  1. A postcard book by Satomi Ito will be published on 11 March It'll be available on amazon JP: https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4046803169/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_awdb_imm_c_W079X5W2HABBG4PCH5GW [NEWS]
  2. I'm sorry to hear it's injury then I couldn't watch the last group of the men so I started to watch it later. First I saw that Yablokov was 3rd but then then I checked the protocols and I saw he finished 4th and Rukhin got the bronze. So I had a look what happened...and it turned out Rukhin's first jump was called a triple salchow but then after the competition they changed it to a quad. Lakernik was the controller in the TP here...
  3. I liked Muravieva's performances the most at this competition, she's great. Akatieva looked rather cautious and nervous today, and she focused a lot on the big elements in the beginning of the program. Petrosyan's FS music is so monotonous, she would deserve something better...I'd have put her behind Muravieva based on the two performances but maybe that's just me. Samodelkina was also good, I liked her free skate. Is Liza's free skate new? I hope it's the reason she took out the quads and it's not some injury. I haven't seen Zhilina but from protocols it seems she had a rough second part of her performance.
  4. Samsonov got really generous PCS in both the SP and FS...his PCS was the third highest in the free skate despite falling from 4S, making an other mistake from the 3Lz combo, plus popping a 3A completely. And in the short program his score was also three points better than Sarnovsky's who didn't make any mistake from his jumping elements unlike Samsonov. Imagine what score he would've got if he skated cleanish...
  5. Kutovoi's 3A didn't behave at this competition...It seems they called some other URs too. At least he's got the highest PCS so far.
  6. oh I didn't notice you posted her SP here..it's now in the Team Russia thread, too. I missed her skating :'(
  7. Ksenia Sinitsyna's SP from today. It's her first competition of the season.
  8. It was already posted in the Worlds 2021 thread but posting it here too: New ISU communication about obtaining minimum TES for Worlds 2021: https://isu.org/inside-isu/isu-communications/communications/25474-2370-tes-video-evaluation-isu-world-championships-2021/file Minimum TES remains the same (Men: 34 for SP, 64 for FS, Ladies: 30/51, Pairs: 27/44, Ice Dance: 33/47). Minimum TES can be achieved in the current season and the two previous seasons (2019/2020 and 2018/2019) Those who achieved minimum TES at junior competitions in the current or the past two seasons are valid Virtual evaluation for those who haven't reached the minimum or don't have the TES (hello, Knierim/Fraizer)
  9. Russian Junior Nationals are coming up this week. List of participants (in Russian): https://www.fsrussia.ru/files/docs/competitons/2021/junnat_2021_participants.pdf YouTube links: Day 1 - 3 February, Wednesday (Men SP, Ladies SP, Ice Dance RD) Day 2 - 4 February, Thursday (Men FS, Pairs SP, Ladies FS) Day 3 - 5 February, Friday (Ice Dance FD, Pairs FS)
  10. If they are sure now that they don't want to send any skaters to Worlds they wouldn't have published the selection criterias.
  11. Eva-Lotta had a strong season debut, she won Nebelhorn and then she got 2nd place in Budapest. I am sorry to hear that after these successes she went to Rostelecom and contracted the virus. I hope she will completely recover soon.
  12. Canada also sent its skaters to the Speed Skating World Cup to the Netherlands which was this week. The numbers aren't better in the Netherlands than in Sweden...and yeah, as @Paskud said the Canadian fed announced the selection criteria for Worlds right after the ISU decision was made public so unless something drastic happens until then I think it is likely Canadian skaters will participate at the competition.
  13. Both are so great but if I had to pick one it'd be season 2019-20. It has photos of Masquerade and purple Origin (+Otonal v2) and because of the program change there are also pictures of Seimei and Chopin from 4CC 2020.
  14. Yes, Nadeau is a clockwise jumper. I loved Corey too, he is a very elegant skater. Nutcracker suits him. I liked when Roman smiled during the free skate, I thought it was lovely.
  15. Congrats to Roman on winning the competition! Protocols: https://skatecanada.ca/events/2021-skate-canada-challenge/#tab-id-1-active
  16. His behaviour is how it is, it isn't really surprising, but at least he seems to try to do something that is so blatantly obvious in Russian skating these days, and he's at least has some influence because of his name. I wish there'd be some changes but I'm a bit skeptical.
  17. Roman skated so well, he is a lovely performer. His spins are so great too.
  18. Interview with Plushenko https://tass.ru/interviews/10460895
  19. I was going through the pictures of Let Me Entertain You and these are my favorites that I found. It's such a fun program, it brings a smile on my face everytime I watch it! (x) High kick (x) (x) He looks so happy here: (x) (x) (x) (x) (x) (x) (x) (x)
  20. Konstantinova has left the Plushenko Academy https://sport24.ru/news/figureskating/2021-01-13-figuristka-konstantinova-ushla-iz-akademii-plyushchenko
  21. until
    USA National Championships 20/21 11.01.2021 - 19.01.2021 Las Vegas / USA
  22. I meant Sweden when I said we'll see, I didn't mean Russia. There's not much time until March and if they want to go ahead then I guess they are working on to organize it without spectators. If they can't hold it even without spectators then they have to announce it well before the event - if they cancel it altogether athletes need to know it in time and if they postpone it or try to organize it somewhere else then they also have to announce it so that athletes can prepare for it. About Russia - I don't know if it's final because I haven't read any news that the decision is final and they didn't appeal to the Supreme Court. But since Lakernik said for some legal reason it is not possible to move Worlds to Russia then it doesn't matter anymore. I just feel sad for the athletes and I think it's cruel to punish them in this way. Olympic Games is the biggest event for athletes, and with this decision they are deprived from standing on the podium listening to their own anthem and having their flag up. Olympics should be free from politics but sadly it isn't.
  23. I guess we'll know more soon. After all there are only two and a half months left until Worlds which is not much time. If he said so (even if he didn't go into details why it is not possible legally) then they don't move it to Russia.
  24. The judgement of CAS is legally binding only if RUSADA doesn't appeal to the Swiss Supreme Court against the decision, so if they appeal I think until a final decision they are allowed to host big events. I read from someone who has ties to some people in the organizing committee of Worlds 2021 that they are planning to host Worlds without spectators. It's more possible imo than giving it to Russia or other countries which is a lot more complicated even if they also held it without spectators. I think they'd only cancel it altogether if Beijing will be postponed to 2023.
