  1. Plus the announcement said: "Due to the current provincial restrictions and guidelines, there are no planned ticket sales for the 2021 Autumn Classic International."
  2. Iirc, there was another user, Charlene, whose posts also displayed in French. It was in the Tickets/Meetups threads. When I right-clicked to "translate to English", I didn't realize the entire page was being translated including the usernames, so I thought "Song" and "Nasty" were new users, but then I was confused because they had lots of posts under their names, so they can't be new users. I use Chrome and it detects the French on the page and gives me the option to translate it to English. I normally don't do the auto-translation because I like the option of using either Google Translate or DeepL depending on which one gives me a better translation. Fingerprints maybe? I have a friend who skates and she considered getting black blades because they look so cool, but she said every single scratch shows up on black blades and since she was always falling and stuff, she was afraid the blades would get scruffy-looking real quick so she decided to stick with silver blades. I took a year of Japanese when I was in college, and the only thing I remember from that class is, "これは何ですか?" because the sensei kept holding up objects and asking us. 😂 Later when I was watching anime, I picked up this phrase, "大丈夫ですか?" because the characters were always getting hurt, so another character would always be asking if they were ok. 😂 That troll absolutely knows he's got us wrapped around his little finger!
  3. It's also Shoma's signature move, and Yuzu likes to do new things that others have not done, so the cantilever is probably not as interesting to him. I'm sure he can learn to do it if he wants to.
  4. There was some discussion in this thread. It started there because she wasn't confirmed to be Team USA yet.
  5. Only 3 disciplines: Ladies, Men, and Dance. No pairs. 2019 ACI was the same, spread out into 3 days: Day 1: Ladies SP Day 2: Rhythm Dance, Men SP, Ladies FS Day 3: Free Dance, Men FS Most likely will be the same this year. Normally they would be selling ACI tickets right about now...
  6. Welcome back! This looks like the latest info about the 2021-22 season: [NEWS]

  8. Don't try to count the rotations. Instead, pay attention to the speed of the rotations. They rotate faster when they're jumping a quad vs. a triple. That's how I tell them apart. <Edited to separate my posts because one is "news" and the other is not. >
  9. Rika and I think some of the other skaters were already part of the torch relay so it would be really odd if they left Yuzu out, so I'm sure he will have some role. I think it's unlikely that he will light the cauldron though. Someone mentioned previously that it would be cool if the biggest name in Winter Olympics hands the torch off to a famous Summer Olympian to light the cauldron, and I can see that happening.
  10. Imagine the SNS meltdown if Yuzu did that. He needs 6 kids, one for each jump, just like the fan arts.
  11. He's getting married. He said he was going to get married at age 26, so he has about 6 months left to do it! Didn't Kolyada did something like that? Like his wife posted pics of their wedding on insta or something and that's how everyone knew he got married?
  12. I'm so glad he was able to skate LGC to his satisfaction and that he felt was worthy of Prince. When he gets 4A, I hope he will bring back Origin in an EX or show and land that 4A to the sound of the gong. I still want to see it! Since the store theme is anime+ice cream, it is definitely a "Yuri on Ice" reference, but I wouldn't be surprised if the store owner knows about Yuzu too and the reference equally applies to him also. The comment I like under that video is: "Years ago I didn't know about this dude.. I was so mad that this guy keeps coming in my fyp smh. But when he pop out again in my fyp I literally searched this guy in Google then Watch his videos in yt... That was the day that I got super lucky. I met him again.. they were giving me a second chance. " I see so many comments like that from people who get to meet him even briefly: bus/taxi drivers, hotel staff, photographers, young skaters, volunteers at comps, the crew in photo shoots or filming his CMs, etc. They all comment on how nice he is to everyone. It really shows how he's not just an amazing athlete, he's an amazing person as well! They have an article about it on their website: https://www.presidentschoice.ca/summer-insiders-report-articles They have 8 Yuzu flavored products.
