They genuinely really care so much about each other. (Wow -- Jin looks amazing!) I am picturing them all tonight catching up with each other and being happy totgetther,

We do have brilliant taste. None better. Okay - officially from Korea Dispatch and a separate TV station that (some will start broadcasting at 7 am) Hobi will be discharged at 9 am KST. No way of knowing if that means he'll be walking out of the gates or if vehicles will be going in. This is a different base than Jin's so the set up is likely different, but I suspect that he'll be the first one appearing. There must be some agreement with the media..... and it would be so incredibly rude to have all of the guys who are being discharged today have to exit at the same time as Hobi.
-
@Faithyu I think that anyone trying to follow any of our posts would be confused. We are simply not normal.
-
If K-Media was really on the ball here,, they'd have cameras outside Jimin/JK's base and Namjoon and Tae's locations. Or - this is possible, if they can go to Hobi's discharge, they may all will start at Hybe headquarters and head out in several of those big vehicles
-
Of course. The media is at Incheon hours before any members show up. Like four hours to catch 90 seconds. As it is presently 4:17 am in Seoul, I think we can relax for at least a couple of hours. If, for some reason, Hobi is given some sort of special release time to avoid the crowds (too late, Hobi), I wouldn't think any release would be before sunrise. I'd say that 8 am there would be the earliest possible time - and he's going to want to say goodbye to all his buddies there, as Jin did, so, for me 9:30 or 10 am would be the earliest. The soldiers on the base, as Jin pointed out in his Live celebrating Jimin's birthday, will have roll call and probably eat. My stomach is all butterflies. Now 4:23 am. Probably still asleep over there -

This is going to require almost continual reworking of playlists. I'm not sure what level of crossover fandoms there are but would also agree that TXT and Jin share - but Jin, I hope, will get the full "ARMY" response to his album release. There may be fewer Jin stans than some of the TXT members, but I really hope he takes #1, at least for a few weeks. Jimin and Who will still feature prominently on anyones playlists. According to @Whoopiewoop, Hobi should be getting out att roughly the same time that Jin did, so probably at 9 or 10 Korea time. Setting my alarm so I can watch the live coverage of it... I could be wrong on the timing..

More1 I actually had to post this to twitter just so I could post it here - There's also a celestial wonder happening for Hobi's return. A comet and planet alignment -

Jin is a mystery when it comes to what his musical tastes really are. He just seems to me to be a group guy rather than a solo artist (not that Epiphany isn't one of my favorites.) And they are kind of past "the charts matter" but it does make them happy when something hits #1. Hanni makes me both nauseous and livid at the same time. The ador CEO may be trying to placate her. NJ will still keep trying to tear down ador and Hybe. I don't understand the point of those hearings anyway. I wondered which of Hobi's songs would be the one his stans would be pushing in hopes he could be the 7th to achieve #1 on Itunes (or whatever it is they're shooting for.)

Super Tuna isn't charting anymore? It just came out. Seems weird. I don't understand the raffles that are part of the Happy promotions. Someone explain them to me. One has to buy a "package" to qualify for the video call? Does that mean one full album plus one single? Or two albums? It doesn't seem to mean just a single album, though, and I'm not sure about this, buying just one album (and this is all global shop) does qualify for the signed poster. If you win the video call raffle, why does it seem like you have to be someplace specific to receive the call? You'd have to be somewhere to pick up the signed album, though it doesn't specify where,, or how they'd be checking one's iD. I'm so confused. (But, I can guess I'd "miss" anyway.)
-
Maybe "band" is losing something in translation? And there really isn't too much surprise with Super Tuna numbers (though almost 5M views on YouTube and nearly 7M Spotify streams and being #1 on Itunes all over the place is not what anyone else would call a fail) since it's not really a new song. It's as if he released it as a goof. It's not a serious attempt at a music video. I'll be hoping that there will be at least one great song on his album with watchable non-jokey MV. I suspect any MV will be more a story/little film than one filled with dance moves. I just don't see him feeling confident enough in his dancing to be out on his own with a dance mv. So - this is thought provoking --

I'm happy to see Illit nominated (bye bye nj). I am so glad the members received all the well deserved nominations but it's almost sad that they are pitted against each other. Oddly. I think the "dance" in Who is better than SNTY, but, yes, it's going to be the solo stans skewing the votes on all of these. It would be ideal for all to get an award, but based on sales and streams and popularity, Lost -- which should win over and over - probably won't. Five of them as Fan Choice Male? Is this rank choice?

