Grand Prix assignments and how they work
ShiroKJ replied to sublimeskating's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
Isn't it? All her pieces are amazing but this one is just so gorgeous -
Let’s just all agree that everyone has topics they enjoy discussing and topics they prefer not to indulge in. Those on this forum, admin/mod’s or otherwise, should respect this and unless it gets out of hand (breaking the forum rules) we shouldn't dismiss opinions and give people the freedom to converse in a multitude of topics that they find entertaining. Its the only way we'll survive the season!

GPF in Nagoya might have a bit of a different narrative but I agree that NHK would be a good GP for Yuzu. -

Yes, the federations are all playing a game of "which picks will benefit our own skater’s chances?" They’ll make their own compromises and they do sometimes take the World medalist’s preference into consideration. -
He mentioned he wanted to be the first to land a 4A and the only way to get it ratified is in an ISU comp. I highly doubt we'll be seeing any attempts, in practice or otherwise, until after the Olympics (would be really stupid to risk an injury in the most important season) and maybe not even the season following. I think how long he stays after 2018 really depends on the condition of his health.

I'd like to stay as sane as possible for the duration of the season.

Its common with singles and pairs. The most famous and accomplished couple would probably be Kristi Yamaguchi and Rudy Galindo -
Who is your favorite female skater?
ShiroKJ replied to yuzuangel's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
I adore Osmond. She's such a standout in the current field of ladies. And Radio is just a ball of sunshine. -
Ohhh this sounds fun. I might want to give this a try with discplines outside the men's. I would also love to do this with dance but I honestly know next to nothing about the level requirements for their elements. I know the basic patterns but....

Looks like #TeamCain has grown quite a bit this coming season. Tim Dolensky and Aimee Buchanan will be joining them

Keiji's interview w/ sports yahoo. https://sports.yahoo.co.jp/column/detail/201705150006-spnavi?p=2 He mentioned the Olympics, his future in the sport, + a few things about Yuzu/Hino and the relationship between the 3 of them.

I'm okay with him not attending DOI since we've already been blessed with FaOI Hopefully we'll hear about his music selections before the CS though....

Didn't JW give him a set of engraved blades before? Lol wonder whatever happened to those....I don't think we've ever seen them being used.

I really like the addition of the hover preview

With Averbukh, I don't think so..probably just something she wanted to try for experience. Carolina did Memoirs of a Geisha in 2012. Elizabet and Mao did one too I think?

Lovely video about TJ's 2016-17 season

Misha Ge is doing the choreography for : Sergei Voronov (?) Alexander Petrov (SP) Andrei Lazukin (SP) And Averbukh is doing Kovtun's SP (lol oh god) -
:eh: :eh: because you can't believe people would take those fake text tweets seriously or :eh: because you have no idea what I'm talking about? By the way, [link=https://twitter.com/snokoplosm/status/862866171221168129]this was the joke Vertigo tweet[/link]. A bit of the 2nd one but mainly the first :s_whiteflag

Lol what? I don't believe that because Yuzu doesn't announce his choice of EX's, let alone one he'll be doing almost a year from now. :eh:

Lol keyboard-san is being called upon so much these days.
