  1. Yeah but it might be different from the "regular" tech min. We'll know after the ISU council meeting in June.
  2. Both the Japanese pair and Ice Dance team needs to qualify at Nebelhorn...so...yeah. Actually, I believe you only need three disciplines to qualify for the Team Evenet so only one of them needs to qualify for the Olympics; if the fourth team (most likely Pairs) doesn't qualify, they can still be invited to participate on the Team Event and only there (no individual competition for them). Yes but I think ID has a slightly higher chance of qualifying. I believe they still have to meet the technical minimums as well.
  3. Something that doesn't really have any substance, can be fun lighthearted entertainment of sorts. e.g.: doing a fluff piece on skaters before the olympics for casual viewers who might not know who they are. im also curious about this. does japan's chance rely entirely on their pairs later? or they already qualify? is there a worst case scenario where japan wont perform in team event ? Both the Japanese pair and Ice Dance team needs to qualify at Nebelhorn...so...yeah.
  4. From google trans, lol correct me if I am wrong but it seems like the magazine ask Zhenya if she likes Hanyu??? Lolol please Japanese native speaker answer this. :rofl2: She dodged though. The other stuff seems like old stuff where she said he is inspirational, the best etc etc. Roughly translated the first part of the interview (after that is more about herself.) Sputnic: How does Hanyu inspire you? Why do you want to skate with him? Zhenya: He inspires me as an athlete. Today many skaters see him as a role model. He is peerless as an athlete and no one would question that. Sputnic: On internet we can find many photos of you two together. Don’t you like him not only as an athlete but also as a young man? Zhenya: I don’t want to answer such question. I’ve made friends with many skaters from many countries in the first place. They are from the USA, Japan, China, Korea, France, Philippine… almost everywhere in the world. We all get along with each other really well. In competitions, we try to spend good time together because we don’t have much time to get together. Basically we talk in English. Sometimes we get together in someone’s room and have a chat or watch movies and videos. :s_whiteflag Lolll
  5. So will one russian replace another russian? Instead of Alena, maybe this time Evgenia will be the one giving him a kiss? You'll have a mad crowd of superjealous girls here... do you really want that? No.....of course not............. maybe. :ban:

  7. Hmm....I have a feeling he won't be doing LGC. It's too soon after the end of the season. I would like to see a new upbeat EX from him though. It's been a long...long time since we seen one. :s_tongue
  8. we will see him this month OMFGGGGGGGG :D :D :D :D :D also: it's only 3 stops, phew i thought it was like 7 ok ok im not panicking, this is ... good? actually i'm just jealous bc i can't see him, i'm not in japan and he doesn't care about shows outside of japan :'( It sucks for us as fans but it's just not worth it for him. They pay significantly less and requires more travel time + jet lag. :(
  9. Carolina and Mao. Both for their grace and master blade work :crybaby: But I'm more emotionally invested in Carol
  10. FaOI is also sponsored by P&G so it is a possibility there might be a contractual obligation here since he's healthy this time around. He did fine during the 2013-2014 season even with the shows so I'm not worried. Whatever that can happen during shows can also happen during training. He just needs to be aware of his limits. :acceptable:
  11. Is it confirmed that he won't do DOI this year? When is it by the way? I also think that if we're going to have a glimpse of his programs it will be in DOI since most Japanese skaters debut one of their programs in DOI. Oops, I forgot the "if" in there lol :stick: IF he doesn't do DOI...
  12. Apparently he's also the TS at our FS club here in NY  What does TS mean? As for the clip with Adam.... Technical specialist, very fitting indeed
  13. Probably not. It's usually debuted during DOI and if he doesn't do DOI, then we'll likely have to suffer till the challenger series. :sadPooh:
  14. FaOI - 9 shows Makuhari : 5/26 - 5/28 Kobe : 6/9 - 6/11 Niigata : 6/16 - 6/18

  18. What is this cringe worthy program?
  19. Apparently he's also the TS at our FS club here in NY
  20. Emi Hirai and Marien de la Asuncion (Dance) have decided to split. Good Luck to both of them in all their future endeavors! https://twitter.com/Marien89/status/861385970079473670
  21. She doesn't have enough facial expressions to pull off ID though...as much as I like Mirai, her and Gracie both have a severe problem of resting blank face during their programs.
  22. Speaking of a Sendai skating program, here's a little tidbit I think hasn't been posted. : [tweet]859598036711821313[/tweet] It's amazing how things have come full circle, from the birthplace of Japan's FS roots to the birthplace of Japan's only two OGM in FS. :s_thumbsup For those who can't see it well
  23. A lovely soul uploaded some videos from SOI :pbow: D/W : Gracie : Jeremy : Karen : H/Z : Adam : Nathan : Ashley : Everyone looks great, but I'm suddenly really, really nervous about Gracie....oh dear.... :sadPooh:
