Someone analysed what they thought could have been the max scoring potential of Yuzu's H&L during Worlds. Many of us were wondering too how much higher his score could have gotten.

Might be because of the number of people that would pop up to the event if they heard he'd be coming lol! But yeah, you're right, I remember Javier Raya, Joshi Helgesson and Javi all attended the pre-Worlds simulation event last year. It didn't occur to me to wonder why Yuzu didn't attend lol.

Maybe since some of the skaters, like Jun Hwan, already have competitions coming up soon, so they're already starting with the simulations. But yeah, I'm not a skater so I don't really know how often teams do this.

Actually, I thought simulations were done closer to the competition schedule. Like when Javi attended a simulation event in Canada a few weeks before Worlds last season. I guess it's really something that's done regularly.

The only thing I know about simulations is that they try to replicate as much as possible what it's like in actual competition. I think of it as like a "dress rehearsal," and imagine that it must give the skaters a closer feeling to competing than just running through their programs in practice sessions. Oh yeah, okay shoot me... I missed that by assuming he finished low in that segment therefore wouldn't be able to get higher BV than 4CC lol! I forgot the (negative) GOEs were the reason his final tech scores were lowered.

I think Yuzu's scores are correct as I can actually trace from which competition they came from: - Total (148.88): Worlds 2017 SP BV (45.45) + FP BV (103.43) - SP BV: GPF 2016 (49.75) - FP BV: Worlds 2017 (103.43) I did random checks for some of the other skaters and I could trace the values similarly. I think I'm missing something for Nathan's though as I can't identify from which comp his Total and FP highest BV values came from. There might be a competition I wasn't able to check?

These statistics were posted by @xeyraon the General thread, but I had a question on Nathan's score so I'm reposting here https://m.sports.ru/tribuna/blogs/ternovblogfk/1338234.html His highest FP BV score is listed as 112.87. Wanted to confirm in which competition he received this as I checked his scores from his comps listed in Wikipedia and I couldn't find it. Perhaps he participated in some small comp that's not listed in Wikipedia? Or is this the planned BV score instead of the actual BV received? Just really curious about this.

It seems Shoma unveiled is FP today at PIW Tokyo.

I can't completely understand the table though. Is it a compilation of highest combined BV (in same competition), highest BV in SP and highest BV in FP? The numbers for the other skaters don't add up as well.

That was exquisite. I don't usually watch pairs, but it's hard not to respond to that kind of performance. LOL at the judge who seemed unfazed and had them in 2nd.
