    Oh I know that in reality Yuzuru feels he has to be careful and he is concerned about what the media say about him, and he likes his privacy (although I thought Canada still afforded him some anonymity?? Maybe not now he is 2x Oly Champ!) and I don’t know about recent things in the media about him and Evgenia, What was it all about can I ask?

    After Olys, I thought Yuzu said he wanted to focus on some things, one being to improve his English?? Has he now said otherwise? I admire all who learn a second language, especially when the language is so utterly different from ones own. I loved that Yuzu used to try so hard to be interviewed in English, but my view was always that it was evident it limited his responses, and he is such a clever, articulate person we missed out if he wasn't speaking Japanese - we want to know him as well as we can do, and that can only be done if he speaks his mother tongue. He has so much to say (yaaay!) and it's usually very interesting, thoughtful, and well informed - him speaking Japanese has enabled me to feel like I know him so much better, and confirmed how much I like him as a person too - he gives a lot of himself in interviews (and he did at CiONTU as well, despite being a private person, so I say long may interviews continue in Japanese!! until such time as Yuzu is proficient enough in English to give a fair amount of detail and depth in his answers (like Javi for example). I do think that Yuzu will find this really hard to do though if he continues to avoid social (off ice) interaction with non Japanese speakers in the time he has left in Canada ….. go on Yuzu, get yourself out to the pub with Jason and Zhenya , they seem like a lot of fun!!
