  1. omg,Max Ambesi saying there are rumors about Seimei 2.0 for Oly.Is this real life?
  2. oh,how i envy the ppl who are good with computers and programs and editing and all that jazz,i'm completely inept when it comes to that.if you ever rip off that laugh and you upload it onto your google drive, please let me know if it's not too much trouble,i would very much like to download it.I'm also glad that now i've learned a new Japanese word to add to my collection of 5 words that i know in that language that i so much dream to learn one day
  3. I don't know who the man is,maybe some French official?
  4. I think that's Tatjana Flade,a fs writer? I saw her at many competitions,I think she's also the one who gave him the giant Ferrero Rocher candy on his birthday at the GPF 2016 draw iirc
  5. I totally understand,I actually truly want his laugh from minute 5:07 of this following video as my ring-tone,but I'm absolutely terrible with technology and I don't know if that's actually feasible...
  6. He'll come back from r******* every other season for a decade just to try to win SC and 4CC .....just kidding,he'll actually win SC in the 2017-2018 season (if he goes) or in the next one because by then it will be Chanada no more and the 4cc also in the 2018-2019 season, you heard it here first
  7. No problem,if I remember correctly in one of the interviews right after the scores were announced even Yuzu (who was obviously super happy and excited) at one point said Nagoya instead of Nagano.
  8. NHK 2015 was in Nagano, not Nagoya.I definitely worry about GPF 2017 and I think it's a very legitimate worry to have given what's been happening lately with the judging in the men's field.
  9. Yuzu's RJ 3 already exists tho ...(with the music cut used by Marin Honda for her FS in the last season) Enjoy ur next season warhorse!
  10. YuzurY... This is one of my favorite fancams because you are right there deep in the middle of the audience, and because of the bigger distance from the rink a lot of ppl are also very visible and you can see/hear several reactions so much better than in other fancams, you can basically see them living intensely through every second of the performance. My only regret is that the person who recorded it didn't continue to do that until the scores were announced,I would've loved to see those ppl around him/her reacting to that too.
  11. I'm not a native speaker of Italian, but I think my understanding is good enough to provide you with a translation of this commentary. The 2 ladies who are commenting tend to interrupt one another or to speak over the other at times, they also jump from one idea to something completely different,so that's a bit annoying, but I guess I got right at least 90% of what was said.If anyone wants to make a correction or to add something, feel free to do that. - [after the 4 Lo]: Wow,great start! [they are silent for the rest of the program] - WOW! - This is art! - Just look at the [tech] score on the screen :125.71.He did everything he wanted. He hasn't left even half of a point on the table.Everything is level 4, he did all the quads and the triples that he had planned, everything with a quality that requires an increased GOE.A super score! At the press-conference after the SP he said:”Anyway,my goal is the gold medal.” And he now has certainly put the pressure on the next competitors. - It's true that after the SP he had 10.66 points less than Fernandez... - Oh...[laughs] - [speaking about Fernandez]: But an error would be enough,an error on a quad … - He [Yuzu] didn't do anything wrong,anything...incredible. - He was very good. There's a reason(it's not an accident) he is one of the best skaters in the world. He had to compete against Fernandez in the last 2-3 seasons, but he's the reigning Olympic champion anyway,he won Worlds 'only' one time in 2014 because after that there was Fernandez, but he [Yuzu] is extraordinary. In Japan he's basically a rock star,we've seen him being flooded by plush toys... - There are still flowers flying towards the ice...even now - But he was magnificent - Poor Chen he's gonna enter... - Yes [laughs]... - Chen will want to warm-up a little, these moments are very important for them.Actually he [Chen] is now already entering the ice which has not been completely cleaned yet. - Usually the athletes should already be on the ice at this point - Yes,yes...there are still plush toys flying - Obviously,Winnie the Pooh which is Yuzuru Hanyu's emblematic toy. - Such an ease in executing all the elements: jumps, steps, spins, everything seems so easy.He started with a 4Lo,then a 4S,a 4S3T combo in the second half of the program therefore that will have bigger value,he also jumped the 4T,he basically jumped 3 different types of quads, one of which was repeated – the 4S in a combination. - Wow,he's thanking everybody! - [some irrelevant comment about Brian's wardrobe I haven't fully understood].Brian Orser now trains skaters from Kazahstan,Spain,Japan,Canada. - If I hadn't seen him [Yuzu] in the 6 minutes warm-up,I would've said that he is not human. But I've seen that,I've seen him falling, making mistakes... - Yes,we've also seen him in the SP so we know that he is human. - 223.20 points! - Wow! - The previous record was 219.48,he established it at the GPF 2015-2016.And now 321.59 total – he doesn't break the overall record because he didn't do that well in the SP. - Thank God for that! He's human! - Sometimes, sometimes he's human, because today he was stratospheric(out of this world). - [I didn't fully/exactly understand what was said here,i think something about Yuzu making a statement with his performance, that he's back at the top] - My goodness,223.20 points! He's the first skater in history to surpass the 220 points barrier [in a Free Skate].
