    Finally we get confirmation. Its not like there would be a GP series this year so I think he's gonna be fine. At least in Japan he still has ice time to keep his shape. This would be the longest time his family be together after years in canada

    I don't get the comparison between Yuzuru's 4A and Evgenia's quad because there's abig difference between them. Yuzuru has been working on 4A for years, has best 3A and excellent jump technique in general and its still a wall for him. Not saying Evgenia's quad never happen but she also has alot more thing to do with her jumps atm (slower rotational speed, UR on 3-3, inconsistent 2A). After all there's multiple skaters who said they train quad but never attempt it outside the harness. I have heard about Jason's quad since 2014, even two quad SP but after years, he hasn't landed any clean quad in competition. I will believe when I see it.

    They probably don't have many option. In the middle of pandemic, off season with no ice show, no big news, no FS magazine, I can see its hard to reach out to official/high tier newspapers unless its local stars like Mao, Yuzuru, Dai, Shoma or Rika. Its better to stay silent.

    Wonder why those US journalist didn't complain right from the beginning ? I'm sure if they did, ISU would happily add whatever award they want, best skater of the year, best yale skater, best skater of US nationals etc...

    The fact he (and P/C) got nominated over Alina and Evgenia say everything. Nathan win would be perfect for this clown award. I even hope he would get costume award as well ~

    I can see certain people would be like "ISU isn't against Yuzuru, they give him the awards", the same old with JSF. I hope fans won't come and reply under ISU's tweets. If you can't help but to discuss, do it while locking your twitter for a few days. By that way, ISU can't see the discussion and can't put it in their stats.

    I dont want Yuzuru to win any award, because its nonsense. But given how desperate ISU is and how they put him in trailer several times, he might. Whatever, I hope fans won't give this any click, view, reply, silence is the best way to react. Remember when they change the gala into this award after selling ticket and scream about sold out ticket = fans like this award. Do not discuss, do not fight about this no matter who's gonna win, do not give them traffic.

    Imo Rika is one of the smartest skater in current field. She actually has good vision and strategy. This season she handled her injury well while improving her consistency and not affect by the quad pressure from media. Its not like she never has rough season, her junior years are not great and as someone who has been watching her since then, I'm impress with how she grew as a competitor. After all, we don't have much info about this, what's the deal she has with TCC ? Maybe she could spend her summer/pre WC in TCC, the same way she trained in US in the past few years. With a fix secondary coaching team, Hamada doesn't have to travel with her and focus more on her new academy, I can totally see this. I just hope fans and media don't put more pressure and expectation on Rika just because she train in TCC and Yuzuru's there, although I don't have high hope. And the possible battle between Rika and Evgenia fans would be annoying.

    Tbh, I wonder what TCC has to offer Rika. Unlike Yuna, Yuzuru and Javi, she doesn't lack of ice time, she has a compete coaching team before TCC and get choreo from all TCC- relate choreoghrapher before. In term of politics, aside from Med and Jason who get good score because of their big fed, TCC has lost alot in this game when they're one of the biggest/most decorated coaching team in the world. Its likely the technical side, aka quad with Ghislain. She's smart about his career in the past 2 season so I hope this turn out fine for her.

    1. Any normal schedule would be different this year, because we're in the middle of pandemic. And no, he's in toronto for the whole 2016 summer, or he's back to TCC right after WC19 ended. 2. While I think its very likely he's in Japan, I'm not brave enough to be 100% sure for anything, because I'm not him and his team. What I think he should or likely do might not be the fact. Sometime our guess is right, sometime its not. I stand by my point, unless he/his team/JSF confirm about his whereabouts, I will take any news/guess/insider info with grain of salt. From the JOC/JSF videos, I see that's he's fine, safe and healthy and that's what matters the most, regardless of where he is.

    Love how everyone all forget about 4A existence when they talk about big jumps. Since Nathan openly want more bonus, the judges might take note and shower him with more generous scoring. As if the high BV and high GOE factor for those jumps aren't enough. How privileged.

