*grumbles* I wish I had my employers over a barrel like the ISU has us and skaters. If I missed deadlines like this... They haven't even announced where the mystery GP is going to be. How are they going to assign skaters a mystery GP without telling them where it's going to be?

I have a document to finish in two hours, too. But we'd be living too dangerously if we did a shot every time the ISU site didn't load. I wonder what the skaters are doing, waiting. If they haven't actually been told, there must be loads of people sitting around and cursing the ISU a lot more creatively than I am in my head.

They should've gone for the cheap stuff. Quality is so often wasted on them anyway.

At this point, I suggest a drinking game. To be perfectly fair, that's what I usually suggest, I sacrificed my liver to the skating gods in the run up to the Olympics.

Maybe they shouldn't have spent so much on coffee. All those coffee breaks. I bet there were biscuits, too. I've eaten so many biscuits today. ETA: That's my second double post today on this thread, I'm sorry.

They'd have a press release to send out too, wouldn't they? They wouldn't just upload it onto their site.

It would be completely believable if they said they didn't realise that was how emails worked after sending it to their skaters tbh.

I wonder how that works practically. I mean ISU is basically all the feds, and the feds will want to let their top skaters know as soon as possible, won't they? Reminds me of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Where the headmasters of the different schools knew and were supposed to not tell their champions, and, well, we know how that worked out.

I stopped trying in case I was the last straw that broke that old camel's back.

True, but if it had been released just as we came back in... Lemme tell you, the dogs had to hustle. They're a little puzzled why they didn't get to sniff around a bit.

I'm not livestreaming it, but if we want randomness, I found my glasses that were missing for three days. They were in literally the last place I checked - their case. Was I like this before figure skating took over my life? I'd like to think I wasn't.

The skaters should already know, right? If they've decided? The feds will know, so the skaters should know. I wish one of them would leak it.

Of all the things they could've chosen to learn from Yuzu - they could have gone for things like integrity, hard work, kindness, not ignoring their rules, being the best - they decided to go with trolling, huh?

I don't believe they mean 5 am in Toronto if there's going to be a meeting before it. Unless they've been partying all night, in which case it's going to be quite a ride.

You know how I picture satellites waiting for assignments to get tickets? Like the ubiquitous hacker-about-to-hack shot in movies after the action lead gives the signal. Flex fingers, roll neck, and go!

I was only a lurker last year but I don't remember the stress, maybe because it came early.
