Finally i managed to catch up with all the threads here and first of all i want to say it is amazing we have the Planet and can share our feelings. Yesterday was not a kind day for Yuzu and us, but at least it is easier to cope with it together than alone.

 

I am still cursing the universe and the unfairness that happened. I was really hoping and praying that this time all of Yuzu’s efforts would pay off. Each season since Pyeongchang, he had at least one clean or almost clean competition and many clean short programs, but it never happened when he competed against Chen. Each time he went against Chen, some ridiculous coincidences happened and disadvantaged him.

While i did not wish anything bad to his competitors, this time i really begged the universe to be kinder to Yuzu and let him have a Great skate. Not for medals or scores, because they would overscore Chen to stratosphere no matter what, but just for Yuzu to have his efforts recognized and be genuinely happy about his performances. And Yuzu was ready and carefully did everything that was in his power till the very end. I know it leads nowhere but cannot stop asking why only him and why here and why again? I am glad he accepts it and does not blame himself, but he surely must be really disappointed and it breaks my heart. He has had so many challenges of all kinds and he really deserved better.

 

His performance was beautiful apart from that accident. I especially loved his exit from his combination jump, so much control and edge mastery. He should be proud of himself how he handled the rest of his program. He skated so well till the end. 

 

I do not know what exactly to expect on Thursday, but i am sure he will fight like the fighter he is, till the very end. I hope he feels our support. I just want him to be happy so badly. 

And of course, staying uninjured and healthy.

In today's newspaper "Nikkan Sports", Tsuzuki-sensei says he saw a video of Yuzuru landing 4A in the practice before NHK, just before he was injured.

Although Yuzuru has kept saying that he has not landed, I was wondering why he was so confident in the success of 4A.

It seems he has actually landed 4A in the practice.

Although I do think he's truly honest about his success rate being low.... I do think he has landed it and just doesn't want to elaborate/give away things to the press and other competitors

I think landing 4A needs a lot of concentration to balance the many factors. Especially in public, it is harder for him. In other words, I think he doesn’t have the muscle memory yet. But wow, maybe a miracle will indeed happen in Beijing.

People's bullshit in this world makes the beauty suffer, makes nature suffer, makes hard work and kind dedication suffer and troubles numerous souls. I'm trying to learn how this works. Very grateful that this place-planet is created. Sometimes I red a little bit here and found dear and near. Also far. And make my shoulders want to drop: reading and language..for a sculptor with music and dance, 'no chance' and my mind wanted to stop. But we come back, to contribute and to tell you: arigato. Ice is slippery, or can have ruts and holes... and the greatest can get caught in them on the biggest stage. Snow is no different. I just watched Mikaela Schiffren, the GOAT, or close to GOAT in alpine skiing, ski off course in her second event. It's a total shock, disaster of epic proportions in the race. Thses things happen at the Olympics, even to the legends.

After Yuzu's SP, I logged out of all my social media accounts and then decided to workout and have a long sleep    It helped me a lot to relieve stress and reduce sadness and anxiety. I feel much better physically and mentally now, but I will try to stay away from social media for a while since it can be very toxic and depressing. 

PH is the only place I feel safe

I think it's pretty common knowledge here that both the ISU and JSF dislike yuzu and have constantly underscored him in the past few years, but I've always struggled to understand why they dislike him so much to this extent.

 

I really don't understand why the JSF hates yuzu so much. Like, he's their most respected, highest achieving, and popular skater over all of these years. So why are they so cold to him and prefer/push Shoma and Yuma over him? Is it since they want to move on from Yuzu and promote a new generation of Japanese skaters, AKA Yuma? I can't really put my head around this one.

 

And also for the ISU, I guess this directly correlates to the JSF not liking Yuzu. Since the JSF has substaintial power as a federation similar to the Russians and the Americans -- so you would expect that to work to Yuzu's favor, but it really doesn't because his own federation doesn't like him

 

This is just me being really frustrated with all the federations, scoring, etc. At this point it really seems like Yuzu (and Fanyus) vs. the world, and it really makes me sad that it's not going to change. But it really shows how committed Yuzu is to this sport and how much he loves it. He doesn't care so much for the scores but I'm glad he continues to enjoy the sport and push himself further. 

I don't think they hate him. They want to keep him in competition longer without retiring since he is their most valuable skater so they underscore him. I think Yuzu wouldn't want to retire when he isn't at the top so they get more money from his competitions. They are just scared their source of money will go once he retires

Well they saw it with the TE. The ratings were horrible in JPN and USA without him.
