May Hybe sue them all for slander. - Yes to Jin - And I HATE screamers! I can't believe that girls would scream in a movie theatre - it's not like the group is actually there. I hate them during concerts, too, as I am there to listen to the music.

I read a substack by someone who pointed out (K-Culture with Jae-Ha Kim) that Korean media is just pummeling Yoongi - very distressing. And someone suggesting that I-ARMY, that is all of us, write or DM Visit Korea and Visit Seoul letting them know that continued harassment of him will alter how the rest of the globe view Korea and impact our travel plans, etc.. I guess the city of Daegu is considering removing, covering up any Yoongi murals. And remember how the popular Korean actor was accused of drug use without evidence, humiliated and harassed, and ended up killing himself. Like some elements are nott going to be satisfied until they destroy him, destroy BTS. Scary. On a lighter note: 4th anniversary of the release of Dynamite - And some other nice stuff -

A little more on all that Jin has done in two months. (also - less than 2 months before Hobi is home....)

I've got to find a place that sells this stuff - https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-u1KBdRWCg/

And they aren't the only news outlet correcting their inaccurate reporting and disparaging remarks about Yoongi. A little too little, a little too late. I suspect that Hybe, who undoubtedly know the truth of the incident, threatened to sue all of them. Slander is not taken lightly in Korea, and this has been a campaign of slander. I really don't understand all the haters. I'm ARMY but I don't post negative anything about any other artist. BTS has been hated on for a decade, like they can't do anything right but because they actually do, and are successful against all odds, are a huge target. I get that there are "antis" but you'd think the K-media would be proud of how BTS has opened up the world to Korea and Korean culture, and done so in such a positive and admirable way.

That's what the puppy grooming pic is from -- he must have shot this at the same time he did the variety show there. He won't be "live" but will watch anyway!

Kateye trained for so much longer than 100 days. And had Sondeuk. These 100 day wonders will disappear as quickly. I have a bunch of Jin posts - he has been busy. Be ready for Jin with puppies.

Appreciate suggestions - I had thought of The Astronaut as well but that was as far as I got. I am going to listen to so many! And about time for that 'less" than an apology to Yoongi. Hopefully, the furor will pass now.

Question: what BTS or solo song that is either in English or mostly English is slow enough and appropriate for up to two minutes of mother of the groom/groom dance at the wedding reception? I suppose it doesn't have to be in English if the pace is good. Doesn't have to be slow-slow.... I need to come up with a song and, of course, BTS.

I think the K-press is desperate for BTS content now that so many reports about Yoongi are being refuted (and I suspect that there will be some libel and defamation suits in the future from Hybe) - Korean Dispatch is absolutely OCD in covering airport arrivals and TXT would have been covered if they were home. I have no doubt that Jin would have done this but I'm with the ? on it. Cute video of very young, ridiculously flexible Hobi -

If Jin had run down Hallasan from top to bottom, he would have regretted it thoroughly that evening or the next morning. There is something worse with going downhill than up. Quads are pummeled. He'd have barely been able to walk. But i love his enthusiasm, just the same.
-
Poor Yoongi - he deserves multiple apologies, but even if he doesn't get them, maybe this is the start of the media cooldown - A couple of JK documentary announcement and one about Jin's new show - I wonder what the calculus us behind choosing to put something out in cinemas versus selling it on Weverse. Cinemas cost to rent and get a share of the profits, but it does make a bigger splash - but it's also a limited audience. There are only so many cinemas that will have it and dozens of countries that won't have it at all. I suspect it will eventually end up on Weverse -
-
I think knowing what JK is wearing under his clothes is more exciting that seeing what shoes Jin has on. Enjoying his new show.
-
What a sweetie. It's not like anyone can see the brand name on the t-shirt you're wearing under another shirt. I bet Gucci makes a comfy t-shirt. JK seems to wear his Calvin Kleins, but who know what they get to wear in the military.

I don't know who we can believe about any of the details of the Yoongi 'incident". Did Hybe get out ahead of it and release misinformation? Why would they do that if they knew there would be all sorts of conjecture. I think the only things we can feel sure of is that, for whatever reason, there happened to be an officer nearby when Yoongi was returning home and either his 'scooter" fell or he fell while parking it, or after parking it; gave him a breathalyzer test and he was over the limit; and either took him to a station and booked him/fined him and took his license away. If IF his blood alcohol was as high as some unsubstantiated reports, a lot more would have happened. If there were planning on criminal charges, which seems unlikely, there would be a hearing and then he'd have his license revoked. I believe that Yoongi saying his license was taken so that must be the process there. He wouldn't be flowery or full of details, but he doesn't seem to have been arrested or detained. If that had been the case, it would have gotten into the press within hours and not days. And I don't know if there has been any press release from Hybe at all. This was an unfortunate, personal thing. The military manpower administration would not have released a statement saying that Yoongi had not done anything that would cause them to be involved at all. Even a soldier off-duty, if arrested or detained, would be in trouble with the MMA. Just hoping the focus is taken off him and back on actual scandals or legal problems (like SK, in general, MHJ, SM and Kakao). And if tthere is more to it, info will be released by Yoongi, with apologies.