  13. Thanks! Here's a schedule someone posted. Google Translate: Tomorrow 5/30 (Sun) Yuzu schedule 0 ~ 2: 30 SOI2021 Hachinohe (re) TBS2 12 ~ 15: 45 SOI2021 Special Edition TBS2 This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  14. There was also this story about a 98-year-old woman whose family took her to see Yuzu at SOI. Of course there was risk, esp. for an elderly person, but it was most likely her last chance to see him, so he does have that kind of impact on people's lives. Once again, I will that everything will go smoothly, and that Yuzu and everyone will stay safe and healthy and leave DOI with happy memories.
  15. What Ginni said about Yuzu: So happy for her that she was able to meet him at WTT! [NEWS]
  16. So now it's time to work on PC Notte Stellata, LOOOL. 99,725 views from 2M.
  17. Kiss & Cry magazine interview with Tracy. She said so many awesome things. She thought TTCT was perfect at JNats. She couldn't stop smiling when she was finally able to see Yuzu practicing again at 2021 WC. She said that he does the most difficult things even though they look easy and everything is high quality and advanced but it's never fully appreciated. She thought LMEY at Worlds was underscored! She said Yuzu tries to give back and leave something for the future of FS while other elite skaters try their best to protect what they can do and don't go out of their comfort zone. ETA: Another translation of part of the interview: Tracy is the best!! [NEWS]
  18. 2018 Origin 1.0 --> 2019 Origin 2.0 Development of pectoral muscles!
  19. Bummer. I hope none of the other videos get taken down. Thanks for the update. I purchased my tickets through Expedia and they refunded the ticket amount back to my credit card. I didn't even have to ask. I bought 2 one-way tickets, and I got the refund for the 1st ticket, but I'm waiting to get the refund for the 2nd ticket. The Air Canada site says they are giving the refunds based on travel date, so I will wait a bit more to see if the refund for the 2nd ticket shows up on my statement. If I don't see it after a while, I'll check with Expedia. I have to go through them instead of Air Canada.
  20. This is an interesting thread about the IOC. Particularly interesting is how closely tied together the IOC is with NBC. That pretty much explains why the Olympic Channel will use Yuzu to get clicks, but is also perfectly happy to publish NBC propaganda that dump on him. I guess this will also make it harder to convince the IOC to push the ISU to implement fair scoring reforms, unless it benefits NBC... and US skaters. I feel bad for the Japanese people who are stuck footing the bill for the Summer Olympics.
  21. Thank goodness they're not THAT powerful. Yuzu just seemed to have a string of unfortunate luck, with Ghislain's stolen passport, bad timing of asthma attack, earthquake right before his departure to WC, his blade getting caught in a hole in the ice he made himself. The universe really needs to be better to him. As for cover-ups, Yuzu himself covers up. Initially, he said that not having Ghislain there didn't impact him. Then in later interviews, he admitted the situation was unusual, with the implication that it did affect him a bit. He also said the asthma attack was after the FP, but it certainly looked like he was already suffering the effects before the FP based on that video clip of him after the 6 minute warmup. And now Brian is saying it was before the FP.
  22. "Impossible Axel with illusion exit and negative GOE steals everyone's show at the World Team Trophy." I love it when he falls and people are like, "Even his falls look nice!" And then when he flubs a landing, everyone is like "OMG! How could he have saved that jump? GOAT!!!"
  23. 7 years later, he looks practically the same!
  24. They were selling 2 of the products at Costco over the holidays so I picked up the Sekkisei Emulsion to try. It's a light moisturizer that feels nice on my skin and does the trick. It has a light fragrance and I wasn't used to that at first because my normal skin care products are fragrance free. It contains alcohol so it feels cool on my skin which is nice for the hot summers here. Unfortunately, they don't sell those Yuzu special edition collections here. That Origin theme box was so pretty! Or maybe that's fortunate for my wallet. Lol. Thanks so much for the info. I never check my email. I was thinking maybe I could use the travel voucher for ACI or SCI, but who knows what will happen then, or if Yuzu will return to Canada, so I'm glad I can just get a refund. Glad it's a 5, which is much better than 6.6. I live in earthquake country too and have experienced some 5's. It's a good shake if you're at the epicenter and will toss stuff off shelves, but usually no big damages other than giving your heart a workout. Since it's off the coast, I hope there is no danger of a tsunami, and I hope Yuzu was in a safe place when it happened. Poor bb, it must be so stressful for him.
