On top of this, I want game battles between them on the plane Maybe Yuzu can get Javi into Monster Hunter. It'd be fun, relaxing, and getting them into a competitive spirit!

Yuzu: Javi, you have to play with me.

Yuzu: I even called the character QuadSalchow in honor of your salchow

Javi: Yuzu...

Yuzu: It's a good name right? Oh wait, maybe you wanted me to call it Charlie, or Don Quioxte instead? Oh, I know we can make 2 characters, and then call them those names.

Javi: ...I want sleep...

Yuzu:...but which class should we make Charlie, and which should we choose for Don? Do you think a pure melee class would work?

i'm really happy that they're coming together because i feel like it would lessen the pressure for them knowing they have each other and... coming together as the TCC team for me is like them saying "we are back and we are ready" "don't mess with us" 

rather than monster hunt i want this:

 

yuzu: you ready

javi: be careful cause I'll get it

yuzu: try to beat me then

javi: I'm totally ready

yuzu: just to remind you I'm at 100 and i don't like anyone stealing my spot

LOL it's entirely possible. Though since Javi is a gamer, too, I'm not sure he'd refuse... Hmm... that's a good question to ask Javi in one of those random Q&As he does sometimes. Sleep or games?

Honestly, I think I was happier about this bit of news than about Brian's 100% comments (probably because I was quite optimistic, so it didn't really surprise me ^_^; ). Yuzu always said Javi helps him relax and laugh, so I want them to sit together and laugh and relax and have fun going into the madness! It's only going to get awkward when they arrive and everyone will pounce on Yuzu and poor Javi will be

 

(Now my only worry is that 11 might be too early considering the mess that the Olympic Village seems to be, with infections and flus and so on... Yuzu being a picky eater and probably having his own food along will probably come in very handy this time, but it's still creepy and I wish they'd all skip the village; though that has issues as well, because I understand the competition venues are in the middle of nowhere or so? So requires long car trips...)

I'm saying this cause this is what we usually do after feeling a great amount of relief, talking about layouts with more confident lol

I'm really glad that in the newly translated Japanese interview he mentioned Plushenko going past 'prime' figure skating age to continue skating and doing what he loves. Quoting Yuzuru's answer from the translation:

"They [Plushenko's various olympic performances] all left different impressions, and each performance had their respective appeal. For that reason, figure skating is something unique, I believe. Producing results isn’t all there is to it––I felt that deeply. That’s why, personally, I’m always able to stay motivated toward figure skating." 

 

This reminds me of a tumblr post I saw previously quoting the answer Yuzuru gave to reporters asking if after Pyeongchang he would retire, he said he'll skate until he becomes satisfied. I find Yuzu's concept of satisfaction to be a very beautiful way to summarize his skating career so far and for the future as well.

Totally agree! It's great news that he's healthy and is ready to face the olympics head-on again! Glad there's the PH forum for all of us to discuss these topics heading into the olympics!

Go to general skating chat- there are already a couple layout hypothesis floating around.

I'm not going to get into layout talks, because I don't have enough experience, but I think the Sochi experience might have come in very handy in making a decision. Because he had 4S then, that wasn't stable but he risked it - and the risk didn't pay off - he will have been able to analyze his own feelings and think about whether his kuyashii was stronger by doing 4S and failing, or if it would have been as bad or worse if he'd skipped the 4S and nailed everything else (except maybe 3F, to have the same scenario). By analyzing this, he should be able to decide whether 4Lz is worth the risk or not.

 

And completely , I am plagued by Yuzu-related signs... on Saturday I went to a mall and stumbled upon a Swan Lake calendar, cactus shaped candles, and an Under Armour shop I had no idea existed here. On Sunday, I went to a Japanese/Asian restaurant and found they had Yuzu lemonade and then also found some great headphones. And now, as I was typing this, the radio started playing Gazebo's I like Chopin... He's EVERYWHERE! (I am NOT complaining, though >_>)

Wow, it's a happy morning!! Yuzu is training almost at full capacity and without pain!! And we'll see him on 11th!!! Yayyyy!!!! 

I'm the happiest cactus from the desert!!! I can't wait to see him!! And Javi!!!
