I've also ordered a bunch of magazines after Worlds and will be collecting them from my friend this weekend, excited to finally get to check them out! Coincidentally all the covers I ordered are graced by Mr. H&L and as a result of that I ended up double ordering one of the magazines :crazy:

I believe that Yuzuru has scored over 280 points a total of 13 times.

 

Speaking of others who have been around the block as long as or longer than Yuzuru, Patrick Chan has scored over 280 points a total of 5 times and Javier Fernandez has scored over 280 points total of 6 times.

 

 

Isn't it possible if something like the mentioned-above data such as statistics/ rankings/ analysis, etc to be kept as a record on his Bio so that it can be easily found out whenever one would like to refer to ?

 

Besides, any newcomer can as well simply 'discover' how GREAT :space: is at first sight !

Speaking of spins, I've discovered Yuzuru is already basically maxed out on scoring potential. In his Worlds SP, he earned 13.05 points for his three Level 4 spins. With perfect GOE, he would've earned 14.55. So the difference is only 1.5 points!

 

If he's working on them, it's to gratify the audience and give a good artistic impression. It's a bit sad to me that IJS doesn't differentiate spins more, and incentivize their development. Expanding the GOE corridor to -5/+5 could be helpful. The same for step sequences. Boyang and Nathan earned 4.3 for their StSq3, and Patrick and Yuzu earned 6.0 for their StSq4. It's not like a 1.7 point difference adequately reflects what I saw!

 

Probably the CoP wizards among you realized all this, but for me it's a cold shower... the jumps are everything :omg: :hammer:

 

I'm also thinking of it. If ISU wants more skaters with all-round skating skills instead of just focusing on their jumps, they should place a higher value on the other elements like spins and stsq.

I agree, with that. If the ISU want more all-round skaters they have to give more points to spins and steps. That seems logical to everyone.
