  1. His hair looks like the spinny brush thing at a carwash! hahaha
  2. I know I was like "Okay, when are the cameras going away?" and looks like they planned on just filming him getting naked! Poor thing!
  3. Is there a way to delete post when you accidentally double-post? I've done this a few times now (bad internet connection makes me think it isn't working but it did), and I've just left it so far, but I figured it's worth asking if it's possible to fix that.
  4. Nothing is better than figure skaters AND kitties! <3<3<3
  5. Once he gets this one nailed down and irons out the kinks, it's going to be spectacular to watch. I can positively envision the 'finished' product now and it's incredible. Here's hoping he can turn it into the incredible skate it has the potential to be!
  6. I kind of hope it is his SP because I like what he's doing there and I, sadly, don't like Nathan's skating usually. Amazing jumper! I just don't dig his style. HOWEVER I totally dig this, and I really, really, REALLY want to enjoy his performances because he's so good!
  7. I'm okay with the choreography, but the music just doesn't match the choreography. Or rather the other way around, I guess. Either way, I really wish the skate matched the music. The music is fine, it's just not RIGHT for some reason. Really hoping they can tighten that up, because he's soooo talented and this looks to be probably my least favorite SP of his going by just these early examples. However, I have faith they'll at least make the performance match the music before the season REALLY starts. *fingers crossed*
  8. Whenever I have a bad frizzy hair day, I just remind myself it could be Jason Brown frizzy, lol!
  9. In all my years loving Ice Dance, I've never seen a pair with better twizzles than the Shibutanis. They're just so well timed!
  10. Well he started training 4T yeaaaarrrss ago, he just keeps getting hurt! Even after he recovered from his back and his hip, they made it so that he couldn't spend as much time on ice to keep from aggravating them. Then last season just before nationals he had that stress fracture and had to back off his plans to keep the 4T planned for the latter half of the season. He just has a lot of really rotten luck, poor thing. It's like every time he FINALLY is fully recovered from an injury, he gets hurt again. My fingers are crossed that they wrap him in bubble wrap when he's not competing for this whole season!
  11. Is Vincent going full seniors this season? I kept thinking it had to be time he did, but every time I see any talk about him, seems they aren't really pushing him to do seniors competitions. So I can never figure it out.
  12. He's going for more than 1 quad this season? I hadn't heard that news! That's a big step, but I totally think he can do it. Honestly, if he hadn't gotten injured like 3 times in 2 years, I have a feeling he'd be sooooo far above and beyond where he is now, which isn't to say that's a bad place to be, I mean look how high he scores WITHOUT a quad when it has a clean skate. Super excited to see how well the programs progress either way!
  13. His Instagram is my favorite thing in all of social media (not exaggerating). <3
  14. The main thing about Ice Dance is closeness and synchronicity. You can tell when a good pair is skating when they get into those twizzles, because not only are they perfectly synchronized, but they've got elaborate twizzles, not just the bare minimum 'must do this many rotations to fit the requirements'. My favorite thing about figure skating is the artistry so Ice Dance makes it literally about 'the most beautiful artistry wins' unlike the other disciplines where someone who can do big jumps and basically the bare-bones minimum of required artistic elements can still score higher than the most perfect performance. (Obviously, not saying someone who sucks at jumping should get higher scores, that isn't the name of the game, just that it isn't what I care about the most and ice dance is basically ALL about what I like the most, so it's my favorite of the 4 disciplines.)
  15. Jason's one of my favorite skaters skating today, so I know I'll be impressed no matter what just to see a new Jason Brown routine, but like you said, it's important for his sake that they work it out for such an important season! There are very few skaters that still deliver on the artistry the way Jason does because, in both the men's and women's field these past few years, there's a distinct lack of artistry compared to like 10 years ago when I REALLY got into figure skating. One thing I always judge in a skater, especially men since they tend to be worse at it than women, is how much the skater 'just skates' between elements. Instead of having every single step be a part of the performance, a lot of them have a tendency to just 'okay, did a jump, skate over here and do a spin', and he almost NEVER does that. Honestly, about the only skater in the men's field that does it better than Jason is Yuzuru. (Wow that turned into a bit of a skater fan rant, sorry, but yeah, TL;DR I agree with you, lol!)
  16. I, too, am feeling the free more than the SP, but I feel like the SP has potential. I like the choreography, I just don't feel like it matches just right, but I'm confident that'll get nailed down moving forward. It's still very early, after all!
  17. I liked this one well enough but I didn't LOVE it, lol. I didn't get the hate for it at all, though.
  18. *ducks* I kinda really like it *runs away quickly*
