i read somewhere that the seimei music was rearranged from 7 songs from the soundtrack and there were 33 versions of it from which yuzu chose one for his 2015-16 season

 

maybe they saved the "best" one of the 33 for his FS this season...? (olympics and all...)

 

From what I understood from @gladi's translation of the interview, the music editor arranged a piece together that formed the base of the FS music, and Yuzu and Shae used it for the initial choreography. Over time it suffered modifications, some of which were basically just adding some sounds to certain parts, whereas others required some more cuting. But there was a similar base for all the 33 versions.

 

A Seimei 2.0 using that same base would still very much sound like Seimei 1.0. It'd need to be a completely different cut.

I don't disagree with a Seimei 2.0 with completely different cut, but I think they'd have to start from scratch, maybe, if they were to do so, instead of reusing any of the other 32 versions. Then again, who knows, maybe he'll go with one of the unused versions and have a similar Seimei with subtle differences. I'm prepared for anything at this point.

I don't think any of those 32 versions would be a good idea, because they would sound "almost the same, except something is missing". Which would be absolutely the worst!

 

If they want to do Seimei 2.0, like you said, they will have to do it completely from scratch - and probably do the same hard work of putting together different pieces and basically inventing a new musical piece themselves. Btw I'm all for it. Onmyouji's OST of both movies is just one of the best OST I've heard since Lord of the Rings, LOL. It won't be easy though. They took most of the best pieces for Seimei 1.0 already xD 

Y'all here talking about Seimei and I'm just here praying he won't do a R&J 3.0 because he could want to be consistent with his 3.0 SP

I will believe Yuzu won't add a 4lz when the season starts if it really isn't there but until then, I'm like .... sure whatever Yuzu.

 

i don't think it would be great for him to fall behind a little in the quads race and pretty much totally rely on going completely clean consistently or everyone one else making hella mistakes. But he knows more about his skating than I do so.....

I think also since I am going to be there (as long as it isn't cancelled because of NK's bullshit), it is going to make for a very different experience so I am trying to temper expectations. Of course, I tried that with Worlds and it didn't go so well (thankfully he won). But I'm going to try to just take in the experience and atmosphere and celebrate that my fave guy already has one.

They mentioned the flip a while ago when he was complaining about all the quads the guys are doing.  Another question is how many quads is Chan planning with this flip?
