  1. From this 'team' I would like to add Deniss Vasiļjevs. I enjoyed his programs quite a lot and his Kiss and Cry moments this season were quite funny. Stephane Lambiel (his coach) contributes a lot to this.
  2. 1000+ members in 2 days?? Bravo!!
  3. It's GORGEOUS!! And including Seimei's beginning pose
  4. Do you mean the season that just finished? He did Fantasy for Violin and Orchestra from Ladies in Lavender. This coming season he's doing Four Seasons - Winter (Vivaldi).
  5. The red sleeves is from Zigeunerweisen (I had to copy and paste that name LOL).
  6. Maybe his programs, since there are seven chibi Yuzus all in the respective costume? R&J2 is so kawaii... haha ^^ And SEIMEI so dignified :s_smile Who's the one on the farthest right? The one looking apathetic and with dots in the sleeves...

  8. Runrun's drawings are so cute :goe: I particularly like this one: From runrun's blog: http://hanefuton.blog.jp/.
  9. And because I do pay much attention to jumps and spins (I still can't name a lot of steps or whatever moves in FS), I still don't appreciate ice dance. Well, the coming olympics will be the quad era olympics. More quads = more drama (from fans I mean xD). This will compensate the music... Lol
  10. I'm actually more fan of abstract programs... They allow more room for personal interpretation (but I do understand why judges prefer a more concrete program). Although I absolutely admire artistry in FS, when a skater does not jump well (since jumping passes) are a major part of the program, I tend to doze off and not really enjoy. And like mentioned before, crossovers and two feet skating is not my cup of tea.
  11. I'm in the minority too, but that's because I'm not a fan of tango in FS and I'm quite obstinate... Haha It's just that lady screaming in his music was quite shocking lol
  12. I am torn between Seimei and R&J1 but ended choosing the latter. Hope and Legacy is the gold for me. I kind of rewatch it every time I'm bored.
  13. Afterall, they are the ones who brought the gold home. A skating school in Sendai with their names would be so cool
  14. I can't bring myself to watch the FS yet after all this time
  15. Off camera? Yeah Shoma is nowhere close to as good with media/audiences as Yuzu. Yuzuru just naturally has all the makings of a huge star (talent, drive, personality, intelligence, ability to deal with the media, good at speaking, charm, looks...) but Shoma at least has charisma when performing And he has charm it's just an awkward kind of charm But it seems JSF is focusing everything on Marin and just building Shoma up through skating/results/setting him up as Yuzu's rival (boo) but not really looking at junior men and nurturing a new star early. I guess they are just hoping another Daisuke or Yuzuru will just happen naturally without them really paying attention to anyone in particular :nah: I mean (by off) when he is not being interviewed and such So is Marin Honda supposed to be the new light for Japan in the future? Her R&J program has not attracted me much to be honest. Still rooting for Mai
  16. Yeah, and Shoma lacks the charisma that Yuzu has both on and off cameras. I'm not following the juniors field but there seems to be no major star being nurtured.
  17. It's a pity that Japan has invested a lot in fostering skaters for the singles categories but neglected the pairs. China also started with pairs but their singles field is growing stronger.
  18. How about the ice dance pair Kana Muramoto and Chris Reed? Are they already in for the Olympics? I kind of like them after their performance in WTT.
  19. I really wish Satoko and Mai can go. One can say that Nationals are a fair way to choose people but we all know how politicking gets on the way. Satoko was unfortunately out during the the last half of the season during injury but she is a good skater overall. For Mai, I actually love her more than Satoko. There is so much potential in her that I would like to see developed. Also, she apparently learnt from Yuzu to jump from lower SPs to to the podium xD
  20. Could we have a subforum or a division (I have no idea what to call it) under the skate debate bracket regarding technical content or for people to basically ask questions regarding technical content? A place for users to learn more about the technical aspect of figure skating. I know we all could and should read a at least a little about jumps and spins (and etc) if we want to really umderstand the programs but somehow having another person explaining or clearing doubts always helps. It took me quite some time to figure out why some skaters would get -4 GOE?. If such threads can fall into the Skating References then it's fine. ;-)
  21. Talking about pink... this one comes to my mind: [image]http://web.icenetwork.com/images/2012/11/24/RRHEclxB.jpg[/image] (Zigeunerweisen also comes to my mind but I don't feel like revisiting it... LOL)
  22. Interesting... I always associate joy with orange :smile That costume gives me a very calm, serene feels ^^ i'm just weird, it probably has something to do with the fact that i really don't like orange as a colour lol though the pastel shades used in the costume i can usually accept x'D Pastel shades helps A LOT... haha Can you imagine a rather strong orange :omg: I guess orange is just a tough color to pull off... except if you're Yuzu :P

  24. I'm not fan of that orange costume but that really close up is making me change my mind ^^
  25. Did you draw the first one Alia? It's gorgeous and the sheer amount of details is just wow...
