He has said on record that he was fully satisfied with his skates at Pyeongchang because he did everything he could do at the time and didn't feel like he left anything on the table in terms of effort or execution. but does fully satisfied = perfect skate, in his point of view? Probably not.

I feel as if he's just getting started. Like, he's achieved everything that an athlete would want, twice over, in terms of medals etc, so now it's uncharted territory, he can do anything he wants. And it won't be like anything we've seen before.

Same thing with Nam Nguyen...I thought he was a washed-up old man and found out this week he's only 20...but he won the Junior Worlds at in 2014 at only 16 and has been around ever since, and struggling too, so it feels like he's older...

According to wikipedia he was born in November 1982, and didn't officially retire from competition until March 2017...his world ranking in the 2015-2016 season was 160th...I can't imagine what competitions he was skating in at that point but wow. Guess he was enjoying it because why else keep at it?

Considering what Plushenko is like even now at 35, Yuzu's just a baby...

Guys, he's only 23!! I know skaters have a limited lifespan in the sport, but not that limited! Yes, Yuzu's had injuries etc, but as long as he feels his body can handle it, I feel confident he's not going to quit anytime soon.

Maybe... I'm relying on English subs of his media day interview and all they say is 'before the deadline' but not what deadline. Who knows with Yuzu.

He actually didn't say what his deadline was...just 'before the deadline'...I took that to mean, 'before anyone else steals it away'...but who knows. I'm getting butterflies just thinking about it. Wah! (why we no have 'jittery hanyu' as an emoji, hah? Or maybe, 'jittery satellites'? Nothing in the emoji palette is expressing my jumpiness at the moment...)

Doesn't that just define Hanyu at all times, though....

So inspiration grabbed me and now I'm working on a little something-something for ACI...(work in progress) My thinking is that I won't crack it out unless Nessie makes her appearance, but if she does, then maybe we satellites present can sign it and I'll either drop it in Yuzu's gift box, or mail it to TCC later. I'm also planning to scan this image and convert it into something people can download and print out and use at the other comps this year, to be deployed ICN (In Case of Nessie). My thinking is to email it to those who request it. Your thoughts? So far this is a Planet-only project, not sure if I should make it more public.
