Why does Nathan always pick two early ones? It just means he's got six weeks of cooling his jets before GPF. Hard to stay competition ready that long, really. Edited: Nevermind, I see I got the order of the competitions wrong 😅.
-
Is he likely to be assigned to SCI though? Don't forget he was world bronze medalist this year. Idk know if that makes a difference but it does mean he's assigned after Nathan and Yuma get their choices, right? So it might end up being IdF, no? I mean, that's assuming Nathan does what we all expect from him and picks SkAm. Then it's just a question of where Yuma thinks he'd be better off. I don't think he's done many competitions in North America but he's used to Europe. Also, he might choose based on where he thinks he'd be more likely to win. IdF usually has a weak field and that might be a strategically wise choice for Yuma right now. But if he doesn't go for that, then Yuzu will be left with IdF, I believe. Then it's CoR, CoC and NHK. Both Yuzu and Yuma would benefit from NHK. Nathan gets first pick though. IMO Nathan will go for CoR, but you never know. Assuming Yuma takes NHK, Yuzu gets CoC. If Nathan decides to pick NHK, then all bets are off. Yuzu would probably love to get CoR, but I think Yuma would be more likely to choose it. So, assuming travel restrictions are no longer an issue, the most likely assignments for Yuzu, in my estimation, are IdF and CoC/CoR. If everything remains pandemic borked though, nobody's going nowhere.

Where's Cup of China this year? If it's being held at the Olympic rink for Beijing, then I can't see Yuzu not wanting to go there. Just to get a feel for it.

Well, at the moment there's plans to loosen travel restrictions for fully vaccinated Canadians returning to the country, and that will probably happen at the end of July, but no more news beyond that. It's very much a play it by ear situation...if case counts go down and stay down, maybe things will move.
-
Nope. So much depends on COVID travel restrictions

What a fantastic description of the Planet!

I just want to say that I'm so proud of Yuzu for choosing to lend his support to the Paralympics in this way.
-
And boy, did he ever spill on the video game! He was giving a super detailed strategy rundown. So now we know: if we want to understand Yuzu's inner secrets, we have to be gamers.
-
I know, right? I was so excited to hear that he was checking out their dance moves...a little "Butter" would definitely make LMEY sizzle even more!

No, based on Kepler's Law of Universal Gravitation you are entirely correct. Objects in space are attracted to each other by a force directly proportional to their mass, and since Yuzu is the most massive thing to happen in skating in the last 20 years, obviously we are sucked into orbit.

Don't do it! Trust me, Twitter will sour you on all humanity except for Yuzu.

General Skating Chat

Guys, don't forget that it's not just about audience size at ACI, but also travel restrictions etc. The way things are looking at the moment, only fully vaccinated travelers are going to be allowed unrestricted entry to Canada. If you're anxious to go to ACI, get vaccinated ASAP. I still don't think things will change for ACI and I don't expect tickets for it to be sold. However, SCI is looking like a reasonable prospect. Again, it all hinges on vaccination rates, so get that jab already.- 6,825 replies

Happy to help ☺

Meant to delete this...sorry Like Yuzu, you just need that last 1/8 of a rotation. You know he'd say "Ganbare!" to you if he saw this story.

Good to see that White Wall-kun still has his back.
-
And he absolutely loves it when he gets the reaction he's after, too. You can tell he's having fun with this.

And we all benefit from your translations @Umebachi, thank you so much. beyond that, even better, Yuzu motivates non-Japanese speakers to learn some Japanese so as to understand his words. 🙂 At least, that's what happens for me. It'll probably be years before I'm able to follow a conversation though.

And here I was thinking how awesome that the page was set up to translate everything...I am a tad thick sometimes, yes indeed. 😀

I'm not from Quebec. Being able to understand this much French is the basic level all Canadians are expected to pick up in school, as an officially bilingual country. There isn't any issue with what you're writing. It's just very unusual to see full posts on the main discussion thread in anything other than English, which is why people are commenting. Also, there's a lot of satellites whose first language is neither English nor French...I honestly have no idea how they manage, but my hat's off to them for trying.

Okay, I realize I'm coming back late and my theory has been shown to be incorrect, but for the record, the Italian shows up in Italian and the English, in English.

Latest from Roman.

Sort of. You're the only one whose posts appear in French, so it sticks out. I do read French and I can understand what you're saying most of the time. But it's just odd that only your posts show up French. Like, I never had to hit the translate function for anyone else's stuff til now. And I'm certain that not every post on here is written in English originally