  12. I am also hoping that he won't keep LGC,as much as I've enjoyed this program.Of course he kept SPs for more than one season in the past, but the context was different: for PW he was breaking records with it and it was the natural, smart way to do,especially with it being a crowd-pleaser too,and in Chopin's case he was frustrated that he couldn't achieve its full potential due to the injuries he had that season. But the important difference is that the second year he kept Chopin wasn't an Olympic season and if his experiencing with it had led nowhere, that wouldn't have had such huge negative consequences as it would have if he would keep LGC and it would continue to not work(and by 'work' i mean getting 105 or more for it,because i'm sure that's how he sees it). I don't even want to think about the level frustration and the mental blocks that would appear in that case,on top of not getting the desired/necessary scores - he really doesn't need such things next season as he will have enough mountains to climb without that.Starting fresh with a new SP is the best idea, especially with how the judging is going these days when the room for error in Yuzu's case is becoming smaller and smaller, same as the gap between him and his rivals.I hope he sees all this himself, and if he somehow doesn't,at least people around him see that and try to influence him accordingly - yes,I know how stubborn he is,but I also know that he really wants that OGM. Re: other programs scoring close to Chopin aka probably the best SP of all time, why are people surprised, isn't it well known by now that the inflation of PCS in particular and scores in general has been crazy for some of Yuzu's competitors in 2017?Personally,I expect worse in the next season.
  13. Yes! The video is over 2 hours long, but skip to circa 2:07:30 when P/C start.Yuzu is by the boards (right side of the screen). He was not there before and he left after they finished (people are also mentioning this in more detail in the comments of the yt video). So obviously,I concluded that he is their fan
  14. Thanks for this interview,I'm going to read it tomorrow because now it's late and it's a long one! They are my favorite ice-dance team, and I think Yuzu likes them too.Was it discussed on here that Yuzu went to see their practice in Helsinki ? I used to think that their style must appeal to him a lot and I was wondering if he watches them or if at least Tracy/Brian suggested him to watch them, and then I was really happy when I found out that he actually went to watch them (and only them!) at their practice for the FD,and I had my theory confirmed.
  15. I love the banner!!! Sorry for the off-topic,but could someone please remind me what I must do in order to enter the mythical C*****? I think i qualify, but I seem to be lost and I'm really curious
  16. My dread is actually of a different nature.Regarding a potential hostile audience,I am of the opinion that Yuzu will be actually fueled by such a circumstance, and, additionally,I'm sure that he/his team/family will also take this possibility into account and seriously prepare him for it.
