Aw man I'm not ashamed to admit that Yulia's is probably the only one I'm very familiar with in this list. I've only started following figure skating around Sochi.. I mean I had been aware of the sport but never actually cared enough to follow it. The first time I saw the program I was mesmerized it's so captivating and how could you not fall in love to that?? Simply ART. It's so sad that it seems to be doing downhill slowly for her and the combination of growing/puberty, media frenzy, coach problem, and injuries certainly hit her hard. I think she's a very determined, strong young lady (teenager, even) but one could only withstand so much. If the love of skating is no longer there and she no longer feels comfortable/happy doing it then I could only wish her happiness and that she finds another purpose in her life. If I'm being selfish ofc I'd want to see her skating because it'd be a shame that we could only witness this much of her, and she's not even matured fully yet and there is still that much potential we have yet to see.. but yea I just want her to live her life as she wishes, that no matter which path she'd take, she'd find success and happiness.

Hi guys... it's been a looooonnnggg time. I wish I could visit and comment more regularly but work's been crazy and show no sigh of stopping. This is probably my first free Saturday/weekend after a while. But all's good. Very excited to see SEIMEI again and that it'll see Olympic grand stage is such an exhilarating thing to look forward to!! With all the upgrades he's preparing, I can't wait to see it unfolds!! Also curious about if there will be costume change.. and how the new layout would fit in with the music. Oh and the rippon 3T is a new upgrade as well I bet it'll be a beauty to witness it in the near future. Let's continue to hope n pray that he'll stay healthy and he'll be able to build and maintain his desired state until the Olympic, and get the best result!!

^ omg discussion on Yuzu-themed cafe.. Also super late but we finally got that cat!yuzu pic what a blessing!! I thought in the pic he actually looked kinda embarrassed/shy lol. But I gotta say that when I watched the opening, he was really exuding a healthy amount of sexiness or sass.. it amuses me how much he actually appears to enjoy it. Boy sure does love performing and he really is a star. but.. the torture of not having any visual coverage will only continue for this weekend's show I guess.

Oh and about Yuzu being too emotional.. well I like my guy (lol) emotional. I mean it's a true, genuine emotion of a human being, how can you not like it? Wow this talk about bluetooth toothbrush is hilarious. To imagine how hi-tech it actually is.. (imagine if it has like a sound alarm and all that) it's even more hilarious but good for Yuzu I guess.. to help with his jump and spin. Eeehhh... her comment is just salty not to mention xenophobic but the comment about how she's from different generation and has her mind set on something, close minded/traditional as it is, probably expected. Having said that, doesn't make it ok. Anyway don't mind it too much we have better thing to focus on! Yuzu will rise despite the shades and hates~

OMG you guys... I can't believe I just caught up to almost 30 pages of this.. wondering what the hell happened only to find out it's you guys running commentary about that morning news program... but hey I think I also learnt something new lol. Yea guys let's chill don't get so worked up.. we wouldn't have any energy left for the remaining off season.. which I'm sure still leave us with some more surprises.

I guess you're right.. Gladiator would be an awesome concept if he would... Oh and some mentioned Schindler's List.. I love the piece and great if Yuzu is willing to do it and I believe he can do it justice. Really big piece. Idk if it's on one of his options though. I agree that aside from Hanz Zimmer, John Williams and James Horner's pieces have a lot of great pieces, which I also like a lot.

Oh wow.. tried to visit during weekend only to find the link unavailable I was turned out it was maintenance and boy isn't this beautiful!! It's easier on the eye if I must say.. great job for everyone involved. Oh and very cool smileys!!

Oh no I think I kinda voted wrongly..?? or not.. It's a bit of a blur how I came to the 'scene' guys.. I only remember it's right after the Olympic and that the following season I've started following Yuzu and skating closely. Oh man idk why I couldn't remember how it really all began so sorry. I'd just like to say that the very first competition of him I followed was CoC 2014 :ohno: (I know.. I know...) it was rather traumatic for me but anyway it's the beginning of a journey and I'm glad that I decided to do so. :s_yes

Someone mentioned Hans Zimmer few pages back and I was like yes that was the one I wanted to mention last time (I can't believe I forgot his name) :ohno: it would be an interesting choice.. I see quite a lot of you like Dance Macabre too.. the orchestra I was collaborating with last time played it (and Carmen :smile: ) for their concert and they had this very cool concept with the tuxedo for the concert master and all of them wear this kind of creepy mask it was so good! I think if you wanna go classic Liszt or Tchaikovsky could be an option too.. even Schubert? idk guys like I said, it's embarassing I play music but I'm not really knowledgeable on potential pieces you guys are much better than me. I'd love to branch my knowledge to more amazing pieces out there. Oh and guys.. if he skates to any movie soundtrack, what would you like it to be?

