  1. Kevin, unfortunately, chose to stay with some of the most controversial coaches out there, like Hamada and Eteri sort of coaches, knowing full well what they did. Given how problematic those people are, I don't know inviting Kevin anywhere is a good idea, no matter how talented he is.
  2. And sneak they did well. I saw at least 4 full videos uploaded.
  3. At least someone (and that second security guard of her) is having a blast PS: Put him in a meme. IDC. Best thing to come out of this Worlds
  4. Man, if only Yuzu wasn't chased out of comps. He would have eaten this comp up. Those qualities of his are so very dearly missed. PS: I need to see his Suiheisen or Kibou no Uta programs skating in full and at rinks of this size. Stats
  5. Oh my, I just saw fancam of the women's FS floating on Youtube. Is taking video allowed in comps in Japan now?
  6. That's the thing. He could've gotten it. He just needs Shoma to be judged correctly on the tech side. PS: Even Belinda called it out.
  7. 4A really is a monster. It takes all the energy out of a skater. There's just no performance there.
  8. Shoma really did get all + 3 + 4 and + 5 for his 4F. This is why we can't have nice things. Also that 1) Jun got a ! on his F but not on his Lz and 2) Jason got none on his Lz
  9. Yah, but I want it to be this year, because you will never know what's going to happen next. Oh well...
  10. Meh. There goes my Jun Hwancha World Golds Medalist dream PS: He would have gotten it had he got just a lil more on both programs
  11. Yah, I stayed away from all those fiascos cos it was too much. He is already 28-years old; he is a millionaire; he is not under any agencies (he pretty much OWNS one); he is a legendary skater with much influence; and most important of all, he has a big, sexy, galaxy brain. The man knows what he is doing. If people don't like shows he will attend like SOI, stay away from watching it. If they want to jump the train to a new fav just because they dislike those shows, feel free to do so. Making a fuzz out of things like this paints the fandom in a bad light, which, TBH, has already happened.
  12. The answer is a resounding yes, in my case. If my fav is eligible but not capable of doing something, be it in comps or ice shows, for whatever reasons, I would hope they would not do it. If my fav is both ineligible and capable realistically? All the more reasons to not go. The same goes for Yuzu. Even if he was eligible way back in 2010, I would not have wanted him to strive for the Olympics. He was just not ready yet. Anyway, everyone is different as you said, regular watchers, fans and skaters alike.
  13. It's Ice Dance. Per Ice Dance fans (which I'm not), scores don't often make sense. It's the vibe (and passport) =))
  14. She wasn't in her best condition coming to Worlds. Having way too many competitions clearly did not do her any favors. For the next season I hope she will 1) pace herself better, 2) build her strength and muscles further, and 3) branch her programs out further. She herself shows that she needs to do the last two so I hope she will get the first one right as well. Re: Rika (Kihira?), given her track record in her juniors I don't think she would have been ready even if she was eligible, so she was actually lucky she was not eligible back then. Just look at Mana, how she has been treated since Beijing, and how that has been holding her down since then. Do you want that sort of nasty stuff to happen to your fav?
  15. So, per a press release I read (https://school-education.ec.europa.eu/ka/system/files/2023-03/figure-skating-championships-2023-livei.pdf) the seat capacity at Saitama for 23 Worlds is 20,000 (Olympic channels reported the same capacity). Per Johnny W**r, the seat capacity is 19,000. And per that anti-Yuzu reporter the capacity is 16,000. Hmmm.... Regardless, attendance rates (per that anti-Yuzu reporter) so far seem to be Wednesday: 6,110 Thursday: 10,428 Friday: 12,976
  16. Mai went into Worlds unwell. Here I am thinking why the hell did she compete in that small local comp just days before this most important comp of the season. But, well, all things considered, she did her best. Most likely she will still have WTT left, but I hope she will take good experiences and memories from this season so she can try her best for the next one. If she does go to Worlds again, I hope, hope, hope there will be no more tiny comps and travelling right before Worlds.
  17. https://hochi.news/articles/20230324-OHT1T51274.html?mode=photo&photoid=1 I adore Rinka's expressions in the photo. Wonderful, wonderful interpretation and expression of the music. PS: Rinka said she took inspiration from Yuzu as she chose a Japanese-themed program, and boy I was so glad to hear so. I adore Tenchi, which JIN reminds me of, it does.
  18. Trend. Axel sequence is treated as a combo now scoring-wise, hence it's popping out everywhere.
  19. Official number is out According to Olympic channel Saitama has some 20,000 seats available for World Figure, so the attendance rates for the first two days were at just 31% & 52.5%, respectively. We'll see if the prediction of that anti-Yuzu of a reporter is correct for the next 3 days.
  20. Does anyone know about the attendance rate at Saitama?
  21. He's trying to change it. Dunno how it's gonna work out for him (or if at all) because he's been having this entry for so long but the efforts is there. We'll see.
  22. You just wait after this season. Ilia got a +2.17 for that scratchy, short thing of a jump. Not gonna lie tho, getting that much height with that distance on that jump is impressive.
  23. Mika Nakashima will be at FAOI. I'm ever thankful to have her back at all, let alone seeing her in an ice show. Yuzu performing to Find the way or Yuki no hana, mayhaps? PS: I do wonder who else are going to be invited to FaOI. Surely it can't just be two? PPS: Can they invite Krage or Aimer please? At least for the first leg?