  17. Oh,I know very well that it's the old blind, mindless hate and that logic doesn't apply to this kind of ppl(and I also know who most of them are),but from time to time I can't help stopping and marveling at how it is to live your life plagued by that, and I naively feel the need to rhetorically wonder ~out loud~ about it. I read that thread one morning and I was enraged and it ruined my entire day.And I can't even say that I walked into it completely unprepared, because ever since they were announced,I've been dreading the GPF being in Nagoya of all places and the Skate America+GPF being 2 events so very close to the Olys for reasons I'm sure you understand.I'm actually trying to not think too much/often about it because it depresses me to no end.
  18. Oh dear, were they?People who don't want their country's best skater to go represent said country to important international competitions should take a good look at themselves and seriously reevaluate their existence. This is how I see it: If a skater missed the Nationals due to a circumstance beyond their control(injury, illness etc),and then that skater went and got medal at Worlds in the same season,it should be common sense that they won't have to go through sectionals, regionals etc. in the following season.Firstly,it's not like they missed the Nationals because they took that week off to go to Disneyland. And,secondly, how can someone prove themselves more than winning/medaling at the year's most important international competition?! I don't know what the rule book of the JSF says exactly, but they should revise/update it to state such a thing imo.If they allowed this for Yuzu is because even they must be totally aware by now of how ridiculous it would be to force the world champion to go through such low-level competitions - forcing him would be a hassle that doesn't actually help anybody involved and just a clear case of form trumping substance.
  19. Yay,the forum is back,i'm so happy! And to everyone who takes care of it : thank you for all your work!
  20. what i would do just to see him skate around for an hour to a random spotify playlist Here's a longer video from the GPF 2016 gala practice. It's not an hour, but at least you get to see him jump A LOT,including some crazy combos.
  21. If this pic was taken today, then obligatory comment: his hair grows so fast!!
  22. I can be all of these in one single day: 1.when I wake up and see there's no news about Yuzu 2.when i come across some mean/ignorant BS about Yuzu said by people who obviously have an agenda 3.when i'm on youtube watching Yuzu videos and NDP comes as recommended video 4.when i realize i spent way too many hours online 5.when i see new pics of Yuzu 6.when I'm unironically SO MOVED,SO BLESSED,SO GRATEFUL 7.when I think about the state of judging in men's figure skating 8.when i see nonsense in Yuzu's tumblr tag 9.when I'm visiting Planet Hanyu's Meme thread
  23. I'm so glad that Max and Angelo are so appreciated among Yuzu's hardcore fans because to me they are the most competent and knowledgeable figure skating commentators out there.I love how Max just went WILD and unleashed his inner Yuzuru uber after Yuzu's FS in Helsinki.I also loved one of Angelo's lines : 'This is the best FS ever skated by Hanyu which means this is the best FS ever skated in history'(TELL THEM!).Some of my other favorite commentaries from them are the NHK 2015 (sp and fs) and GPF 2015(sp and fs). Paloma and Susana are also among my faves, they've been fans of Yuzu from way back, and even if they have a horse in the race, they keep it so classy and always show so much admiration for Yuzu and rightfully praise his achievements. I also like the BEsp (altho i don't know who is who since apparently there are a bunch of them lol).I actually thought their commentary on Yuzu's FS at Helsinki was great and i didn't understood why some fans were upset since their commentary is basically made of 3759349 superlatives('brilliant, phenomenal, hanyu at his very best, the best FS ever' etc) .Other than that,I particularly remember some of their fluff commentaries 'wrap him up in cotton wool'(at gpf 2011) or the more recent one at NHK 2016 FS which i laugh about and say let's make a drinking game - take a sip every time they say Yuzu is adorable or adored Some random mentions - I really liked the Hungarian and the Finnish commentary for Yuzu's Helsinki FS - the Hungarian one was so professional and level-headed,but with so much rightful admiration. And the Finnish one was really nice too,I remember watching all the clips with commentaries from various countries when someone uploaded soon after the day of the FS and, obviously, not understanding most of them, but from the tone of voice I thought that the Finnish one was a good one.And recently I saw that someone uploaded a sub for that one on youtube and I watched it again and confirmed that I was right. And a special shout-out to Nobu
