JT was 21 or 22 when he said that about Britney, 21 and 22 yr old guys are not known for discretion. Jimin, JK and Tae are all nominated for MAMA's - in the same category. (Hobi and Yoongi both nominated, too - against each other) and BTS has two noms. If JK or Jimin knew in advance that they are winning, maybe they would go. Or maybe will go for the group - but we haven't seen any solo member appear FOR the group unless they've already won a solo award at that show. If JK wins, does he go up along for BTS? Ditto for Jimin? Would they both? Only a week and we'll know. But I kind of hope JK and Jimin are having a lovely vacation together, away from the public eye. And I am so unclear on what time the watch party is with the time change

I keep seeing articles sent to me from Google (I get Yuzu and BTS updates) saying that JK confirmed he'd be IN the military in December. Multiple reports (or mis-reports). I haven't seen anything from BigHit....

I think JT is amazingly gifted - don't know that much about his personal travails, but I'd certainly take anything Britney has to say with a huge grain of salt.

Do some saesangs and a press member of two live at the airport? (Having been, it has always been press-free when I’ve been there.) how do these people even know? I hope they can have some alone time unharassed on this trip

And I was thinking about the Asian awards shows coming up - I don't think four of them would show up representing BTS because they have not appeared as BTS with less than the full 7. Hobi accepted an award for them at one the shows last year but he'd been nominated (and won) for his solo work. If one or more are nominated for solo work, then the same would likely happen. I don't know who would win for what and I think they are in direct "competition" with each other. With that being the case, I wouldn't imagine any of them going because unless one knows there is a win for him, going would look presumptuous. Guess we'll see -

Charles has an awareness of cultural importance - and BTS has been compared to the Beatles before (next week the 60th anniversary of the rel;ease of I wanna Hold Your Hand!!) I don't know about the radio silence thing before they enter a training camp - Jin had his last live on his birthday and just got up and left without saying goodbye - and he was in the military within two weeks. Twitter has been busy trying to make us feel better - And I guess those official letters on Weverse do get read - at least by Tae. (And there must be a "clearinghouse" for military mail.....maybe goes to one central location and then distributed, but we do know what base Jin is at and Hobi is at so it's not like giving us a mailing address would reveal anything we don't know-)

I think it will be at least a month before any of them actually enter basic training. The time between this notice for Jin, Hobi and Yoongi and their actual entrance date was 6-8 weeks, I believe. MAMAs are in a week (?) and the MMA the first week of December. I believe that none of the four will be gone in the next couple of weeks. I should think they can do what they want and appear where they want until the day they actually enter the base.

This will put a lot of pressure on TXT to do a tour starting in late winter - How is anyone writing the members that are already in? There was that article about the issues the military were having with the amount of mail Jin was getting - so there must be a way to write physical letters to all of them. Addresses need to be found out... Six months? I bet it will be a little less. All of the four won't go in on the same day - or will they? And how many will go to the same training base? We could start trying to guess the order of actual enlistment. Right now, I'd say Jimin will be last since he just recorded a MV and will have a new song, maybe next month? (Doesn't he?) I wonder how BigHit is going to deal with the silence. They must have some content to release but even five months, or even four months, with no Lives will cause severe withdrawal symptoms. For the first time in over ten years? We have gotten some interaction from Hobi and Jin in chats and in occasional "artist" posts. Nothing from Yoongi yet, but I think even in the civil service, he'd be silent for 100 days? It would be doing a great service to global ARMY if BigHit would release information of 1)where the members are and how we can communicate with them - or to them, I guess and 2)what the restrictions are for military personnel. It's like we discover the restrictions one little bit at a time (I suspect Korean ARMY knows all of these things but where are they posting?) Still trying to hang on to the little silver living of knowing they will be back in 2025 and how awesome that will be. I really want to suggest a In the Soop/Bon Voyage kind of thing, but with them, without cameras, for a few weeks first, to remember what they are together. Damn. Gonna miss those beautiful men.

And the announcement we've been knowing was coming eventually is out. For all four of the remaining members - but I am trying to be happy that we will soon know when all of them will be done with the military and can be back together again as BTS in 2025. A sort of relief but sad, too.