ARMY created a new Hobi garden--

Butt he is the only one of the 7 to not have a #1song. I know there are fans hoping to remedy that but it would be helpful if people settled on one song to push.

Jin on Super Tuna --

I'm showing over 3.3M views but it does seem low. It's so short, it could easily be put into playlists - And Jin doesn't care about streams but YouTube does pay (it is said) $0.002 per stream and that does add up.... Weird that I went and bought the new version and on my own owned playlist,, it's the original cover than shows up and if clicked, two versions show up. Apple playlists pretty much think they are the same. Jin spoke as his friends wedding today (yesterday....) Also - Happy Birthday, Jimin! Busan has to have a special task force to deal with fans for his birthday - https://www.allkpop.com/article/2024/10/busan-government-implements-a-special-task-force-for-safety-security-during-jimins-birthday-week-due-to-overwhelming-crowds

Some stuff I've read lately that I do not at all agree with: some people say that Hybe did not promote Tae's solo work because mhj had been involved, and that she had been trying, through him, to encourage BTS to leave Hybe (which is partially believable but prettty much just rumor). I don't recall Tae's MVs and album getting different treatment or promotion than anyone elses. And 2: 'netizens", whoever they are, are angry with Hybe for NOT letting JK do the Super Bowl halftime show with Usher, instead of entering the military when he did. This is just ridiculous. If JK had wanted to delay his enlistment, that would have been his choice. I know that there are some (not ARMY) who think JK should be a solo global pop star and were promoting him as such. Jungkook entered the military with his best friend, while making an unspoken statement that he is BTS first and, while loving the limelight and the attention his solo work garnered, values his members, his work with BTS, and ARMY more than ambition to be a solo. End of rant. This is funny.

It really is a silly MV. And the spoiler! If his album is coming out late November, sales will not clash at all with TXT and puts a bit of a time frame on when Hobi might release something. And it's refreshing that he doesn't care about charting - at least with this song. I haven't seen reliable subs on his live yet - and wonder, really, who has the best ones - but knew it had to be from a hotel (or someplace like that - there's a white message board on the wall...) in LA. He'd said before he'd be home on the 11th. Whatever his schedule is, he'd want to be home for Jimin's actual birthday and for Hobi's discharge. Fingers crossed we get a new pic of OT7 after Hobi is home.....

I don't think I'm ready for this. It suddenly seems unexpected.

Have to remember that it's Grammy members who vote - if it gets nominated, that would be at least some acknowledgment of itts brilliance, and he is one of the composers/writers. And, I suspect, his concept. i don't know who was interviewing Chris Martin but this made me smile -- He really genuinely admires them. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAsmtoFoGHQ/?igsh=czQzMG54aGN4c3k%3D

Just read this on the BBC news webpage about Hanni testifying. Does anyone anywhere believe for an instant that she, on her own, made this decision and never ran it by her parents, mhj or the other NJ members? Of course not. Over the past few months, I've gone from feeling sort of sorry for the girls to not caring much at all to now -- where I actively dislike them. This cannot possibly end well for any of the girls. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp8e49r2yw3o

I am confused, per usual, with what is going on in the Hybe vs mhj litigation, but this is interesting - Maybe she has a powerful shaman. (also - Jin is SO sweet.)
-
This is ridiculous - even if the members of illit ignored her, how is that the fault of Hybe? We can hope that someone on the committee asks some real questions about mhj. I know there is a deep seated resentment in the K-pop word against BTS and Hybe, but Korea also values hard work and success. BTS is the best thing to happen to the Korean economy in a decade. I cannot believe that mhj will have enough influence to alter the MAMAs, but we will see - she really wanted to shake up the industry but, realistically, one group and some backers isn't going to take down BTS. Missed the Live, of course. I saw that the headband was sold out - but have never seen this treatment of the song...
