I don't know why she presumes that by liking her post that means Yoongi is doing okay. We all hope so, of course. His account is private so no idea what he's posted. I'm also guessing next weeks Run Jin was shot early on based on his hair length. It does look fun -

MHJ still must have criminal charges pending, too. NewJeans will still be under a contract with Ador, and therefore Hybe, so don't have many options. Hybe will be more suspicious and diligent about hiring anyone who has been with one of the other agencies - they have her out now, but it's probably been a pretty expensive learning lesson. New Run Jin episode (that I haven't watched yet)- and just a fun post -

Jin''s interview with Bazaar - edit: a really bad translation, I think.
-
That would be good news. The twitter acct where the translation was no longer exists. I didn't know they held a press conference, which is what happens when one doesn't click a news article because we are boycotting that sort of thing. I loved one of the comments - why did it take them so long to acknowledge the license plate requirements? Someone wanted to know how Yoongi would know if he needed one if the police didn't even know and had to wait for the government to tell them. I tried to check on the press conference but didn't want to click anything! However, I did get this quote - "A police investigation has been conducted, and the case will be finalized soon." I wonder if he had to have an attorney present, or if he had one meet him there. I would think so.
-
I think this tweet is spot on about this second apology letter, which would be a good thing if it means he's complied with his "punishment". I still don't think the police will keep going after him. The media might for a while, butt I am hoping they let it go. Jin is supposed to have his album come out next month. He'll need our support and has been getting nothing but good press, as far as I can tell. So hoping the media will lay off Yoongi soon. (also a tweet with cheering news...)

It's the K-media causing "disruption"! I don't really feel any better with this new translation and comments. Did he not mention ARMY because he's trying to shield ARMY from anti's comments? It's not as if ARMY isn't super well known. No mention of ARMY makes this all sound more full of despair. WTF are the police actually "investigating"? He drank, he got drunk, he fell while taking the last turn into his parking garage (I am presuming it's a garage below apartments/condos). That first tweet implies we can make it worse simply by questioning what the police and local government are doing (like diverting attention from other scandals). I don't think that's possible unless we are picketing, in person, in front of the police station or government buildings - and if anyone was doing that, we can be sure that the K-media would have covered it. Is there no responsible Korean media outlet asking why they are harassing Yoongi, or what sort of "investigation" is warranted? I still believe that anti's, other agencies and MHJ are keeping a fire lit. But hope it settles down and goes away altogether. I'll keep on streaming and writing messages of support on Weverse but I wouldn't be posting negative comments about any Korean governmental agency anyway.

And, yet, they go after Yoongi. Makes me so sad. I am so sad for him. This must feel like everything he's done and all he's had to endure mean nothing. PTSD slapping him in the face. I really like what @Faithyu sent in her message to him. I am going to do another note to him and a "fan letter" saying, pretty much, the same thing. But will wait until there's a chance of him being awake to read them, though I have never had much faith that any messages actually get through to the members. The members know Yoongi well and are likely in as much contact with him as they can be, considering most are still military. I feel powerless and wish I knew how to get the message to the Korean powers that be, that targeting and allowing this targeting of Yoongi is seen, internationally, as "selective prosecution" and will, is, damaging the country, their image and, ultimately, their bottom line. Breaking my heart.

Excellent idea. I was going to follow your example but can't find that instagram acct..

Still hoping for a statement from Hybe, but still thinking they will feel that it is unnecessary and will reinforce the media bias.... a couple of Jin related posts and a bit of an interview with Jimin from last year. OT7. Also, I finally finished the latest Are You Sure. The restaurant they go to for the chicken mukbang (?) for breakfast - though it doesn't seem like breakfast food to me - is on a street that I drive down daily when I'm in Jeju, so I know approximately where is must be. They are, again, right next to Sanbangsan, and that is even more obvious as they drive away. I am finding it a little weird that they had dinner and 'breakfast" where they did, yet it seems that wherever they are staying is quite a drive, which makes no sense.

Ways to see how many "news" organizations are printing something about Yoongi - evidently just scrolling until you get to his photo and then deleting it - Oddlly, on my computer I get an English translatiopns but oon my phone,, itt comes up in Korean.
-
Hey, I am US ARMY. i'll get it, too - it''s only $1.29. I can do that for Yoongi. I am anxious for Hybe to release an official statement so we can read what happened at the police station without giving any clicks to those posting. But it is the weekend in Seoul so they might not want to say anything until their Monday. That would also kind of show that this is done and they are over all the press and harassment.

I am so happy to see this - so much better than trucks with banners telling Hybe to get Yoongi out of BTS. i don't know if he goes into his studio there on his days off or if he has one in his residence, but he'll at least hear about it. I hope he sees it (though the entrance to the parking is on the backside of the building-). Jin will see it and will tell him, I'm sure.

