  1. The moving back to Russia is a rumour, much like her leaving TCC but seems the kind of rumour that may prove to be true, much like most Russia-related rumours have been lately. No idea to whom she'd go. Grain of salt until confirmation, of course.
  2. There's a possibility, it seems, that Bet is leaving and moving back to Russia. It's unconfirmed as of now but TSL, who broke the Jason news before any others, did say there was some reshuffling at TCC and not all previous students would remain. Seems Elizabet may be the one most likely to be leaving.
  3. Jason hasn't really been winning anything for any media to go wild at him losing 4CC due to not getting enough attention, calm down people.
  4. I'm not sure Brian himself knew what was coming when he said that.
  5. The fact Lisa can land a 3A without having any kind of forward motion impulse from her arms is fantastic. Even Yuzu needs that impulse but Lisa just casually jumps one without moving her arms much.
  6. I actually think his layback IB is pretty great. He doesn't need to bend over on the back as much as Yulia or Shizuka to have a good layback IB. His Biellman, on the other hand, is just passable. I like the teardrop shape he gets it into, since I don't really like hyperextended Biellmans, but he slows down a bunch and the foot dropping used to be terrible (he's improved it somewhat).
  7. Carrot is the colloquial term we FS fans use for underrotations. A carrot is an underrotation (<) and a double carrot is a downgrade (<<). A carrot cake is, well, when there's a lot of < and << symbols in a protocol. Edit: So in the specific gif of Yuzu's 4A attempt, the jump would have been called downgraded (double carrot) because he missed about half of a rotation on it (he basically landed forward, hence why he ended up falling and sliding into the audience).
  8. No one needs an explanation for carrot cake. It's just delicious, especially if you're Shin Amano.
  9. Interesting, I think Machida has an even more outward toe pick than Yuzu does. He has a very pretty lutz.
  10. SC+IdF or even NHK+IdF for Yuzu might happen given Didier was boasting he'd have Yuzuru in France, apparently.
  11. I doubt any of his costumes cost upwards of $10,000. He's not wearing diamonds.
  12. I can't believe he does a SE 3A smooth as butter and then falls on the flying spin that comes after.
  13. He actually reminds me a lot more of Shoma.
  14. Guys, it's just Japanese entertainment, cringy cosplayer included. Don't take it so seriously.
  15. I'm a bit late posting here but good luck, Zhenya. Wishing you all the best in this new phase of your life and skating career. It won't be easy, there'll be times you'll wonder if you made the right decision, and it might not work out immediately, but it's a courageous first step and I hope it makes you very happy.
  16. I know he was mainly training with Lee Barkell, not with Orser, much like Gaby, but Conrad didn't actually move full time to TCC?
  17. CCoSp3.... *cough* (and slightly lower GOEs)
  18. Yes, Jeff, remind Javi of his drunken skate. Yuzuru roasting by proxy!
  19. Here's a clip of Shoma's new EX!
  20. It might take a while for Yuzuru to regain his number 1 status even if he were to win everything next season, because Nathan and Shoma are also going to be gaining points for their placings in competitions, and they're likely to place well/win GP assignments. So while I'll be happy as heck if he does come back with a vengeance (here's praying for a complete recovery and no more injuries this coming season, please!), I'm not expecting him to be able to make up for this past season in terms of ranking. All that matters with the ranking is that he'll still get sorted in the top group for Worlds/4CC and skate last or second to last at his GP assignments, depending on whether he has any shared assignments with Shoma or Nathan.
  21. Does anyone remember which practice video it was Yuzu jumped a waltz jump, 1A and then a triple axel, in a semi-circle, on someone else's music accent (Shoma's Ladies in Lavender, maybe)? I think it would be a great addition to @kaerb's compilation. Paging @kaeryth Edit: I think it was from GPF 2016 practice.
