There's been many times a reporter or host would comment (Asaichi and FaOI Kobe) that he's very much like a prince or prince-like and he keeps insisting he's not the 'prince-type' and more of a sportsman...

That show was so unfair. Only Stephane and Shizuka were single skaters. They were up against ice dancers who were used to skating with a partner (even if it wasn't their own partners). Both are still perfection in my eyes though...

Hmmmm... I'll say this just so that you'll see that her article has some bias and why it was an issue with Japanese fans. She's follows figure skating for Nikkei (a respected news source) so she knows about warhorses... she's also a big fan of Yuzu's predecessor as national champion. So.. that's why fans were inclined to believe she had written that article with some negative connotation on purpose. But lets not dwell on that article or issue any longer. She's a small speck compared to all other media outlets who adore him.

It's heartbreaking to read. She's a really strong person. I wouldn't know what to do if what happened to her happened to me (probably panic a lot). Glad she had good support from Guillaume and hoping her recovery is going well!

Hello! I've only come across one subtitled CCTV commentary on youtube - the 2015 NHK Trophy SP. Any other competitions are mostly translated and not subbed. {Link to the Competition & Commentary Spreadsheet} Would love to see some CCTV subs because they always give lovely commentaries (that I've read so far).

I'm not sure how he taught/explained jumps to Kenji M., Nobu, and T. Mura but he had that interview with Mastuoka-san at 16 where Matsuoka was in awe at how Yuzu explained his 4T technique using physics terms. My own opinion: I feel like he sometimes trolls Nobu because in the post NHK 16 interview with Nobu, wasn't there an exchange (and I'm paraphrasing) where Nobu was asking Yuzu to explain 'shuu and paa' and Yuzu was like "you get what I mean!" but Nobu said "you've told me this before and I still don't get what you mean."

I'd still want a booklet of his his onomatopoeias... with illustrations. hahaha.. I think it'll be cute. I remember when "Shuu Paa" first came out they dedicated a video segment trying to explain it (bless Japanese media for this one).
