I have absolutely no doubt that Latto was Scooter
-
The performance video is great - but I seem to be the only one who absolutely hates the addition of Latto. And the explicit version. Why? Because it's gratuitous. It isn;t because our baby bunny is all grown up, it's because he (or others) seem to think that you can show "maturity" by being explicit and, frankly, disgusting - Latto. When nudity or sex scenes are in movies when they add nothing but titillation or exploitation, it's pointed out as gratuitous - not necessary for the story or not necessary, period. In Hollywood, most actresses will not do nudity or partial nudity or explicit sex scenes - and especially if it really is not necessary for the plot or the story. Hence - the explicit version is gratuitous (how many times does he sing "f-k"?) as is the addition of Latto into the MV. Yes - I'm older, but I do remember when the attitude towards the gratuitous sexualization of women in film changed and it was for the better. I also think this MV and Seven, in general, only topped Jimin because of pre-promotion and promotion. The story parts of the MV are cool and would have been better left alone - We all wondered (and I still do) why JK's solo outing was so heavily promoted, while none of the other members solos were. I still wonder. I'm not being a prude - I'm being sad.

Okay - haven't watched GMA yet and have to run to a dental cleaning (and poor Bella had three teeth removed yesterday at doggie teethcleaning). So I'm behind - but I have to say that the explicit version totally unnecessary (what? we don't have imaginations?). I'm not wild about the song at all. The MV is cool but---- As far as the solo outings, I;'m much more into Jimin's two latest MV's and Astronaut and On the Street )and not crazy for J Cole, but a lot less fond of latto- whose idea was she?). I actually hope it does well but doesn't knock Like Crazy out. Or Take Two. I'll try to get to the viewing party but have to run now!

Jin will be out four months before Hobi - so that's the longest he'll be alone. And Jimin going to NY, just to support or does he have something else going? If he was promoting Tiffany or someone else, they'd have that news out there.
-
I wonder what is meant by "featured"? I'm annoyed that anyone needs to be "featured" - as if JK isn't enough. This person is a rapper but so crude and not really talented. If Justin Bieber and his wife are featured, it's the work of Scooter. And if any Kardashian shows up at all, I'll be ill. Why, why, why would there not be enough confidence in JK's draw and popularity to allow him to be solo (not counting his backup dancers)? It's weird that there seems to be this huge "he'll be #1" pre-release press when there wasn't for the other guys, yet he doesn't need any of it.

Seven has two versions - regular and "explicit". Amygdala was age restricted - at least in Korea. 'YouTube warning cited that the video “may contain topics related to suicide or self-harm.”' I noticed when I was in Korea that I couldn't watch it unless I gave them a Korean phone # and agreed to something.... Any radio station will be able to play the one - but maybe not the other. I think that the iTunes offer of both implies the lyrics are explicit. I don't know, but it's possible there will be two versions of the MV, based on lyrics. I still don't expect to see anything I would call "explicit" from JK in a MV. I wonder if both versions will count as two songs (like the english version of Like Crazy is counted as it's own song for streaming counts and then both versions of Like Crazy are totaled together -)

I get more Jin updates than Hobi on any given day - jin files @seokjinfile . As sultry and sexy as JK has been appearing lately (Jimin, too), I think we can expect him to NOT violate standard SoKorean mores in his MV. It simply wouldn't be okay to do so. There may be suggestive things, but nothing explicit. (I have to think that whoever wrote the line "Give me a good ride" for Jimin was unaware of how that was going to hit in other cultures....).

TXT - And I'm very into trying to give our guys as much play time as possible, especially when a new song comes out. Jimin dominates my Amazon Music list and Chapter Two for Spotify and YouTube. I plan on redoing all of them after JK's song comes out. I'm still a little sad that Astronaut and all of Jack in the Box didn't do better - Indigo, too - but I think it was so close to Proof still being streamed. Don't know. Thanks for the research! Also - no to camping out -

I think he takes his music very seriously, though he's not a serious guy ( not in the same vein as RM -). Isn't the dichotomy part of being a 25, almost 26 year old? And RM and his hair - you had speculated that he would wait until after ARMY day to say he is entering the military. Now I am wondering if he'll announce this week (maybe Jimin?) before JK's single comes out, knowing that JK's song and success will take some of the sting away. Jin ("you can't look at this face")and Hobi announced at least a few weeks before having to show up and the hair didn't go until almost the day. Still, I suspect having his hair shorter and shorter will make it easier for him....

My copy of the book arrived today (Amazon delivers on Sunday -) I've read about 20 pages so far - Tae - I think it is very possible he would be collaborating with both Billie and Lady Gaga. Even his two-song tiny release of Christmas Tree and Heaven had him singing with someone (on Heaven). His solo album has been in the works seemingly forever and he has made a number of trips overseas, though usually to Paris. It's possible that production of his stuff has been happening for over a year. I don't think there will be a lot on it that he wrote himself - he's just too inclined to throw his own stuff out. Hopefully, there will be one.

