Yes, you're right, I meant if he could do it in competition and get the points for it. Isn't there something about the shifting of weight during a combo that would make an Axel-Axel combo not worth it? Take-off and landing foot things? Or does that not matter?

Ah, I don't know about the sources and use of clips - you'd ideally have to PM them on youtube or wherever and ask, and make it clear you'd get no ad revenue and you'd credit them, I suppose. Though I don't know, I've not worked with videos in such contexts. But sending it to somebody on PM as long as it does not get uploaded anywhere should be fine? (hint hint)

    you need a 'hop' between Axels to switch from backwards (landing of your jump) to forwards (takeoff for axel), and thus, it's not a combo, it's a sequence, which means 80%BV of the jumps (combos get 100). I guess it's because since in combo your landing edge is at the same time your takeoff edge and you cannot correct it even if it's iffy, while with hop, there's a chance of getting better takeoff? Though I'm not sure if it's humanly possible, but if somebody *hinthint* decided to be extra and instead of a hop used a turn, wouldn't that make it a combo? I think the handbook had this "max of two turns between combo jumps allowed" rule that would lower goe(?), but not disqualify combo as it is? I seriously need to retrieve my copy of ISU rulebook file... I deleted it after CoC ladies...T.T

    I don't blame you for deleting it after that, it looked like the judges had, too. As had ISU.

    When discusing Yuzu's 3A we cannot forget about his 3A from standstill 

    And I read that apparently Shun Sato had Yolo3A as his last jumping pass at Janapese Junior Nats. It's a Sendai thing! :rofl:

    Can I insist that any judge who doesn't give his excellent solo 3A (only the obviously perfect ones, I'm not unreasonable) a +3 but gives anybody else a +3 for any other jump must write a 3000-word essay to justify their requirements for that +3?

    Read that too, and I renew my tumblr petition fo renaming yolo3A a Sendai jump. This way, the school also gets more recognition and JSF HAS to start taking into consideration taking care of skaters outside of the south Skating capitals, too.

    This is sooo adorable I'm dying! Our BB Yuzu Mushroom. As competitive as he has always been, working hard to catch up with his friend. I was :smiley-laughing021: at him staring at Ryuju's medal. That "my precious" glare has always been with him it seems. Don't ever mess with our BB and his quest for gold. Those eyes say everything :laughing:
