Honestly, I'd rather Yuzu engage with the public and then show his concentration by looking down for a second, but Yuzu always being himself, than all of those other skaters who keep up appearances and hold a character even when they're not 100% into it, or the hold a fake smile on - they act. I don't like watching acting on Ice - or, I guess, just another kind of acting. For example, when Yuzuru was Seimei, he was Seimei, he wasn't playing it. It was different. I don't know, I'm picky about performances, I think. Very picky. I prefer a skater who falls after a jump and puts his real feelings in display, for people to connect and empathize with something real - than a skater who falls and puts a fake smile right after, because you cannot empathize with that. A performer who can make you 'enjoy' a mistake (suggestion: Worlds 2012 Yuzu) is a performer on another level.

He looked down during Seimei too! GPF included, I think. I don't think I've seen other skaters do that, but maybe I haven't been looking closely. Maybe his gesture is necessary to remind everyone that he is human He's always been the kind of skater that shows his weak side even when skating. He doesn't keep up appearances. I like this about him too.

Since it's the SP, it will be cut a lot. The whole piece is about 5 minutes long, so even for a Long Program, it would have to be cut. Luckily, as most classical pieces, it has a lot of repetitions so for Yuzuru's team it would be easy peasy to get it down to a LP lenght. *I'm already accepting it as a LP LOL*

And a red costume? I swear, red suits his black hair and pale skin so well! I'm partial for Carmen because I played the violin variations so to me it will never be a boring warhorse. If Yuzu has a Carmen FS... bring it on! (but I highly doubt it anyways)

This was exactly the time I got into Yuzu, so I was lucky because I had the 320+ video playlist of his performances on youtube to keep me going for a while, and then 4CC was my first live streaming which I did alone at night cursing at the CoD Good times...

I mean, If the question was "what's the most popular piece", it's this. But the more 'warhorsey' as in 'the most powerful', then it's definitely the finale of the carmen variations. This is a piano version, but you can recognize the usual variations + the same chords repeating over and over. I wouldn't mind him skating to this piano version after all... but piano + piano would be too much, I guess xD

Though we already have two Black Swans, if I'm not mistaken. So I really hope at this point that Yuzu's FS is not Swan Lake... unless he wants to perform the best Black Swan ever and beat the girls to it!

This is surely gonna happen. No matter the music, we're gonna love his FS, because it's his skating. It's his emotions and his skills and his being in the music, not only just a random piece of music. I have many fears (Poto being the biggest of all) but I know they're probably irrational, because Yuzu and his team know what they're doing far better than me and everyone else here (imo), so I'm not really sure why I'm so stressed out. He could take the most used warhorse of all time and still make it unique and beautiful.