This seems more a TXT song than anything else. Oddly, I heard it several times before seeing this MV and I thought it was all TXT. And JK. OMG - and they are pushing him hard (Scooter, etc..). Jimin and Yoongi are #1 and #2 on sales for the first six months of the year. JK will be right up there and will unfortunately crush this in a week. JK is not going to leave BTS and be a break-out solo-solo artist. This is part of his solo project. Maybe his promotion heat has something to do with him being the youngest and his CK promotions, but he'll be going into the military just like the rest of them. And there's still Tae - who is considered the hottest looking one, and what a voice. They all have their own brilliant charms. I just really hope OT7 gets the kind of heat and promotions when they are back together. (also, sitting at SFO between flights....just a horror getting back... but six hours from being home and with the dogs and being in the scorching heat.

Celine show has been cancelled. I saw one pic of him at some concert but suspect he'll head home soon. And this blond looks softer than blonds on him have been. The tweet doesn't make it look as good as he did at Incheon when he was leaving Seoul.
-
That is likely but doesn't explain why he doesn't keep Brian as a coach. He still could train remotely and still could be at TCC for a couple of weeks here and there and also have Brian meet up with him prior to competitions. He is obviously allowed some leeway to attend competitions. And he has some summer time off. And about six weeks starting mid-December so he could theoretically spend up to six weeks (or 4 weeks if he wants to be home at Christmas) before the big competitions in late winter - Who knows? I don't see what other coach he may have picked up.
-
I tried to follow the person who posted these and twitter says I've reached my max for how many I can follow - and i follow, in addition to BTS-related posts, maybe 10 people. Musk is really annoying me.
-
He was remote training - but had in person training before competitions with Brian. I don't think he was ever in Toronto at all - except maybe just prior to Skate America. It wouldn't have interfered with his university schedule. I don't know why he's left TCC and Brian. I'd like to know if this was Jun's choice or one made by the Korean Federation.

Because we'd never have heard about it without a billboard -
-
Oh - you can't read 6000 posts a day. I think that anyone who reads 6000 posts a day needs help. I wonder if he means "scrolls by". And does he count ads.
-
Hobi's Insta post - but so welcome and a reminder that it's been a year since "More". I read that if you don't have a twitter acct, you can' access twitter, but not sure if that's the case. There's this (and who the hell posts more than 6000 times a day?)
-
But it doesn't hold money back from the label or the distributer - Big Hit Hybe Geffen - they all get something from the digital sales. There is zero reason for Billboard to do this. And what about artists just starting out who want to release their own material? Like soundcloud or even if they have a studio recording - how do they get charted?(They don't -) As much as it discriminates against our favorite, it truly discriminates against fans who want to support their favorite artists but only want or can only afford digital. What if you don;t even have a CD player? People are going back to vinyl. DVDs are becoming extinct because people stream movies. Anyone notice how short RM's hair is in his latest Insta?
-
There is still going to be a huge disparity between Billboard and iTunes. JK will be #1 on iTunes globally within a day.
-
I wonder if this applies to albums or just singles? And this method would not have recognized Astronaut, let alone Jack in the Box, which was only digital. And it really is coldhearted. There are lots of fans, lots of ARMY, who wouldn't be able to afford some of the CDs but do download their favorite songs. It is so limiting for the fans and for the groups - Billboard is dictating how a group or singer can engage with their fans. Clearly directed at BTS but will impact other artists in time. It's just much more affordable to put a song or album out digitally and not have to worry about packaging and shipping, etc.. F- them. And Tae looks gorgeous and his hair soft. I was afraid it was going to be a crunchy poodle look-

If I thought that using the Weverse app, that is clearly not perfected yet, nor do we have an idea of cost to ARMY and non-ARMY, would actually guarantee the member would see the letter, I might give it a shot (after they know what they are doing). But we really don't know if there is any more of a chance of them reading these "fan letters" than them actually getting the #to_ blah blah blah messages. I'd love to know if Jin and Hobi actually receive any messages - And the single coming out the 14th!!! That gives TXT exactly one week to top the charts. Only one week. This is kind of stepping on toes. But an album tease? And where did Tae go?
-
Protecting our guys - and they had a notice about people impersonating the members. I'm glad I'm not the only one who got one of those messages and glad they are going after people like that. (Still would like to hear what you all think about this "fan letter" deal)
-
Not sure which was the first posting on this Fan Letter thing, so including multiple posts. What do you think? Are the letters free? A better chance of members reading them or is this just another Weverse money making thing? And also an unrelated post about a Hybe exhibit in Germany.
