They just see beauty and elegance, they see someone dancing on skates, so that someone is a ballet dancer! (I'd say also a little detail is that in Italy 'ballerino' means both ballet dancer and just dancer in general, be it modern or hip hop) I watched yuzu at work all the time during my breaks and my coworkers always states how he is dancing on ice instead of skating (and these are all guys talking btw) 1 hour ago, rockstaryuzu said: About the CBC. There's something, I , as a Canadian, have been really surprised by since I became a Yuzu fan on the internet, and that is the level of sheer anger and hatred directed by non-English-speaking fans towards the CBC. I watch the CBC for sports all the time, and their coverage, while often held back by their lack of money (because they are government-funded), has always been positive, honest, straightforward, and as complete as they can make it. They're doing a really big, really difficult job with not enough money, staff or resources. And they don't just cover sports; they're a full network with many, many responsibilities. They cover everything from local village news in the remote North to international wars and everything in between. They may not be perfect in their coverage of Yuzuru, but they are doing their best. They do not hate him; in fact he gets remarkably positive coverage from them (probably due to Kurt being a fan), and they do not try to diss him or put him down. I have seen so many posts by foreign fans knocking the CBC down because they didn't like the coverage, but not one of those people ever stops to consider that maybe their translation is bad, and that they are not correctly understanding what the CBC has said. Or they fail to realize that the CBC is, first and foremost, a news organization - they have to report the truth, even when said truth may be inconvenient for some. It profoundly hurts me that the CBC, a gem of Canadian life, part of the fabric of Canada, gets ripped to shreds over nothing, when they don't deserve it. As for this piece about Yuzu's fans, and the retweet thing: the CBC was being complimentary. They didn't have to do a piece on Yuzu's fans at all, they could have ignored their existence. But instead, they noticed that Yuzu's fans are an interesting news story on their own, and decided to interview some of them. There was no insult or mockery in any of the coverage; it was a gentle and kindly-worded article that I found sweet and interesting. Because it was intended to be sweet and interesting. Those who are offended by this, that is your choice, but there is nothing in this coverage to take offense at. It was NOT meant that way. AS for the twitter post/ retweet: Either RT or don't, your choice. But don't think it was some cynical cheap trick to take advantage of fans for fame. The CBC has far better things to do, than that. As a Canadian Yuzu fan, I'm very offended by how many non-Canadians hate my beloved CBC over nothing. Please stop bashing them. Thank you. Sorry if my comment offended you too, I actually like CBC's broadcast of fs (and of yuzu's program) and the video is fine, I just don't understand the need to put that last part with the tweet in but maybe I just don't get the joke.. Alas it's not that I hate CBC, it's just this one video that I don't agree on Link to comment

I find the CBC, its commentators, and the network as a whole are among the most fair and complimentary towards Yuzu, without gushing too much or being too shallow. Canada has such a rich figure skating history that it generally takes its skating coverage seriously. Plus, what international fans often miss are the little touches of Yuzu-love the CBC often throws into the advertising of its skating broadcasts - their commercials will be very Yuzu-focused, the title/schedule cards will have him, he'll get cool little introduction montages. They know people love him. Link to comment

ainjxx
On 11/19/2018 at 9:34 AM, Vulnavia said: So the tarot topic is an interesting one to me since I’ve studied tarot a bit and have even done some readings for people that have proved to be very accurate to the situation that they were in at the time. I do think that it’s important to remember that tarot is not some magic system for predicting the future the way that some people think of it. (And to be clear I just mean that as a general statement, I’m not saying that anyone here was thinking that or was overreacting to the reading that was being discussed.) Readings are also partially dependent on the mindset of the reader and their own interpretation of the cards that they pull. That being said, this discussion made me curious so I decided to grab my favorite deck and ‘inquire’ about Yuzu’s situation. This weekend has been bonkers enough for all Yuzu fans so why not. But I’ll spoiler cut it for those that don’t care about this topic. Reveal hidden contents So in asking about Yuzu’s current situation, the first card that I got is the Tower, which can represent unexpected change, upheaval, chaos, destruction, etc. Pretty self-explanatory and also sounds really negative on the surface, but this card can also represent the kind of ‘destruction’ that can clear the way for new evolution, for something more solid to be built in the place of what was there before. It’s represented in many decks by a bolt of lightning striking, which can set things aflame but can also bring flashes of great insight. “After a Tower experience, you will grow stronger, wiser and more resilient as you develop a new perspective on life you did not even know existed. These moments are necessary for your spiritual growth and enlightenment, and truth and honesty will bring about a positive change, even if you experience pain and anxiety throughout the process.” Then in asking about Yuzu’s path through his current obstacles, I drew the Hierophant, which can represent a spiritual leader or just teachers/mentors in general and the pursuit of further knowledge/learning. It can represent various institutions/structures or traditional spiritual paths also, but I feel like the ‘teaching/learning and sharing of knowledge’ meaning might be most applicable here. “The card in the Advice position suggests a course of action which will harmonize what you want with what is currently possible. Develop your expertise, and have faith that you are a master in the making.” One interpretation that I think could apply here would be a situation where Yuzu trusts his medical team and follows their advice on treatment while also doing what he did last year and continuing to educate himself as much as possible about his injury and what his options are for rehab. And finally, I asked for some indication regarding the future and what will be on the other side of this obstacle for Yuzu, and I drew the Three of Cups. This card can symbolize friendship and collaboration as well as celebration. It can represent the sense of positivity and inspiration that can come from being together in a group and finding community with like-minded people, whether it’s as friends or through working on something creative and positive together with others. “The network you interact with has a profound impact on your energy...You don’t have to go it alone. When you need support, turn to those you can count on.” Overall, this is a very warm, positive, and encouraging card to draw in this spot, and if I may editorialize a bit I would say that this could also be interpreted to mean that anything positive and encouraging that we can do as fans to show Yuzu our support will be a genuine help to him during this time. If anyone had told me a year ago that I would be discussing tarot on a Yuzu fan forum, I would have been fully , but here we are. The Power of Zu. can i ask how long is the validity of tarot reading? the person on tumblr who did yuzu's reading before did it around nov and it was pretty accurate until olys that's why i got scared when i saw her reading for this season. this time she did it last sept and we're still at nov and lots of stuffs alr happened Link to comment
