Well alright...what avatar should I change it to? Notte Stellata hands?

Actually, Yuzu is still slightly ranked above Patrick as a whole in China, what I meant was that Patrick's skating skills, and specifically his edge control, is generally considered textbook in China, so it is used as a standard there. So in that sense, Patrick is the technical textbook standard after Yuzu. After Patrick and Yuzu, the other guys are kind of tied in a weird mess. In so far as artistry goes, I think Yuzu does tend to be ranked first among the men's field, but every position below that is a giant tie - though I'm tempted to say Jason and even Adam Rippon are placed higher than Shoma and Nate.

Yuzu's, Boyang's and Kolyada's 4Lz are all love for different reasons. All textbook though (if we use Yuzu's practice version for now), so hopefully Yuzu can finally land a +3GOE 4lz this season.

After today, I'm so glad Yuzu chose Chopin and Seimei. He can just concentrate on his own performance and not worry about other competitors, as with both he is chasing after his own shadow, not another skater. I'm not sure what to make of them men on the GPF so far- solidarity in errors seems to be the theme so far, so hopefully they're all trying to fill up their popping and splatting quotas early to reduce the errors later on. Otherwise...ugh, I don't know if I want to watch the men's this season, hopefully our over-meme-lord Yuzu will heal us at NHK (after we all birth kittens due to nerves before and during his skate).

So far, the only consistent stuff are: 1) Yuzu getting silver at his first GP event 2) Medvedeva, and maybe Zagitova 3) Pairs and Ice dance being usually predictable 4) Shoma and Nate 5) Judges not giving PCs to the Japanese ladies Granted, there were chinese fans in the QQ live stream who joked that Boyang always bombs his home events, so I'm not sure if that's consistency? But other than the above, nothing else, I mean nothing else, has been as predicted.

Han looks so tiny compared to the other men, it looks like they could probably lift and throw him. The short stuff that could....
-
Well Yuzu needs to perform well regardless. It's home soil, and there are guys who could still place well if he messes up (Jason Brown, Adam Rippon, even Aliev). It's his to lose, which is the theme of the season so far.

Um, has there been a reason released by Pchiddy's team yet? o_O

Watching ice dance and getting this strange urge to see Yuzu do "hip hip chin chin." Someone shoot me now.

dear Noto needs to bring this to china, the number will multiply by at least 100.

China, I think tends to hold yuzu, patrick as the standards, then javi, shoma and nate at roughly a same but lower level. At least this is the impression I get from rinkmates and their various wechat groups.

I think they were going for gold.

not surprised, China in general holds Yuzuru's skating as the standard for men's. And I suspect for ladies it is Mao. Of course, if you want to drag politics into it, there is no way for Boyang to compete with Yuzu, but he can against Shoma.

Ok, who is Dobby then? I guess BOrser and Tracy are Arthur and Molly?

the prime minister and the head of the foreign relations department. When it all started, there were not so many poohs, so he had to multitask.

@fireovertheice: thank you for the numbers. Now I'm really worried about next season when the men's long will get cut to 4 mins. If we look at the numbers, cutting down one jumping pass isn't really going to reduce much time wise, so I guess the cut in skating time is going to show up in the cuts to step sequences or choreographic sequences? I imagine most guys don't skate fast enough to really maintain complex sequences at a fast enough speed to fit within the time frame, so artistry might really suffer next season? In this case Yuzu has a slight advantage since he's fast, but he already has the most time dedicated to one-foot turns, transitions and steps, so I'm not sure if it'll work out for him. Looking at his programs, I'm worried he'll have to cut either the hydroblade or the ina bauer to fit within the time frame.

sure, and mostly v necks to increase the dead bunnies count. The boy never seems to wear green, so I am curious how he looks in hunter green.
-
I would totally volunteer to style him, and will be inordinately proud of it if my styling of him cause massive nosebleeding and deaths of bunnies.

He does not strike me as armani though, if anything I would have figured something more sporty like Tommy Hilfiger, or an asian designer like Kenzo or Alexander Wang.
-
does he choose them, or does his mom do the picking? Sometimes his track pants fashion sense makes one wonder....

All hail the Ankles!

Uh, I want Hana wa saku, the il Divo version, for an ex. Maybe Milan? Though GPF would work too. Link to this: https://youtu.be/wdPOHBJVuSA yeah, I know I've repeated this several times, but um, maybe if I throw it out into the universe enough times, it will stick.

LGC encore in Hana ni Nare outfit?
-
Be glad I have no time to do a gif version. I'm still laughing at our victorian senses over his ankles.

I think Swan might be here to stay...what if he does Requiem instead? And we get a seimei hydroblade in the sparkly seaweed outfit?
