  1. voted! but why do I have a feeling a part of those who voted for Jason is basically just people who want to vote against Yuzu. (I like Jason though)
  2. Does anyone have quotes from Yuma Kagiyama, Shun Sato, and other skaters talk about Yuzu for 19/20 season that you could share here?
  3. lol I survived 4 month of drough from rostelecome to worlds only to get the disaster at saitama so this shouldnt be that bad. also, its already a blessing that he's competing next season haha
  4. Has anyone used Kast? Looks like Rabb.it was acquired by them. i miss our streaming parties. i feel like we need to do something fun this off season
  5. the bracket will get nastier and nastier oh man i bet it will come down to something vs Seimei and Seimei will win this
  6. I can't speak for others here but to me his performances have always been masterpieces so i would always go back and watch them during off season or when i need inspirations. I like watching the thrill of a competition but more than that I see his competition performances as actual performances. So my mindset wasn't always to see him win but to see him perform. the rewatch value is there, so i could keep watching old performances over and over and his ice shows
  7. I think 100 % for 19/20 100% 18/19 and 70% 17/18. world standing total is always around 5000 for the past few seasons so those numbers you calc look kinda low.. nathan won world champions twice for the past two seasons and gpf for the past 3 so i doubt he would get lower than yuzu. yuzu missed out a lot of comps both worlds and gpf for several seasons ans his total score suffered a lot..it was the help of olympic games that he got #1 for 17/18 but nathan won championshop the same season so his total has been really high. i dont believe his ranking will suffer just bc he misses out the championship. if he performs poorly next season then i can see yuzu ranking higher again but idk..my gut feeling is telling me the score for yuzu is already updated and hes still 2nd. but like i already mentioned i do hope i am wrong so ill wait
  8. i hope ur right! but if u could check the scores that are updated right now on the isu site and confirm later thatd be appreciated..i really want a true happy news
  9. No I checked and saw its updated as of 3/6/2020 and Nathan is still first. given his wins for the last 3 seasons, i doubt he would fall to 2nd even without this years championship points. of course i want to be wrong but it seems like worlds could still happen so idk if they will count world standing without
  10. ahhhh call me selfish but i hope this is Yuzu's last season. Idk how many more competitions will get cancelled next season bc we dont know how long this pandemic prolongs. But I know I dont want to invest anymore of my time or emotion on the sport. this season ended with super slam so i thought thats a silver lining that came out of all of this mess. of course i will still follow yuzu if he chooses to compete but if i personally hope to see him doing something else. If he continues i dont want to see any old program again. i personally wanted to see clean 5 quad origin more than seimei tho oh btw yuzu got his 2 silvers again lol almost every season
  11. Nathan winning best costume or best program would invalidate this award show as much as yuzu would validate it by winning MVP and lifetime achievement
  12. oh great, just when i thought it couldn't get any worse phew glad i literally wouldn't miss anything without voting
  13. So sorry to be off topic but I would like to ask if anyone were able to vote for Yuzu for the MVP, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Best Costume awards of the ISU award? I know it's clownery stuffs but to me the only good thing that could come out of this is if they award the awards to Yuzu (rightfully so), we can get more Yuzu screentime. I was unable to vote last time when they announced it and I stopped following the sport for a couple of months. To me I don't see why Yuzu would not win all three awards given the gap between his popularity and the rest of the skaters. The only reason he wouldn't get all three or at least both the MVP and Lifetime Achievement Award is if the ISU manipulates the vote, which isn't surprising considering how they have been doing the same about scoring. And on another question I have, what do you guys think the ISU is looking to get out of this award show? Because if it's truly going to be based upon voting and they won't politick this, Yuzu WILL be getting those awards no doubt. So I see it as them giving the consolidation prize for fanyus/Yuzu to keep us feeding the sport because they already KNEW they will give the gold medal to someone else. But then if they choose to politick it again and give it to Nathan, they are probably hoping to brainwash people by making it seems like Nathan is that popular.
  14. Hey guys! I made a thread here and just want to drop this here
  15. With the way scoring works, a clean yuzu will not beat a clean nathan with the same amount of quads. if you think otherwise, ur very optimistic because when the two execute the same elements, yuzu gets higher goe on lower bv elements like the 3a while nathan gets higher on 4lz. And the PCS gap is closing to none. In fact, eventually Nathan will get higher PCS when the two go clean due to consistency. just like how it went between evgenia and alina from 17/18 season to 18/19 season. its a pattern. So the only way yuzu could win when both go clean is upping his tech bv and consistently doing so. but even so the narrative could change to yuzu becoming just a jumper and his performance is affected
  16. This is sooo wonderful to hear! You guys are the best! Thank youuuu
  17. I feel most watered when he is happy with his performances
  18. Honestly with his looks and reputation he could have built an even bigger star power in asia if he does more endorsements not just in Japan but also in china. Tension among east asian countries aside, his looks are universally appealing in asia and he has a fanbase in china willing to spend money on him. he could have attended tv shows or just do ice shows world tour with just talking sessions and im sure he can still get a sellout. but he chooses to compete even when he already met the finish line and im soooo grateful
  19. This cute english moment and his free skate were all i could remember about Saitama
  20. yup he had a very severe injury i really hope he can recover fully bc he is a very great skater btw he went for 4sal and landed it too, right? wow i think he was only doing 3a and 4t last season! baby steps!
  21. Nothing to be sorry about! It all works out and thank you for your lovely work!
