One small announcement. We've reorganized the Event Discussion subforum, for ease of access and to reduce the clutter of many, accumulating threads (we're growing rapidly ). There are now five subforums there - Grand Prix Series, Junior Circuit, National Competitions, ISU Championships and Other Events - and we've sorted the existing threads into them and of course, any new threads will go there now. For everyone's comfort, the most current threads within these subforums will be pinned, so they'll be easily found. The old pinned threads remain where they have been, in the main (the translation ones, questions, schedule etc). We hope that helps us all in navigating the events more easily and thank you for your suggestions; hopefully this will be better now!

I think last season he still felt he had a shot; this season and the scores coming in, and how partially, must be a big blow. And to be blunt, because though I appreciate Patrick on many levels, he did benefit from some of the inflation for quite a while. I have to wonder how much the shoe on the other foot shall we say is bothering him! Overall I hope he can find that spark in himself, and go out in style. It'd be a darn shame otherwise as he has had a great career. -
Hello everyone! We invite you to the Hunger Games of China! Er. Cup of China I mean. Bloodbath though, it shall be!

Yes, there is. I can only face palm at a supposed ISU judge not knowing this but boy, how it illustrates the current situation. Unexpected / creative / difficult entry Clear recognizable steps/free skating movements immediately preceding element Varied position in the air / delay in rotation Great height and/or distance Superior extension on landing / creative exit Superior flow in and out (and in-between in jump combinations / sequences) So one more bullet and GOE go up one point.

I though after CoC as that's half way through, though sure why not. I think Caro does but Wakaba is in a bit of a bind with that CoC assignment. Zagi, Mai ... though Marin seems to be taking a typical hit on the PCS due to her first year as Senior, she's also still very much in contention there. I am not sure 3+3 would be enough, we'd have to wait till the end to see how it unfolds. -

Well .... I'd say Marin has made it pretty much impossible for herself to get to the GPF now, what with CoC coming up and the line up there. Of course this will influence the Oly spots fight too, so not the best for her. Pogo completely out as well, and with far more problems it seems. What a mess. -

Well Erokhov just had a very, very good skate at the 3rd stage of CoR. It's going to be interesting at JGPF because his form is going up. This was better than at the JGPs. The ladies go tomorrow and the day after.- 108 replies

This men's event and Patrick's potential issues may really throw a wrench into the Team Event at the Olympics. That medal potential may energize him but it may not. He already has one and considering his state of mind, well. Hm.

And in a turn of events (which I welcome) Jason now has a pretty good shot at GPF! Considering the mess that is the fight for the spots in the USA this can only be good for him. Even if Chiddy does not WD (and more on that in a bit), he should be able to snag the bronze there, if not the silver again which is enough. Really good news for him. The quad situation remains though. He only URed it this time around but of course went down. I don't know. He needs that quad. As for Chiddy, I cannot really decide. He seemed deflated to me, and WDing from NHK could only potentially increase that. The men's field is insanity right now, he needs to stay in the game. Of course, if it is health, then it is a no brainer but it doesn't seem that way to me. More of a general drop. -
Well Jason snagged the silver, good day

Yatagarasu replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
Kostornaya is skating in the Seniors division this coming Sunday in the 3rd stage of CoR. It'll be good to see how she's doing. Tara managed 2nd though it was an all right skate in the 2nd round, Juniors. Plus more Kostornaya is always a good thing. We'll be seeing Trusova too, Junior division. I'm curious to see how the 4S is at the moment..- 108 replies

I would tower over you! No worries, I'd protect you from mighty, tall Yuzu ... who is shorter than me as soon as I put on heels
