  1. once he hits that 4A, no other explanation required I hope you share Squeakade when it's done!
  2. ...but he likes cute things. What if he gets enthralled by it? . . Wait . . wait . . Wait! . . what- what if... Nah, he wouldn't... ...would he? What if he got... . . *whispers* inspired?!!! Just picture it...instead of Ballade...Squeakade
  3. We haven't even had those this summer! DOI can't start soon enough!
  4. Oh my God, we need fresh Yuzu crumbs so badly, if this is what we've come to...
  5. Oh, on that level, I agree. I know Aljona said she and Bruno couldn't get sponsorship and financial support for another year of skating for Germany, so on that front, I can more or less understand a decision to change countries. But everything else about this makes no sense and is really wrong.
  6. Oh my goodness. Could you imagine if, the first time Yuzu is greeted by Nekomasamune, Nekomasamune is wearing Seimei costume? Or Tenchi?
  7. @Henni147 I can see I haven't phrased things clearly. My point was, 'Super Slam', 'Grand Slam', 'Golden Slam, etc, while they might be terms that get used to describe the achievement of winning all those competitions, are not 'official' titles or 'official' trophies handed out by the IOC or the ISU - skaters can earn the achievement, but there's nothing directly awarded from any organization called, for example, the 'Super Slam Trophy', or whatever, that can be rescinded or taken away from the skater. It's more of a matter of record-keeping, where the ISU acknowledges it as a matter of note. And Yuzu is already on record for the achievement.
  8. First sentence of the Wikipedia: " is a term sometimes used by figure skating analysts " --> aka not a formal title, which means no one can take it away from Yuzu in any formal sense. It's different from the ISU awarding a medal or keeping records of high scores. In other words, he'll always be a Super Slam winner.
  9. "Super Slam" isn't exactly an official title in any case, right? More like something sports journalists concocted? Or am I wrong about that?
  10. Actually, do you think we could maybe not? Because if what I'm seeing on Twitter is anything to go by, innocent bystanders (like Aljona's family) will get hurt. It goes way beyond just the previous accusations against the male skater involved.
  11. Awful. And disappointing. I had admired her so much but...
  12. Tbh, I suspect that the reason he hasn't bothered is because it's not much of a challenge to him
  13. We NEED Yuzu x Nekomasamune pics. That would be so cute! Plus I think Yuzu would like him.
  14. By now, isn't everyone? They're literally the Yuzuru Hanyu of the music world. Same exact story: big dreams, quest for excellence, humble beginnings, tons of hardship, endless hard work, everybody against them from the start, passionate fanbase, more endless hard work, a devotion to detail that brings their performances up to god tier, a huge drive for improvement, antis all over the place, humble in the face of success, let their actions speak for them, etc etc and they just keep on winning no matter who tries to hold them down. Sound like anyone we know?
  15. I'm Spiky-kun. No such thing as a leftover donut when I'm around.
  16. So I don't know if anyone's been on Twitter today but Kaitlyn Weaver, Paul Poirier, and Jason Brown all gave interviews/released statements for Pride month, and also came out. Paul gave a very thoughtful interview indeed: https://glory.media/paul-poirier-on-pride-progress-and-the-next-generation-of-queer-athletes/ Kaitlyn: https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/winter/figureskating/kaitlyn-weaver-hopes-her-coming-out-story-finally-breaks-figure-skating-s-female-archetype-1.6061918 Jason: Jason's statement is interesting because it speaks to what kind of experience someone can have when surrounded by an accepting family and a supportive environment.
  17. I know exactly the one you're referring to. Yuzu did it again with Jun at, I think it was, Saitama Worlds in 2019? Only that time the two of them were racing each other to be first around the rink at a practice or warm up or something. Jun was fast but Yuzu was faster...
  18. To be honest, Yuzu could give some of the short track guys a run for their money in my opinion
  19. So I was driving home this evening when all of a sudden and rather randomly, Yuzu doing his Stars On Ice opening choreo in the LMEY costume popped into my head. After remembering about 10seconds of his performance, it finally dawned on me that the radio was playing Blinding Lights. The song had triggered the Yuzu memory subconsciously. I wonder if I've unlocked a cool new fanyu superpower..quick, someone play LGC while I'm not looking so I can test theory !
  20. Welcome! As for Yuzu being at the end of the gala in Stockholm ...was he actually at the very end? I've forgotten already...but if the gala was following the usual he normally wouldn't have been last. The traditional order for figure skating galas is to end with the gold medalists in each discipline, one after another. And since Yuzu wasn't the gold medalist this time, he wouldn't have skated last in normal circumstances. So, if he was at the very end, then it was definitely done to keep viewers interested. Incidentally, I have a LOT of sympathy for Jordan of On Ice Perspectives ( aka OIP), having to skate basically non-stop with a camera in his hands for two hours straight and then try to keep up with Yuzu for 3 minutes. I've seen how fast Yuzu is up close and it's no task for a weak mortal, to try and match his speed.
  21. This was posted on Keiji's own Twitter, he's getting a photobook: https://twitter.com/deka_1122/status/1401014136343957515?s=20
  22. Patrick's comments re the ISU are interesting.
  23. ....I now realize the drawback of Yuzu always wearing black pants! These could all be the same program and we'd never know!
