I'm surprised that version of SEIMEI is picked TBH. PC's SEIMEI is the best he could have skated it as a competitive program, interpretation-wise and performance-wise. Technically SEIMEI of 2015 was better for obvious reasons (he simply had more normally functional feet at the time). As a whole PC's Seimei reflected the best what SLB and Yuzu tried to convey. Choreographically speaking the more he skated to it after PC the better the program becomes (I passed out watching it again at that MOI and most recently at GIFT). To each their own, I suppose.

There was quite a storm when she won All Japan that season as well. Boy, I wish I could forget what happened in certain part of the FS fandom that year but I just couldn't. I can't like them nor the skater they endorse even now. Regardless, I hope Kaori will have a performance that she can be satisfied with.

Kohei and Keiji be like the awkward kids at school while the rest, especially Yuzu and the Dynamite group number team, were really having THE moment In all seriousness and upon reflection, may Yuzu continue to find peace and calmness as he navigates his way to move forward, however hard the future path may be.

Forgot to say this. I've never realized Walley can be such as slay entry until Yuzu adds it to his 4T

Just drop by here to say that I love the little details Yuzu added to Haru yo, koi, and that softness in Notte Stellata? Just wow.

His improvement in dancing is insane. Not one ounce of cringe and secondhanded embarrassment (*affectionate) needed. Nope. Also I love that number for its cuteness and creativeness. Combining Yuzu dancing off-ice with others skating on ice is such a genius move. Hats off to the Chairman of Notte Stellata

[2023] Four Continents Championships

I'm sorry but that's not a 4Lz, a 4Flutz may be. Other than that, he did well. PS: He got a call on his Flip(!), rightfully so, but not on his Flutz, heh.. -

Congrats the medalists (but mistaking a quad for a triple is just nope) -

Can we have no more competitions on altitude because... On that note, never ever use rinks in Colorado Spring for any FS competitions again. -

Shun did so well but Chris touting what magnificent techniques Shun has and then proceeding to talk about his 4Lz doesn't sound quite right... -

Man, Stephen G's total score was lower than Haein's. -

The Japanese girls did well. Congrats Mone for her the medal on her very first major senior international competition. I gotta say tho, again, Rinka was robbed to hell and back How the hell did Bradie get 67 PCS for her Greta voiceover program while Rinka got only 63? A shame on the singled Lutz, but great fight getting the 3A. I'm a bit worried about Hana, that's a lot of calls on her protocol. That said, altitude can be nasty, so I should give her some slack. The Korean girls also did very well. Congrats Haein on the 4CC gold. Chaeyeon is such a star. Really reminds me of Kaori for having such a distinctive style right off the batch. A bit sad for Yelim, but she got on the podium nonetheless, so there's that. Isabeau tho, I hope she gets well soon. It should be fine in no time if she just got some flu, but if something happened to her due to her terrible jumping techniques, her coaches should meet me in the parking lot. -

Plain robbery. That was the best Roxanne Rinka has ever did. Granted the 3A and 3T were iffy, but other than that she KILLED that program. Spins looked better than in previous outing too. StSq was a big slay. I wasn't convinced about the program until now and she couldn't even break 31 in PCS while Isabeau broke 33. Talking about home cookies. -

But, how much does that help (or not), I do not know.

It seems JSF just threw out the assignments first and then explained to the skaters later. Sasuga, JSF

Fuji is where salty a** locate. Just ignore them.

It is not unfair if you think strictly about the criteria. So, sending her to both is not smart IMO because the events are so close to each other they may burn her out. I hope she can do well at both tho. Then again, Mai and Kaori tick all the boxes too, but no 4CC for them, instead Universiade where Rinka is actually the 1st alternate *scratch head* Btw, Mana, the next most eligible entry for 4CC got 1st alternate, Rion 2nd and Rika 3rd. As much as I want Yuna to have it, she doesn't tick any boxes Update: I just saw an interview with Takeuchi. So, JSF still a bunch of weirdo is the best explanation for these selections.
-
So for the first day, only 53% of the available seats filled. The last two days were much better and equal at 84%, but nowhere near a full house. Not to be that person but ...
-
Boy, sending Rinka Watanabe to both Worlds and 4CC is a choice. Shoulda let her do Worlds and let another (Mana Kawabe or Rika Kihira) get 4CC. But, yahoo to Mone Chiba and Hana Yoshida to a major senior comp.
-
I read that too, but I don't know the extent to which they take the best scores and standings and stuff into consideration. If JSF is willing to go far back then perhaps Rika Kihira and Mana Kawabe can qualify too (for 4CC at least)? The juniors really shake things up a lot this year. PS: JSF really shot themselves in the foot, what's with sending potentially most of the World team to meaningless comps like the Universiade. PPS: It's also on them when attendance rate looks sad this year.
-
Well he can't get drunk considering he can't drink LOL
-
I'm not well-versed in JSF's rules but given the general mess that were the ladies events at JNats (and the rise of juniors), who might secure the third spot for Worlds and spots for 4CC? WTT is easier to predict I suppose. They need those who can somewhat draw the crowd as much as possible, so popular favs like Kaori Sakamoto, Mai Mihira and/or Rika Kihira are the logical choices.
-
Ami Nakai's jumping techniques look scary. Someone should help her fix them, else I don't think they can last for as long as they should.
-
Yuna!!! I wanna see her 3Lz3Lo, considering Yuzu once said her Lutz is even better than his.
-
Underwhelming from the performances I have seen, except for Mone. Oh and for those who said it was Nats so Kaori probably wouldn't get any calls, boy, aren't you right?
