I'm seeing so many negative tweets about Yoongi and SK and flat out lies - I'm staying off social media for a bit until it blows over. How does anyone or any K-media company actually have details of the arrest? And how many other Seoul residents got DUIs the same day? It's so overblown. So, some Olympic news - especially because "is break dancing an actual sport?" And Wootteo is still in Paris- ( and 68 days until Hobi comes home -)

Watched the Disney show(s) -- there were no previews so no way to know if the next ones will be Sapporo or Jeju. I didn't see the "they really spent little time with each other" during the hiatus. Obviously they were all very busy working on their solo stuff. Jimin spent nearly a year practically living with PDogg. But this does seem to be the first time we've heard JK's vision of how he wants his story told. Feels he doesn't have his own to tell, which is insane, but I get it. He just wants to show all that he can do. I love that they are still so close. They needed the time apart and the opportunity to explore their own "flavors' but I think they are going to be very comfortable and relieved and happy to all be together again. Wow, can those guys stuff a stunning amount of food into their mouths in a single bite. I've always found that impressive. PDogg said in the Weverse mag article, when asked what, or maybe it was why, BTS is so much more as 7 than the individuals and he said that, as a group, they each bring the best of the unique individual talents. I agree. All so amazing as solo artists, but the whole is more than the seven parts. and @Old Cat Lady, my attorney also said I should have been dead (which is why she thought the police should have brought me directly to a hospital) and that to still be walking and talking and carrying on a conversation with that high a blood alcohol level would only be from a real alcoholic. She was right. Amazingly - I went home and drank almost another liter of vodka before having an epiphany : one more sip and I'll be dead. And I have never had a drink since. A lifetimes worth in a short time. I feel very lucky.

Hopefully, the Yoongi "scandal'' will be gone soon. I still feel badly for the girls of NJ. MHJ ruined their chances at a good, long career. Haven't watched Disney yet but started it - but here's a preview -

I'm not sure "set-up" is accurate but he was definitely targeted. Seoulite makes me nuts and I, too, won't listen to that guy. The military won't be involved at all. And if it was a more serious infraction, he wouldn't have been able to just pay a fine, hand in his license and go home. They must have a system that deals with "incidents" based on alcohol level and circumstances. Clearly, parking while intoxicated is not a biggie. Back to my DUI - I wasn't even driving. I was sittting on the hood of the car - but my keys were in the ignition. That was sufficient. https://www.koreaboo.com/news/bts-suga-military-consequences-dui-controversy/

Mine was called, at the time, just 3.5 but that is .35. I should look for the CCTV. Maybe he was in the far right lane. I am just hoping Jin went to see him right away. Waiting for the Disney show. It's the 8th in Korea so I should be able to get it, right? Nope. They mean the 8th wherever you are.

It would have to be 0.08. When I got my DUI (and subsequently stopped drinking) my blood alcohol level was 0.35 - my attorney said they should have brought me directly to the hospital and that most people would have been in a coma, or dead. In Arizona, you can be charged with riding a horse drunk. His scooter was the kind you don't even drive on the main road (I saw bits of CCTV video I can't find now). He was cruising right along, not swerving or anything, on the sidewalk, I think. This is only a big deal because he is BTS. I think the cop targeted him. He must feel awful. I hope the other members have been in touch with him.

I think he was choosing between two new pairs - and, boy, do I agree with you! I had saved a brand new pair of sneakers (the exact size and model of the two I wore all the time) for my trip last spring to Korea and hiked up Mt Achasan, that's not even considered a mountain, but a hill. It's the one Namjoon and Tae had to get up pre-dawn to climb for losing a Run BTS challenge (ep 44). I took the very longest, most difficult route because I was following a couple and thought they knew what they were doing. The sneakers ere NOT identical to the to pairs I had before and killed a big toenail. I was in SO much pain. Toe turned purple and I couldn't walk at all. Lesson learned. I wound up going to a nearby Sketchers store and getting a pair of men's sneakers (because they didn't have womens sizes greater than size 8.) I so, so hope Jin had better luck. I think he must have since he was able to walk like a regular person through departures at Jeju airport. Six stays on Jeju and I've done a lot of hiking but not Hallasan. It is an entire day mission and I doubt I'd enjoy any part of it, short of standing at the top. Can't wait to see this.... (And JK/Jimin in a day and a half!!!!!!)

