But which is prettier? The cake or the Yuzu?

I've clearly watched/absorbed too many weir ads on ice show streams... this looked way less weird than I suspect it would have even a year ago But we should keep it as another piece of evidence that anyone carping at Yuzu's or Shoma's costumes are just not allowing for cultural differences so there .

I couldn't help laughing at how hugely different they were, no one would guess they were all the same young man.... I also tried a few women, and other people I'm a fan of. Those who turned out not-a-disaster pretty much always looked the same, even (and yes, I succumbed) me...

He's going to make a great coach if that is where his heart leads him... and it was such fun watching the three of them working on it. Yuzu's hydro is a thing of utter beauty, there's a reason why so many Olympic reports showed pictures and clips of it.

Reminds me of what I read about both Gogolev and Nam Nguyen leaving TCC, that it was parents who thought their kid was not getting the attention they needed. Yuzu and Javi were a special case, rivals sharing a coach almost never works out in the end.

While it's a massive gamble for Trusova, it occurs to me that the timing... does echo our own hero in 2012. Half way through that quad, two years before Sochi, he switched coaches and reaction was dismay, doom and gloom. It's now 2020, two years before Beijing. (I hold out hope for 4CC next year, because if Yuzu comes to Australia not only will I do everything I can to get there, but someone will ensure he meets and cuddles koalas - it's pretty mandatory for visitors - and Yuzu+koala is adorability overload the world needs....)