I'm seeing so many negative tweets about Yoongi and SK and flat out lies - I'm staying off social media for a bit until it blows over. How does anyone or any K-media company actually have details of the arrest? And how many other Seoul residents got DUIs the same day? It's so overblown. So, some Olympic news - especially because "is break dancing an actual sport?" And Wootteo is still in Paris- ( and 68 days until Hobi comes home -)

Watched the Disney show(s) -- there were no previews so no way to know if the next ones will be Sapporo or Jeju. I didn't see the "they really spent little time with each other" during the hiatus. Obviously they were all very busy working on their solo stuff. Jimin spent nearly a year practically living with PDogg. But this does seem to be the first time we've heard JK's vision of how he wants his story told. Feels he doesn't have his own to tell, which is insane, but I get it. He just wants to show all that he can do. I love that they are still so close. They needed the time apart and the opportunity to explore their own "flavors' but I think they are going to be very comfortable and relieved and happy to all be together again. Wow, can those guys stuff a stunning amount of food into their mouths in a single bite. I've always found that impressive. PDogg said in the Weverse mag article, when asked what, or maybe it was why, BTS is so much more as 7 than the individuals and he said that, as a group, they each bring the best of the unique individual talents. I agree. All so amazing as solo artists, but the whole is more than the seven parts. and @Old Cat Lady, my attorney also said I should have been dead (which is why she thought the police should have brought me directly to a hospital) and that to still be walking and talking and carrying on a conversation with that high a blood alcohol level would only be from a real alcoholic. She was right. Amazingly - I went home and drank almost another liter of vodka before having an epiphany : one more sip and I'll be dead. And I have never had a drink since. A lifetimes worth in a short time. I feel very lucky.

Hopefully, the Yoongi "scandal'' will be gone soon. I still feel badly for the girls of NJ. MHJ ruined their chances at a good, long career. Haven't watched Disney yet but started it - but here's a preview -

I'm not sure "set-up" is accurate but he was definitely targeted. Seoulite makes me nuts and I, too, won't listen to that guy. The military won't be involved at all. And if it was a more serious infraction, he wouldn't have been able to just pay a fine, hand in his license and go home. They must have a system that deals with "incidents" based on alcohol level and circumstances. Clearly, parking while intoxicated is not a biggie. Back to my DUI - I wasn't even driving. I was sittting on the hood of the car - but my keys were in the ignition. That was sufficient. https://www.koreaboo.com/news/bts-suga-military-consequences-dui-controversy/

Mine was called, at the time, just 3.5 but that is .35. I should look for the CCTV. Maybe he was in the far right lane. I am just hoping Jin went to see him right away. Waiting for the Disney show. It's the 8th in Korea so I should be able to get it, right? Nope. They mean the 8th wherever you are.
-
It would have to be 0.08. When I got my DUI (and subsequently stopped drinking) my blood alcohol level was 0.35 - my attorney said they should have brought me directly to the hospital and that most people would have been in a coma, or dead. In Arizona, you can be charged with riding a horse drunk. His scooter was the kind you don't even drive on the main road (I saw bits of CCTV video I can't find now). He was cruising right along, not swerving or anything, on the sidewalk, I think. This is only a big deal because he is BTS. I think the cop targeted him. He must feel awful. I hope the other members have been in touch with him.

I think he was choosing between two new pairs - and, boy, do I agree with you! I had saved a brand new pair of sneakers (the exact size and model of the two I wore all the time) for my trip last spring to Korea and hiked up Mt Achasan, that's not even considered a mountain, but a hill. It's the one Namjoon and Tae had to get up pre-dawn to climb for losing a Run BTS challenge (ep 44). I took the very longest, most difficult route because I was following a couple and thought they knew what they were doing. The sneakers ere NOT identical to the to pairs I had before and killed a big toenail. I was in SO much pain. Toe turned purple and I couldn't walk at all. Lesson learned. I wound up going to a nearby Sketchers store and getting a pair of men's sneakers (because they didn't have womens sizes greater than size 8.) I so, so hope Jin had better luck. I think he must have since he was able to walk like a regular person through departures at Jeju airport. Six stays on Jeju and I've done a lot of hiking but not Hallasan. It is an entire day mission and I doubt I'd enjoy any part of it, short of standing at the top. Can't wait to see this.... (And JK/Jimin in a day and a half!!!!!!)

Well, it's something. Not that MTV matters anymore -