Great - 6 am instead of 4 am. I will, however, wake up early for it. The price on the chocolates is crazy. If someone really really wants that empty box I could have them shipped to the place I stay on Jeju, but I;d eat the chocolates and between shipping there and then shipping to one of you, the cost of a small (fits 8 chocolates) box would probably end of being at least $50, probably more. I definitely need a different time for a replay. 4 am won't work any better for me tomorrow than it did today. The 25th must be at another hour. I haven't seen anything on Weverse one way or another. I also was a little freaked out, while trying to hunt down the chocolate that was supposed to be for sale on Weverse tomorrow (tonight) and checked in the Global Shop where they have the concert on disc for sale. Huh? Only on the global shop. Also no chocolate. Holding out hope that the 25th showing will be at a time similar to how they did replays for BTS concerts, so an hour when I'm awake and it's civilized one.

I was asleep. @rockstaryuzu watched it - I thought, and still hope, that there will be, maybe a single?, replay. I am pretty sure I read beforehand that there would be availability for ARMY who were working, at school or sleeping. Interesting that the most comments on Twitter, before it stated (checking to posting time) and during were concerns about Weverse crashing. Was Jimin there? Why wouldn't all of the available members be there to support him? (Glad Hobi could watch it - and would be surprised if Jin didn't.) And it was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. I've seen little bits and not the "music show" I expected.

If he is going to thank ARMY for coming out to greet him, more ARMY are going to try to show up at the airport. It's an invitation. And all the solos are “pitted” against each other. I almost understand RM not being nominated because his album was almost too narrow for ARMY- but no reason that TXT isn’t there (but what are the dates this awards cover? FREEFALL and Chasing After You are relatively new-). My biggest hope in this entire awards show is for BTS to win over JK. Love JK but it would be, I think, a very sad day for one to dominate over the 7.

There was a long piece of Airung News about k-pop and k-drama stars having to do military service. They don't actually answer one of the three fan questions - the one about if OUR guys are safe. I was a bit surprised ut wasn't addressed, especially after the nurse/vaccination incident with Jin. THe link is here and they start about the military at about 5 minutes in : (and showing two of the BTS members in their "promo" would make you think they;d talk alot about them - they don't. Also - Permission to Dance, which is digital only but with lots of practice extras. However $82. $82? I have seen PtD 3 times in person, paid and recorded it a couple of times (maybe 3?) and am trying to decide how much I need this one, I would hope the extras will show up on YouTube or Daily Motion because I think I must have, easily, a couple thousand dollars into that concert alone. I remember asking before the last PAY streamed performance "goo, how many times do I need to see this?" and, as I recall, the general response was that you cna't see it too often. I'll think about it....

I’m just biased towards Jimin. Period. And Budapest is the go to place in Europe to shoot movies and MV. It can substitute for most locations throughout Europe. But I though he was sone with promotions. We saw him doing a dance practice but Hybe announced an “announcement” about military service by December, so Jimin could be doing one last single. He wouldn’t tour anyway- maybe music shows in Korea and possible trip to the states. JK, Tae, Yoongi - picking up bad colds and coughing and having a hard time shaking it? Might not have anything to do with Covid. Lecturing mom again: they smoke. People who smoke get sicker more often and colds last longer. God, I wish they’d stop. (End of anti-smoking rant for the day).

When bell bottoms came back - and then tye-dye tshirts- I had a bad sense of deja vu. And for all, to sum up my trip to see Chris: we got great FREE tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan. Many hours and my the most I've laughed i years. My face hurt all night... We watched quite a bit of Get Back, which is about the Beatles, shot in 1969, building up to their final appearance together and album. It's nearly 8 hours long (and in 3 parts - we got half way into part 2). On Disney+ and highly recommended. And then Lexxie came back from five days of a "girls weekend". She wouldn't sit through Chasing That Feeling (Chris loves it) and wanted me to watch multiple concert videos of a group she's going to do a MV for. She wouldn't watch Yet to Come: the concert in Busan. Chris and I had already watched it. She walked out of the room after ten minutes. Someone who cares only for what she wants. And so annoying. How can 1)anyone not like BTS and 2)so rude to walk out. I'm happy to home and back on the Planet more