Man this thread moves super fast on off season I can't imagine the day Yuzu makes an appearance how am I gonna catch up.. :rofl2: Some interesting topics.. whose-hand-is-it-on-Yuzu's, matryoshka, and cat!Yuzu!! :space: He definitely seems more like a cat's person to me. I remember watching that Yuzu petting the elderly couple's kitten it's definitely squeal-worthy!! :love: I'm glad I'm used to this new site look already.

Carmen as a piece is fine for me.. but for a skating music. Ehh.. probably not. I just think it's overused. I can't think of a war horse I really like tbh but again I'm not really knowledgeable on warhorses, plus I haven't followed skating for that much longer.

Yea I think if we were to play guessing game.. we should think of the more conventional, 'safe' ones.. though your suggestions were lovely!! So... Hi guys!! Came back for the weekend. Tried posting a few days ago but it didn't get through seems like. The technical talk about flip n lutz was awesome.. though I have no problem differentiating those it's such an insight! Also I'm totally on board with the fact that a lot of people put a crazy standard for Yuzu. It's like he's expected to perform well each and everytime and if he slips even just a little, people start wondering and so quick to put him down. Another thing is the fact that considering what he does, how he does stuff, judges still feel reluctant to reward him as it is. I know it's subjective, yada yada.. but in comparison with most of other guys, he stands out pretty clearly so that kind of thing is unfortunate. It's not easy what he does, he bothers to put so much into an element, yet he's getting the similar point as one who barely puts extra effort. I think for others it can be disappointing, like would feel it's kinda a waste to do extra effort and take risk (if you will) yet the reward doesn't reflect it.. but since it's Yuzu, he doesn't let it get to him, he stays driven and continuously strives for improvement towards perfection. That's a thing to admire and it's really not easy I bet. Anyway.. all the talk for the new programs never fail to entertain!! I'd like something dramatic, with stand out character, so he can emote 110% fully and have no one complain about it :s_yes lots of sparkles (lol).. I don't think I need to worry because I believe he and his team will make a smart choice for his own benefit.

OMG, how can you even put them in one sentence??? Seriously, Requiem one ranks 2nd in my top 4 Yuzu costumes: Etude, Requiem, Swan, R&J2. Combine the assymetrical sleeves, ripped ruffles and deep v-neck in the back and this is my costume perfection fit for the Olympic arena! LOL oops sorry!! I initially just wrote Zig~~ but then remembered the green that is the lettuce.. :smile: well I think it's an aesthetic in its own way. The detailings were great. Ah I also forgot to mention hana ni nare's and notte's.. :thumbup: I'm always up for more sparkles and blings.. so, bring it on Yuzu! :goe:

Oo I like this.. Guys remember Zigeunerweisen's?? :grin: oh and the lettuce!! :rofl: I love H&L one.. I think the colors work so well and the sparkles oh my!! I also love Seimei's because it goes perfectly with the character. The model is pretty unique too. Honorary mention to POTO 1.0.. that white-red-black tuxedo like outfit.. yes it has ruffle-y collar which is rather questionable lol but I love the design!! It's too bad he only wore it once.. (talk about the incident-that-shall-not-be-named) I can dream for similar design to come up again in the future~ :love: I'm ok with the rest of his.. yea even the boobskirt and the feathery one! I think it helps that no matter what he carries them well. Again, he could wear a potato sack and still look good skating around.

the50person's post is so good!! I agree that it's important to have all those patterns.. generally Yuzu's program music choice has all those different identifiable parts. So it's not just stagnant and it's never bland. Of course, sometimes it's not that apparent the separation, so people can't appreciate it fully (coughhopenlegacycough).. I wish I could have something to suggest.. but my music knowledge isn't all that good (I'm kinda ashamed because I play music haha). I'm looking forward to what will be his choice. I trust him and the team to make the best, wisest decision for the Olympic. I know it's important that the music will be able to grab people's interest directly and make them glued to his delivery and emotion. I think I agree that a dramatic long would do him good.
