I believe his layout during his free was 4Lo 4S 3F // 4S-3T 3A-2T 4T 3A-Lo-3S 3Lz. So he originally had only one 4T in his layout.

Quoting from the Reuters article: :

If I remember correctly, he mentioned it in an interview afterwards (might look for it later on when I get the chance). I don't believe people were thinking he was planning to do 5 quads until after he mentioned it. Though he didn't say exactly how he planned to incorporate the added quad into his layout. Fans just speculated that the most likely scenario was that he was thinking to revise the 3A combo into a 4T combo. But yeah, we don't know what exactly was going through his head.

I remember some mention of 5 quads at Worlds too. I think some people were thinking he was planning to replace the 3A in the 3A-Lo-3S with a 4T. Which was sort of reinforced later on when he was practicing the 4T combo as what everyone thought was a contingency plan during WTT.

This program really touched me so much when I first watched it. I'm glad it's part of this collection of memorable programs.
