I wonder whether by 20% he means 20% not just landed but landed with +GOE
-
We would all be staggering around. It would be a scene of mass destruction.

TCC fam looks so gangsta!
-
He said at the press conference that there were a lot of choreography points he didn't get to show in Origin in this competition. (Probably a strategic decision to maximise stamina to what he needed to skate clean?) So we may still see the return of some or even all of these little details we're missing!
-
something old, but I've never seen it before, and even if its been shared before, its so cool its worth another share!! ALL HAIL THE KING!!!
-
Nah he said this season, it'll be this season. But I do agree it seems like he's going for clean this comp over 4A
-
I'm with @Katt and @KatjaThera on this one. To me it's very clear cut. If that did happen, it sounds like a private conversation. Emphasis on the private. Nothing gives anyone any right to disclose anyone's private conversations publicly, without both parties consent.
-
Guys off topic but I've been swapped with work and life and just.... HOW LONG MORE TILL THE KING SKATES AGAIN (aka when's his next comp)? Help a tired confused satellite out pretty please?
-
I want him to pick one up just so I can see him look at it in confusion and scratching his head
-
I swear, Jack's tombstone is one day going to say "Well Done and Worth Watching"
-
Off topic, but can you imagine the pandemonium if he tries (and even more if he actually lands!!) one in one of the competition practices?? It's going to bring down the internet cause you know for sure there's going to be videos and streams and pictures and live fan accounts recording every single second of it!

Can I choose something that's not a programme/performance? I actually want to take his PC practice sessions because I could watch him do stroking exercises while looking so blissfully happy forever. Plus point TCC family interactions!! But if it HAS to be a programme, I have to go with Requiem to Heaven and Earth. That was breathtakingly beautiful in all the right ways and the emotions just poured into and out of his skating. But just for fun I will take H&L world's 2017 just so I can hear our fav Italian uncles yell about how he's the best ever and the judges should be ashamed of themselves!

Frankly, I suspect it's more to do with the fact that in most countries figure skating isn't a big enough sport for the big brands to use Yuzu as a generic spokesperson, as the guy on the street won't know or recognize him. And even then, at a more local/national level a lot of countries would rather use their own countries sportspeople rather than another countries. Now, why Japanese sportswear brands don't jump at him I have no earthly clue. Maybe they do and he just rejects the offers cause he wants to be able to use what he wants without being tied down with sponsorship requirements.

Aside from what the others have already said, his axel is also not that great yet. Just because he has quantity, doesn't mean he has the quality, and quality is what counts when you're trying for the monster of quads. (And yeah... you really do have a thing for him, seeing as how you bring him up constantly.... 😂😅😅)
-
I'm honest enough to say that I want Yuzu to be the one to land it..... And I'm going to sulk if he isn't. (But also I would congratulate the other person, though likely grudgingly, because even if I am a biased idiot, I want to be a better person dang it)
-
Q: Hanyu's aim being to jump the Quad Axel, how do you feel about his current condition? A: He's training it. nothing else needs to be said ....
-
Lol yeah. Never going to happen. Just accept it. Our hair going is as inevitable as Brian's hair loss. And for the same reason!
-
Remember during PC Nathan was specifically asked whether he thought skating after Yuzuru was the reason he did poorly in the SP and he was like "no. I knew it was coming. I've done it before. That's not the reason". I may not like his skating, but I really respect how he didn't make any excuses for himself or take the easy way out. Dealing with cheers, the toys on the ice, the lingering impact of the skater before you, the expectations of the crowd, it's all part and parcel of competing at that level, and one Yuzu and team prepare for just the same as the prepare for his jumps and spins. I love how TCC focuses on the mental aspects of the sports, not just the physical, and it shows in their athletes.

And I think that feeling is understandable, as long as it's also coupled with a healthy understanding that said person does not owe you anything, is not obligated to agree to anything or even to act a certain way with you. (E.g. I've seen people get mad when celebrities got upset for being disturbed during private time. Like seriously, wouldn't you be mad if someone disturbed you in your private time?). My personal opinion is that if it's at the person's "job" e.g. during competition time for athletes, at open movie premieres for actors, during concerts / fan meets for singers, it's fine to try to interact (within the obvious and should be common sense boundaries of respect and politeness). Any other time is personal private time and they, photos/videos of them, yelling for them to notice etc are all off limits. Then there's the in between times. (E.g. travelling to and from venues). My personal opinion is that cheering from a distance and remaining at a respectful distance is fine, any thing to do with approaching them is not. I would be interested to hear what others think.
-
Idk... on the one hand I think it's fine to ask, and if he says yes it's fine. On the other hand, part of me feels like we shouldn't even approach him in his private time, because it's just that, private time. And on a slightly unrelated note, I've seen a few people here mention "he's an athlete not a celebrity" when talking about Yuzu having to deal with " overenthusiastic " fans, as if if he was a celebrity the situation could be fine or acceptable. And I don't agree with that at all. I don't think it's right, even when it is a celebrity. Even a celebrity is a person with a right to privacy and private time. It's a fact of the job that it has a higher correlation with paparazzi and fans, but just because it happens doesn't make it right, and doesn't mean we just shrug it off and accept it, and God forbid even contribute to it.
-
Omg he looks positively manic!! No wonder other skaters can't bear to meet his eyes Yuzu: Other skaters:
-
. I think the latest and most useful is that fan account from ACI where the fan talked to Ghaislain and he said Yuzu wasn't landing it ALL the time. I.e., he is landing it, his success rate just isn't very high. So. Yeah. Wheeee.

Haha we can be in the minority of "people who prefers Otonal without the deep v neck" together! High five! Ah well. At least we have Origin....

. . . . *whispers * I was right I do like this more. . . . . which is odd to me given my previous fav (before Origin all hail the King) was NS, and I thought his v-neck and low back then were just gorgeous.
