I start to get really annoyed... Why does everyone make it sound like the MVS award is NOT a given?! Why do Tarasova, Orser and others have to speak up for Yuzu to win this?! Is the MVS award not about money and popularity and biggest fandom anymore? I don't know why I care about this clownery award at all, I really shouldn't... but it makes me angry and sad. Sorry for this rant. It's nice that TAT praises and worships Chopin, it's a legendary program and deserves every credit. Gomen, I edited this post like 10 times now to calm down a little. This MVS debate is not good for my blood pressure
-
Sorry for the delayed response. My internet was down this morning I added both versions now in two different tabs (part 1 and part 2). Is that a good solution? I don't know how strict GDrive is with copyrights, I didn't have any issues so far (phew).

This is extra ridiculous. According to ISU's own definition MVS it's literally the only award that can be measured and justified by numbers at all. Biggest fanbase, most klicks, likes and views on SM and YT, highest search score, endorsements... yeah pretty much everything that ESPN puts into account when they create their 100 rankings. And I don't see any other figure skater in that list except Yuzu. I'm really curious how they wanted to explain/justify that decision (if it's true)...

Thank you sooo much!! I have been searching for a full record of this program like since forever @sweetwater Do you mind, if I exchange the video that I shared here on the Planet to this version?
-
Yup. It's geoblocked for me
-
This version should have been in the bracket, too, for maximum chaos: Clean Chopin 3.0 with opening 4Lo at FaOI Makuhari 2017 (I'm not sure, if a complete record exists. This one looks like an edit of different broadcasts, but it's the only one I could find in my archive.)

I'm a bit surprised that Brian has to remind him of that regularly tbh. I mean... How many times has Yuzu talked about his goal to become a total package skater? That the balance of technique and artistry is very important to him? That quality elements with difficult transitions are his selling point? That he doesn't want to bring a new jump in competition, until he can get positive GOE on it? I think, it's pretty hard to find an interview, where Yuzu didn't mention at least two of these things himself
-
ACI 2017 vs 4CC 2020 in the first round?! For real?! Gosh, this is so cruel. Historic WR vs current WR. I guess, this is some Yuzu-like thing again. Chopin challenging Chopin and 6 other Chopins for the #1 short program in figure skating history

Yes, but only WITH backward crossrolls. ANY RULEBOOK ON THIS PLANET THAT FORCES YUZURU HANYU TO TAKE OUT THE HOLY BACKWARD CROSSROLLS FOR THE SAKE OF POINTS AND LEVELS, SHOULD BE BURNED TO ASHES.
-
Most of you probably remember that iconic edit of Yuzu practicing to Muse, aye? Today that user uploaded a new edit. It's great!
-
With whom would you like Yuzuru Hanyu to skate?
Henni147 replied to SitTwizzle's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
There is only one duo/collab I root for with all my toes and fingers: Yuzu and Javi. Whatever that is. Skating side by side or mirroring each other... skating with each other or against each other... with music or without... whatever they like. It would be such a waste of potential, if that didn't happen. Not kidding. Their random stroking excercises and jump battles in the past were sooo good! A full program would be mindblowing for sure... Personally I wouldn't mind a good battle between clever spiritual Seimei and a temperamental Spanish matador. I wonder who would win...- 51 replies

Who needs liquid gold, if we have THE doodle of doodles with liquid nitrogen. Absolute genius PS: Why do I have the feeling that this contact list is not too far away from reality

I was expecting a great interview and it is a fantastic interview! I love how CBC underlined Yuzu's words and other people's comments with fitting footage and soothing background music. The natural switch between English and Japanese was really nice, too. Scott picked the right questions and with his calm and friendly presence he created an atmosphere Yuzu felt comfortable with. It's great that he got the chance to talk about himself a bit and express his feelings to Canadian media. I hope, he will get more opportunities like this in the future

OMG this is brilliant "Meanwhile Yuzuru in his apartment in Toronto" https://mobile.twitter.com/axelovelove/status/1239376233407930376

Thank you everyone! It makes me really happy that I could light up the mood with this clip a little bit Aye, that was one of the reasons why I picked this song. The Ice-kiss-hyroblading was the part I edited first Yes, it's great that the song fits all kinds of programs that Yuzu skated in the past 2-3 seasons. I also realized how many different programs Yuzu actually used in this cycle so far. The huge variety in music styles, character and atmosphere makes up for every single recycling. Twice. "Everything changes, but beauty remains." That pretty much sums up figure skating at the moment. They can change the rules, abuse the judging system, pick their favorites, but Yuzu's beautiful skating remains. I'm so happy that he continues for (at least) one more season

Sometimes staying at home does miracles to you your creativity. This happened to me yesterday. Finally I created a new video again! I felt like an emotional mess during the whole editing and sobbed over the keyboard from start to finish. I put some of the most touching moments of Yuzu's career since Pyeongchang in one clip. It's not a full recap really, since many things are missing. It's more like a mix of single fragments that came to my mind. With the long drought ahead of us it might be the best occasion to share it. It's my little present to the Planet. I hope, it makes you happy, too PS: You can also take it as a tribute video to the greatest lovestory on ice: Yuzu and Ice-chan

Same I was waiting for I Don't Dance! so badly. No wild cats. No status quo. Unforgivable, indeed.