Well, it's something. Not that MTV matters anymore -

Who are these people who are no negative? And why? Blinks? As if BP is even active these days. Pic of Hobi from someone's discharge today - the one on the left is from Yoongi's concert last year. Can hardly wait for him to be out and his hair can grow in...

He doesn't seem to be super adept at the sax yet - I wonder if he chose doing a band thing just to be close to music.

No idea when these were taken --

Be Mine changed by less than 1M streams (Spotify) in the full day since the English Version came out. I don't for a minute believe that this is accurate. It really annoys me.... I am taking bets on whether or not Weverse crashes when Run BTS debuts next week.

It seems like Jin is combining Eat Jin and Run Jin. He does love to eat - they all love to eat. (wonder how many episodes there will be-) I also watched the behind of the recordings for Who. Jimin is as much a perfectionist as an of the members. Love that he, like all of them, says at least a couple of times, how much he'd like the other members to be there. PDogg seems to have been attached at the hip to Jimin for a year and a half. He takes such good care of him. Amazing to me that it seems that the MV for Who was shot inn one night. One cold night. I wonder if they flew the dancers in a day or so ahead of time, but Jimin flew in, went and recorded and that was that. This is his best hair, I think, though I very much like his straight black hair of the Face era.

So, I wonder what he does if he's not training recruits? About 2 1/2 months - that's quite a long time to not have his usual job.
-
I bet JK and Jimin were so excited to see her ARMY tattoo - but still, even though they pretty much admitted who they were, stuck to standard BTS protocol - no pictures. I'd have been as flustered as she was and unable to heat the pizza. And, of course, another song to get - and I will. English version of Be Mine. I am so excited for next week, with Run Jin and Are you Sure? I bet Jin will do a live after the first showing of his new show - be ready!!!

This and the Jimin/JK in August. And there's supposed to some Korean show where he's on a survivor-type show on a deserted island, or maybe that''s for his show. And JK answering "maybe" made me laugh so hard. That has to have been when they are in the states. Not only is it impossible to not know they are BTS, there's a camera crew with them.

An entire day with no post or update! We can't have that

Google translate really misses not only the gist of the quote but also any nuance. I think part of that is the lack of understanding of the Korean standard of beauty and masculinity. Guess I won't use google for my letters to the members....

And another one lost because of MHJ - the CEO is leaving - or stepping down which may be the same thing. https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Media-Entertainment/BTS-agency-Hybe-CEO-resigns-amid-feud-with-subsidiary https://deadline.com/2024/07/hybe-ceo-resigns-lee-jae-sang-bts-1236019847/

I think she is screwed all over the place. I know that business law is different in Korea, but only because the offenses have different names - but theft is theft. And they were using communications received by their employees, not info from the laptop they can't get back. I am surprised, really, they they can't access anything via the cloud. She'll have "wiped" her computer anyway, but you can't actually have it all disappear. The cloud is forever. I just hope she is charged and tried and gone before OT7 are back. I saw a "thread" pointing out ha the choreo of all the solo work have 6 back up dancers. So 7 dancing. I am never going to get standby - damn United, so I have to get a UA discount ticket. Really unhappy about it -----

There are a least a dozen Muse focused Spotify playlists. And yes, I do auto translate for all Korean stuff on Chrome. Have their been enough exhibitions? Evidently not. One for JK coming. https://www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/Music/2024/07/23/Jungkook-exhibit/6391721751171/

Yup - she is an equal opportunity slanderer. I think she's a narcissistic sociopath. Jin is so thoughtful. And Jimin such a star.
