I love how Boyang lifted his arms when Yuzu did that. And Yuzu went from the back, it's not like those raised arms do anything!
-
I know injuries are common within sports but isn't 70% too high? Over the next few decades, we'll start seeing the long term effects these difficult elements have on the skaters' bodies... @b138oo That's when we need people like you to help alleviate chronic pain or prevent them from happening in the first place! Bad skater, bad...don't keep jumping without resting!!!
-
When it comes to qualilty crossovers, I think Yuzu has the best. He can just stand on the ice and look majestic. Congrats for med school!!! The Star Wars premiere footage looks so out of place after Yuzu's footage. =P
-
I think partially it's also because of the overwhelming support + birthday wishes from his fans that he's giving small updates about his status. It's his way of saying arigatou gozaimasu. I wouldnt mind even if all he does are quality crossovers. He flies on ice. Yes, I just want him to go back to his physical condition in July/August, when Brian mentioned he would be ready for the Olympics if it were to happen in 2 weeks' time. I kinda have an image of Kumamon carrying a life-size cardboard Yuzu and place it in the middle of the ice rink with the other representatives. Maybe that's where the 3-5% of body fats are.

I'm in too!

LGC 2.0 and Seimei 3.0

If he's not thinking about Nationals, then he's not Yuzu. While it might be good for his physical health to skip Nationals, I think it will affect his mental state negatively. This boy is too stubborn.
-
Maybe Yuzu is being a troll and has a pair of roller blades for him to do off-ice training in one of those dance studios within TCC. Not the same as skating, but good for just gliding?
-
Or if he's doing run-throughs with his planned layouts...
-
Sounds like Yuzu is planning to go back on ice and slowly increase the load on his right foot. I'm ok even if he doesn't go to Nationals, but I think he wants it more than any of us. Under Brian's and team TCC's watchful eye, I trust that Yuzu will know not to overtrain. I think perhaps one day we should send Brian a wig as a present to appreciate what he has done for Yuzu.

I want to learn English through Japanese!!! Well, if his body fat percentage is 3-5% when competitive, going up to 10% isn't that bad. His baby fats are adorable too.
-
I wouldn't mind if he turns into Kenji too, "the super old man" Yuzu referred to when "making the biggest mistake in his life".
-
I've never been to FSU... And Yuzu is like the super awesome guy whose absence you'll feel strongly when he's gone. Fan or hater, I think it's fair to say figure skating (men's field) won't be the same without Yuzu. He has become an embodiment of the sports itself, which is why I feel really fortunate to be his fan.

Cool! They played a pun with his name! After a "severe winter" (yan han) comes spring.
-
I think this is cool! But I don't have the talent of many satellites so I have no idea what I would give yet.
-
I feel mean....I suddenly have this thought "I hope Yuzu keeps his hair and figure when he's Brian's age".
-
What about Yuzuki? Can she go to the ladies event?
-
I'm sure you have enough self control! That's beautiful. With the arrival of a new era of figure skating, I have no doubt that there'll be someone whose TES will surpass Yuzu significantly. But no one can ever balance tech and artistry so beautifully. We just have to be patient and have faith in Yuzu. It's always amazing how Yuzu plans so far ahead. He knew he needed time to build up his stamina, which used to be his weakest point. He's planning for PC back in Sochi, it's a lot of luck that he got it back then. I remember seeing this photo! BB shoma is sooooo tiny! And to dear veteran Yuzu fans, . This is only my first season and I'm already doubting my ability to survive this season.

Aww...I wish more things will be called the 'Hanyu way', like the spread eagle sandwich. And I've become more and more of a serial liker. So if you posted something, be prepared to receive a like.

I'm not sure if there'll be enough fans left in the figure skating community if this happens....

The collie is playing both the good cop and the bad cop. No wonder the collie has been shedding so much fur.
-
Brian the border collie needs to protect everyone from the evil raccoon!!!

It's been 4 weeks, but it seriously felt like 4 months. I'm glad that there are people on the Planet reminding me how a calendar works and Yuzu's rate of recovery isn't that unexpected.

OMG, SO CUTE!!! And national junior champion at the age of 7?! I didn't know that! I must say "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" is such an apt song for young Nathan. He's being called the Quad Prince, but I can see him becoming the Quad King. About the costume, I think that's a very underwhelming lion cub. I see that costumes haven't been his forte for years. Nathan, there are so many good examples of great costumes in the men's field, please learn a thing or two!

I'm not usually superstitious, but Yuzu, all the stars are aligned. You'll shine at Pyeongchang and I believe in you! Omg this is the straightest antenna I've seen! I'm sure our well wishes and hopes for his happiness have reached him through his antenna. Thanks for clarifying! This makes more sense! I wish media would stop trying to pitch skaters against each other and fanning fan wars. Sure, there's competitive tension; these guys work so hard for half their lives to be where they are, of cos they want to win. The only toxic competitive mindset I know is Tonya Harding. Most other skaters respect one another and bear no ill will to one another. I remember clapping and screaming in my room because I couldn't believe the beauty I just saw. This 'off-season' is so much tougher than the previous off season. At least we had FaOI and many adorable Yuzu moments. That said, I just want Yuzu to be well and achieve his dream at PC, even if it means we won't hear from him for a while.
