  1. Gotta love baby Nam in this, too.
  2. What? What organizer would hint such a ridiculous vote count? How could Yuzu, with the number of fans he has internationally, NOT be the winner of that. (He's also the GOAT, so there's that...)
  3. Well, that's so unfair! NBC had actually blocked off about 20 hours or more for figure skating starting on Thursday through tomorrow and now they are showing something called "Monster Jam". I'm not even going to look at what that is. They could've shown the Olympics. They're even the network that has rights to the Olympics. But, nooooooo. No skating for me.
  4. I can see it because I need it more than any one. Aren't you in the states? It shouldn't be geoblocked from you on YouTube.... It's not like there's any reason at all, while there will be no competitions for 6 months, for anything to be geoblocked in the states (damn NBC Gold....)
  5. Just what I needed today. Sometimes, it is easy to forget just what an amazing skater Brian was. One of the best. And he is the perfect coach for Yuzu (especially in conjunction with Tracy and Ghislain).
  6. It is, isn't it? What comes up changes every few days - or maybe if I look specifically for FAOI stuff, the next time, it might suggest some. Lately, it has this video, the WR from 4CC and something from GP final as he top three.
  7. And I'm also able to get the video on plain old Youtube. Don't know who is blocking it from anyone... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sR4P-dRvgk4&t=33s This is NOT embedded - that may be where the problem is for people.... It has 5478 views so far. Just go to YouTube - and query Yuzuru Hanyu (which is my default YouTube query...
  8. I was able to watch it before and now I can't! At least here. I had minimized it on my computer so I could watch it again and again and the website it's still on is https://www.cbc.ca/sports/figure-skating-star-yuzuru-hanyu-shares-his-emotional-journey-to-becoming-world-s-best-1.5499431 I wonder if that works. It's not Youtube... Why and who would geoblock this? It's Geoblocked because it's embedded - see the next comment by me and go to YouTube directly.
  9. Jason came home to the states, but that's a vastly different thing that Yuzu getting on a jet and going to Japan when there is no way to know when Canada would let him return. I do hope he's in Toronto.
  10. Really? When my late husband had his first bout with cancer, it was stressed that he make every single radiation treatment Every single chemo - even on weekends. Is there a way to stagger arrival times for the most needy? Being the the waiting room with not just other patients but with those who rove them over and need to wait must be the most dangerous time for exposure. Keeping everyone who came along with the patient outside and asking them to not enter the building would lower the risk of exposure -unless the patient has already been exposed, I suppose, and then everyone is at risk. What a dreadful decision to have to make.
  11. Bummer - no skating, no movies (presuming there are more than 50 people in a theatre), no dining out. What sort of PTO is this? Any one else in your practice want to trade you some days for you to use later on in the year? Virus or no virus, those babies just keep on getting born when they want to be.
  12. Sven is a cutie. I already have my name/name done. Are you sure you want to ail them all? Added expense and we could get the at ACI (for those of us going to ACI -and ACI MUST happen, we have to have something to look forward to).
  13. Thanks for the translation - does anyone know what Jun said?
  14. Does he have any say in which ones he skates? If so - Skate Canada and Rostlecom Cup would be best for him, timing wise, with weeks in between and weeks before the GP final.... Aren't they kind of by invite only? Or does JSF have a say?
  15. Olympic channel website quoted NC. He was pleased his coach didn't have to risk getting sick.
  16. It is a fairly safe thing to predict it will be at least a year before a vaccine for this virus is able to be used. First, they have to come up with one (or more) vaccines and then test them for a period of time. There is no way to rush the science. Maybe some countries will come up with something a little bit sooner but it won't be approved for use in the states. Protocols. The best we can hope for, really, is effective treatment soon. Especially for the elderly.
  17. It is winter in Australia in August. most flus (and no one knows if this will behave like other coronavirus's and the flu) are a seasonal deal. In the northern hemisphere, regular flu season is usually December through maybe April. But, truly, no one knows if this will behave like other virus'. There is a prediction that if it does dissipate in the spring, it will likely come back next season. Unknown - but there will be no vaccine by then, so this could all be ugly again next year.
  18. There are no other ISU events but many of the skaters are already lined up for ice shows. And getting the rink would be problematic - it's the home rink of the Montreal Canadians. They are not going to postpone it, period.
  19. No panic - just concern. Mine being that I get there and cases go up exponentially and the US doesn't let me back in. I feel worse for those already on their way...
  20. Roman is a good spinner - but I think that Yuzu is greatly underscored on his spins (and his step sequences) routinely.
