I think my favourites of the moves we've seen so far are: (And please forgive the lack of accurate terminology....) 1) hydroblade into sit spin. It just looked like such a smooth change of levels it makes for such a dynamic beautiful move! 2) backwards spiral. Because WOW 3) that moment where he makes that elegant hop right on time in the st(?) sq 4) that reaching forward with one arm then the other in beautiful full extension right on the beat! I... Actually don't really like the hydroblade into the hanyu jump.... I'm in awe of how much skill and pure physicality it takes, but it just didn't look very pretty to me. something about the angle of his legs looked off to me. But I'm glad that so many others find it beautiful!

Also how does this have only 64 views??? I know one of us made it... maybe add Yuzuru Hanyu into the title so its more easily found? More people should appreciate this wonderful compilation clip!

off topic! Just a thought.... the fact that he's being careful even with a odd feeling, not even pain, in his ankle makes me think that he's not thinking of r-word-ing any time soon. Prioritising his health speaks of a long term plan. He wants to keep himself in peak skating condition for longer, which says there's likely a longer that he has in mind. Its the talk of someone who still looking forward to continuing to compete for the forseeable future. A part of me thinks that someone who plans to r-word after this season wouldn't be so careful, with his personality (as much as I understand it) he seems like he would say lets give everything, push through everything, and make a huge unforgettable impact to crown everything and retire on top! But then again, maybe time frames with injuries are different at the level at which he competes.... It was just a thought I had

I'm not entirely thrilled with how they worded this though, and I wonder how accurate the translation is. It makes it sound like Yuzu was no longer enjoying skating, and he's now trying to enjoy it again. Now, this may be true (only Yuzu really knows), but I would hate for poor wording to give people an inaccurate perception of Yuzu.

I feel like with the time reduction a lot of the bigger (And by bigger I mean longer - like a giant long spiral/ IB/ hydroblades) components won't be showing up....

But if so then why admit he hasn't landed it perfectly yet? If it's all an intimidation tactic to stress his opponents, being more confident about it seems logical? Of course, the other alternative is that Yuzu is, for once, being completely open, no hidden agendas. He's truly skating for himself, and sees no reason to play mind games and is just telling it how it is. Or he's five steps deeper into his diabolical master plan, Mr "Its all within my calculations"
