@yude translated a few points of a new Ice Jewels interview, taken about a month post Olympics, at GS. You can find more at the source. Thank you @yude!!

He's doing the earlier dates, when he's probably still rehabing so probably just skating and no jumps (at least no 4Ts like last FaOI). This means he'll have half of June-August for the real post-rehab training. He does still have a P&G talk show in Kobe around the FaOI Kobe dates too.

The 7 jump passes and 30s less program runtime has been approved already in a previous congress, I think? But just being applied starting this next season.

Yuzuru has mentioned that while he has a really good image of 4T and 4S, reason why he can recover them so quickly, newer jumps are harder to visualize, which makes them harder for him. He's spoken about this related to his 4Lz and, to a lesser extent, 4Lo. So a 4A isn't going to be easy either.

Considering all the tea Itsuki (his brother) has spilled about Shoma's forgetfulness, I wouldn't be surprised if this was true.
-
Well, all that jump training has been good for something, I guess?

As @kelly said, you need to hit the first 3 bullets BEFORE other bullets can be counted for +4/+5. So, for example, you could hit bullets 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 on a jump, but because the jump didn't look effortless (3), it can't get past +3 GOE. I don't know how they'll be counting the other bullets for +4/+5 once a skaters hits the first 3, though. I expect maybe you need all of them for +5? Maybe 2 extra bullets for +4? Edit: further info says after getting the 1-3 bullets a skater needs one more out of 4-6 for +4 and two more for +5. Anyways, I expect this to get as abused as it is with the current scale, more so even because of how subjective 'very good' height and distance can be. No judge is going to be measuring a jump to see if it falls under very good......

He looks like he's entering a warzone. It's just the prime minister, Yuzu! But, wait, didn't he ride a bicycle as part of his rehab before PyeongChang? I guess it was a stationary bike. Weakling!

No announcement; a poster on GS was talking about it related to the Broadmoor Open competition in the USA, which will test the new GOE system. Appears the bullet points and other stuff is known but operationalization on how i'll be applied is still being finalized, but it includes these points.

According to a poster at GS, in order to be able to achieve +4/+5 GOE in a jump pass, a skater must achieve the following: - very good height and very good distance (all jumps in the sequence) - very good take-off and landing - effortless throughout These are 3 main bullets that have to be achieved and only if all three are achieved, then the extra bullets can be earned (+4 and +5). If a skater only achieves two of these main bullet points but hits 3 additional ones, they are still "capped" at +3.

BTW, apparently Conrad's main coach at TCC isn't Brian but Lee Barkell (same as Gabby).

for Brian's hair, tho.

It was posted on the General Skating Chat, since it pertains more to Boyang.

So according to @yude at GS, there was a bit of post-parade fluff and she translated this very poignant bit Yuzu said, which I'm bringing here. Edit: this seems to have been from the day he did the press con for foreign press (post Olympics?)
-
If only... But he's a hopeless case for fashionable suits.

John Coates, the IOC vice-president, mentions Yuzu's parade in a meeting related to Tokyo 2020 as something Japan needs to capitalize on for the summer Games. https://english.kyodonews.net/tokyo/news/2018/04/995b2b91ed52-olympics-ioc-tells-tokyo-to-sharpen-up-after-successful-pyeongchang-games.html

The Koi dance didn't give me any secondhand embarassement. His dancing at FaOI last Summer did, a little, though. 😅

That is almost a whole card. -
Don't know if anyone replied to you yet with the video but here it is. I timestamped his reaction to the SE-counter 3A2T. It's amusing because Tessa and Scott basically had poker faces through the performance (they were, from what I hear, 'scouting' out the competition for their friend Patrick, since this was pre-Sochi) and this was basically the first time Scott reacted and then got laser eyes on. Edit: nevermind, of course @kaeryth would beat me to it.

Sadly I didn't use it, but with some luck we can get a third card going.... -
I wouldn't mind seeing the return of the SE-counter 3A2T in a future FS. That entry made Scott Moir go at that competition.