Thank you everyone for bringing up all the great and lovely Yuzu moments of this season! It really warmed my heart It's impossible for me to pick my favorite moment, there are just too many. But I'd like to recap all the highlights: Autumn Classic: Origin 2.0 costume reveal! It's my all-time favorite costume. So royal! It must have been breathtaking moment live in the arena! Also, the victory ceremony warms my heart everytime when Keegan held up the Japanese flag for Yuzu during the national anthem and the boys skated around the rink waving their flag. That was so lovely. Skate Canada: Yeah. Awesome event as a whole from first to last day. I could rewatch Yuzu's incredible practice run-through of Otonal in 24h loop. That was probably the best version of Otonal he has ever skated in public. The jumps and the step sequence were just otherworldly. His programs in competition were mindblowing, too. Perhaps my favorite version of Origin. Also the hug with Nam and his delicate shade on the judges in the K&C And of course the gala program that nobody expected Thank you, Jordan, for your awesome PW practice footage! NHK: Thank God! No injury! That was my most important take from this competition. The EX gala was my favorite part, especially Origin encore in Haru Yo Koi costume was epic GPF: The greatest rollercoaster ride ever with so many ups and downs... THAT QUAD LUTZIFER. Just frame it and put it on the wall. So perfect! Also congratulations, Yuzu, to your first successful 5-quad freeskate! Yeah, the Nessie-attempts were unforgettable. I'm a bit relieved that I didn't watch that escalation in person. I would have needed a defibrillator. Probably. And my personal GPF highlight: incredible Notte Stellata in the gala. Italy. Olympic venue. Perfect setting for a perfect program. JNats: My all-time favorite version of Seimei. Hello, BACKWARD CROSSROLLS!!! 4CC: It's hard to find something that I did not like about this competition. The whole men's short program was legendary. Chopin 4.0 felt indeed like good old wine and cheese We rewatched it with my family like 5 times in a row yesterday. Daddy was humming the melody of the piano and jumping up and down on the couch The 20 second long jump cascade in Seimei with 4S, 3A and 3F was epic, too. This is something that only the GOAT can do. I wonder, what kind of crazy layout Yuzu planned for Worlds... For my nerves it's probably better that we don't know Gala. My favorite version of Hope & Legacy. Too good. PS: I didn't know that I needed Vogue & Legacy, but retrospectively I definitely DID!!! Last but not least: I loved to create all the EX polls this season!! That was so much fun. I really hope that we can see LGC and stroking excercises in future EX galas

Suggestion for the long summer break: TCC can invite Jordan for one day to the club and record a small Team Cricket show. Everyone can skate in normal training gear and choose a program or do a funny impro challenge. It would be so cute, if the skaters announced each other and commented on each other's performances with mommy Tracy Advantages: no need to travel, no media madness, safe, calm and familiar atmosphere, no pressure...
-
The Cricket Family is healthy and happy. Best news of the day Yuzu sounds like he just finished a marathon of 10 FS run throughs or practiced 4A, 5A and 6A in a row

There you go. I'm off for 20 hours and 9 new pages in the General Chat wtfhdkbfkmhohgdfh It may sound a bit strange, but I'm so happy right now for so many reasons: It's such a relief that skaters, fans and officials don't have to risk their health in the face of recent events regarding the Corona virus. I would be really worried for everyone. I don't get why they waited so long with the cancelling, but better late than never, I'd say. It feels a bit like retributive justice for all those skaters who got robbed of a chance to compete at Worlds like Yan Han, Donovan Carrillo or Dasa Grm. I felt so sorry for them. NO. AWARD. CLOWNERY. This is a gift from heaven. There is something like a God after all. Yuzu finally gets the chance to finish a season injury-free with a lot of time to rest, prepare new programs and practice without disruptions. Imagine, how amazing the result will be. Yuzu is back on top of the world rankings where he belongs. It doesn't make up for all the robbery that happened in the past years, but hey. It's a start. This is the first time that I'm totally chilled about the long drought, because I have the strong and positive feeling that it will be worth the wait!

If Yuzu doesn't win MVS for whatever perverse reason, feel free to remind the ISU, who has turned Laureus 2019, Google Search 2019 and ESPN 100 upside down in the past two seasons. The man with 0 SM followers who beats Novak Djokovic and Tiger Woods in online search numbers. Fanyus flooding Laureus' Twitter account and Google's comment section on YT were definitely moments for the history books To make 100% sure that these sweeties never get lost, I decided to save them as screenshots: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1V-JkDKyibppT4ROhV75tghxf-nSZuLWV https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ASyNxsOqtofN018B3iIxZGigUyH2X-lj

Did anyone mention Yuzu's sit spins?! I think, it's time to bring back my sit spin attention post Joking aside. My current perception of Yuzu's spins is the following (it's a bit longer, so I put it into spoilers):
-
It would be fun, if Origin 2.0 miraculously won the award for best program or costume, while Yuzu casually dropped it midseason (It's not that the award wasn't 100% deserved, though. #TeamOrigin)