    The main reason is 4lz/4f are easier to cheat than 4lo and since 4lz has the highest bv, most skater go for it. 4lz is as popular as 4t/4s in the past few year, but very few of them are actual 4lz. A true 4lz is hard, because of its counter rotation. As for Yuzuru, I think his lutz technique with no prerotation make it harder for him Among top men, I think this change favour Shoma the most, flutzer but do both 4lo and 4f. All ladies with flutz also benefit alot in SP (Evgenia, Kaori)

    Its just 0,5 points so not really much difference. A 4lo+4lz still worth 22 points.

    Its not like they can call clear UR jump for some skaters. So, skater A do a fully rotate jump but judge don't like it ? a "q" for you. Skater B do an UR jump but he/she work so hard for it ? a "q for you as well.

    I'm reading, q is land on the quater, < is missing more than 1/4 but less than 1/2, << is missing 1/2 or more. So yeah....     Ok, "q" is land on the quater. The jump will receive full base value and judges will reduce GOE (-2). More power to underrotater I guess

    Annual Russian off season drama again I'm surprised. I'm glad she leave Eteri but going to Plushenko is not promising either, on paper. I expected her GOE and PCS would go down, plus more UR calls.

    I doubt Brian keep up with sns drama that fast, he didn't know ice show was cancelled. But if he want to have any clue, I hope he would ask japanese skater (Shingo maybe ?) to have a better picture. Idk, just don't hear from Med and her team only. This is such a series of tone deaf actions.. As long as most of her fans keep screaming all of this is a hate campaign against her, I doubt she would realize what's the core of problem. They're not helping her at all. The more they keep painting everyone as liar, downplaying the legit concern from Japanese fans, the more people would watch her action closely and try to find the evidence.It cost her nothing just to be quite. Such a mess

    I know, I just talk about the video alone. I don't comment about her travel around Japan because for me, there's no official confirmation yet, although I think its very likely. Imo the overreact part is some people take this as an oppotunity to insult her. I agreed with most criticism about her action, and the way her fans defending her is even worse. If Med do that in my country, she would receive more criticism . We even get fine for not wearing mask in public, going out for unnessary reason during lockdown. I'm sorry if my post might offend you.

    My point about the video alone is not that bad. I do think some people overreacted abit, but in the middle of pandemic, an outdoor video could be seen as a tone deaf action. There's a reason why most public figures ask people to stay home, because they have influence and they suppose to be the role model. The video is not that wrong but she should keep it to herself. And even if she fed up by that comment, just ignore or delete it in silent. Replying it rudely make people feel like she doesn't take Japanese people's concern properly. She's lucky that its not china, or else the blacklash would be way bigger. I don't think she's bad person because public figure make mistake on SNS very often. I can see Med and her team look out for what people say about her closely as she often respond quite fast and since its unlikely she would reduce her sns activity anytime soon, its better to search for some professional advice. Simple rule of SNS world, the more you talk, the more mistake you make. No sns, no mistake. As for her popularity, she's not that famous in Japan, its only FS community noticed and talked about this.

    About the flight : Firstly she need to make a request to the Embassy. Normally they would prioritize those who has expired visa, jobless, children, elders first. I don't know how demading of those Japan- Russian flight at the moment, but there's a chance she might have to wait longer had she make the request. Its not the commercial flight that you can take it whenever you want. I think she need to stay off SNS for a while. She could get herself into a controversy if she/her team are not smart about this matter. Tbh, this become a mess partly because of her fans. They keep dragging people that has nothing to do with, insult and attack whoever criticize her then turn it into petty fanwar "you just hate her, everything is from anti". You will never have a proper discussion with that mentality.

    The show organizer has nothing to do with this since the show was postponed and her post doesnt relate to it. The organizer could only give her advice about sns activity during the actual show or practice. This is purely on her team/agency/manager or her federation.