I feel like I should not even look on YouTube for the Yoongi news. In fact, I won't. I am curious how he appears and if he says anything but don't want to give clicks to the coverage. And still totally perplexed as to why he'd need o show up for an "interview" anyway. Do all drunk driving incidents require that? The K-media also gives BTS good comments -

Watching Are You Sure and I keep trying to figure out where they are. In episode 4, at 2:24 is a drone shot of Sanbangsan with Hwasun Beach on the other side. I stay on the first seen side with a back view of Sanbangsan from my window. I am still only part way through the episode (excitement with the convention speeches) and will guess otther spots when they go out on a boat and into the water. But the sushi place is not that far away, in Seogwipo. It's called Hachi and looks to be very pricey but I may splurge over Christmas. They have an Instagram page and just posted this - https://www.instagram.com/p/C-9NkXpPbCT/?igsh=MTBlb2d0NXcwZ2VtMg==

There are earplugs that are "decibel reducing" but don't impact enjoyment of the music. They are standard for high-decibel concerts. I have to say that screams of the girls behind us at the SoFi PtD concert were still stunningly painful, but probably would have been worse without the earplugs (recommended by my son and he wears them for all the stadium-type concerts he goes to -) Love the K-press getting punked. Why would BigHit want to tell them if and when Yoongi is showing up anywhere? Jin went back to his old unit - no mention of Jimin and JK, but I suspect that he was there to visit them primarily. Maybe a question to ask when he gets around to doing another Live....

MHJ has very deep pockets and every motivation to have others slander BTS members at her behest. I despise her. But, seriously, the military manpower administration has not taken action against Yoongi and its statements can be seen as almost supportive. I don't understand the Korean justice system so don't know how the ordinarily deal with DUIs but feel that they are treating him differently and more harshly than an average person. They must feel they have to be really thorough - but I still believe it will end with him having lost his license and paying a fine. Fingers crossed. We can also DM on Instagram and Twitter saying positive things about Jin but also requesting that, if they would like foreign visitors to keep traveling there, perhaps they can request decent and fair treatment of Yoongi....

I'm not sure why, but this made me feel good - The haters going after Yoongi (and I don't think tthese are media people putting up trucks) should be called out - and maybe Hybe can sue them, too. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2024/08/yongsan-district-bureau-office-leaks-private-information-about-the-organizers-of-sugas-protest-trucks-to-opposing-complainers

I loved the Run Jin episode - he seems no different than how he's always been in competitions with the members on RunBTS episodes. Like a kid. And the boys at the school were all so respectful and not weird about having him there. And I'm not surprised that he went to a private school. The Lost Island show is kind of boring. I haven't watched the whole thing yet - I had to stop when they caught an octopus. It made me sad. And I wonder if the K-media would be doing this kind of hit job/smear campaign if it was, say, Jin. Or Jimin. It must seem easier to go after Yoongi because he's always been kind of a rebel.
-
May Hybe sue them all for slander. - Yes to Jin - And I HATE screamers! I can't believe that girls would scream in a movie theatre - it's not like the group is actually there. I hate them during concerts, too, as I am there to listen to the music.

I read a substack by someone who pointed out (K-Culture with Jae-Ha Kim) that Korean media is just pummeling Yoongi - very distressing. And someone suggesting that I-ARMY, that is all of us, write or DM Visit Korea and Visit Seoul letting them know that continued harassment of him will alter how the rest of the globe view Korea and impact our travel plans, etc.. I guess the city of Daegu is considering removing, covering up any Yoongi murals. And remember how the popular Korean actor was accused of drug use without evidence, humiliated and harassed, and ended up killing himself. Like some elements are nott going to be satisfied until they destroy him, destroy BTS. Scary. On a lighter note: 4th anniversary of the release of Dynamite - And some other nice stuff -

A little more on all that Jin has done in two months. (also - less than 2 months before Hobi is home....)

I've got to find a place that sells this stuff - https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-u1KBdRWCg/

And they aren't the only news outlet correcting their inaccurate reporting and disparaging remarks about Yoongi. A little too little, a little too late. I suspect that Hybe, who undoubtedly know the truth of the incident, threatened to sue all of them. Slander is not taken lightly in Korea, and this has been a campaign of slander. I really don't understand all the haters. I'm ARMY but I don't post negative anything about any other artist. BTS has been hated on for a decade, like they can't do anything right but because they actually do, and are successful against all odds, are a huge target. I get that there are "antis" but you'd think the K-media would be proud of how BTS has opened up the world to Korea and Korean culture, and done so in such a positive and admirable way.

That's what the puppy grooming pic is from -- he must have shot this at the same time he did the variety show there. He won't be "live" but will watch anyway!
