Shaking my head at Minju and Hyewon's rankings too. They both need waaay more training and lack so much stage presence. Not to mention, both are incredibly awkward on stage. Hyewon got good edits in both evaluations so I can see how she crept up (and it's all Mnet's doing) but I have no freaking clue how Minju rose that high. I hate this show for pitting Miyu and Yujin against each other for the last spot. I also hate this show for separating Yujin from Rumour Shame on you Mnet, shame on you. edit: At least they had the decency to upload Team 2's Rumour performance...*sigh*
Yatagarasu
Finally finished WWWSK and loved it Relaxing, no amnesia, no real 2nd LI, no horrible parents, no unnecessary drama. Knowing how it goes in Korean shows, I was waiting for everything to implode until the end but nope. And the sound effects remained brilliant. The tie moment in the hospital had me rolling. BTW the cameo from the couple of TIMFL was fantastic though at the same time so sad! But yes, highly recommended. Perfect for brain relaxation and enjoyment. Also he's really yummy and she's gorgeous.
robin
Fun question: What was the drama that was hardest to finish and why did you stick to the end?? I think for me it must have been (if memory serves right) Empress Ki and I kept on watching because Ha Jiwon was absolutely beautiful in her costumes and kind of badass and I had a veeerrryyyyyyyyyyy soft spot for Ji Changwook even back then even if his character was absolutely trash. The plot was horrible and I have no idea how I stood through 51 full hour episodes. And I watched it while it was still airing so I actually stayed consistent and watched it on a weekly basis! I don't think I could do that today. I remember I made a looongggggggggg tumblr post about how Empress Ki's costume colors reflected her state of mind and their relationship at the time she wore them but luckily I have long deleted my drama tumblr. LOL. 2014 me had a lot of time to waste. On that note, are there any good recent Sageuks? By recent I mean 2017-18.

It started off pretty well as most dramas do but slowly and surely veered into train wreck territory. I held on, hoping things would turn around, but nope. Hands down one of the most disappointing endings I've ever seen. I watched it when it was airing too and it was my procrastination drama for my end of high-school exams so the way it played out was an even bigger kick in the guts I'm not big on saeguks because they have sooo many episodes and I have the attention span of a goldfish. Sometimes I watch the prime time 16-20 ep ones though. The only one I've seen in the last 2 years is Hwarang and I didn't find it particularly great

It was a bit of a mindf*ck and the age difference... a bit disconcerting. I don’t even remember the ending, only that it was bs LOL. But it was still super cute. I was crushing on both Gong Yoo and Lee Min Jung so that helped. But I’m sorry it stole your precious time during such an important time of your life! I gave Hwarang a chance... but nope. Does anyone remember Cruel City? Bc I’m still waiting for the 2nd season that will never come.

I think for me the main reason of this big impact was that hyper realistic style they used. It's not very common for dramas. I grew up in a good family, but in a city district with bad reputation, so I saw what happened with some of my classmates. I felt kind of related while watching. I’m sorry to hear about your classmate. I can imagine how it hit close to home... It was a very unconventional drama and I really loved it for that. And I also really loved the music... I just opened the first episode again and the music alone took me back. 29 minutes ago, ralucutzagy said: Was it so good? Where can I watch it? Definitely really good. It’s a quite dark drama, if you’re into that? I downloaded it a long time ago so I don’t know where you could watch it now. Probably on viki or dramafever? Out of habit I still download my dramas rather than stream them but it’s not super legal

Yes, music was on point there. For me, the best thing speaking about dramas is their variety. There are so many of them, that after crying about a dramatic one you can turn on a funny one. Or you can watch a collection of clichés and then turn an unconventional one. And get a sleeping disorder again as if watching live Yuzu completing at 4 am isn't enough for me; Lee Joon-gi, I'm watching at you, where are all my hours of a sweet sleep during my university years? BTW, speaking about your previous question, I didn't remember any really good Sageuk recently.

The only thing I don’t have patience for anymore is artificially dramatic plots. I like heavy dramas but the plot has to be character driven (ideally) and genuine with nuanced characters that aren’t just either good or evil. A recent one that comes to mind that fits this description is Just between lovers. Highly recommend it! I also want to note that there should be a separate genre called Gong Hyojin dramas. I love them all to pieces. Hahahhhh is Lee Joongki your fave drama actor? He has participated in some great productions but also some where I wanted to sue him and ask for my time back. Speaking about not black-and-white approach to characters I'm a big fan of That's ok, that's love. It probably was that rare case when I wasn't sure about the ending and was cheering for a good one a lot. Because they resembled real people. I think, I missed Just between lovers, need to add it to my list, thanks for the recommendation! I'm not really sure if calling Lee Joongki my favorite drama actor is a correct description. Frankly, in my opinion, there is a list of drama actors with more prominent acting skills. I more appreciate him as I personally: always cheerful and joyful, supporting young actors, knowing Japanese, English and a bit of Chinese, really mastering martial arts to look more natural while filming, always having time for fans. Besides, when I started to watch dramas he was constantly filming for so many years already that he is like a synonym of K-dramas in general for me. But you are so right about his projects. Sometimes, I'm absolutely incapable to watch the trash he is filming in again his not so successful projects, not mentioning that he has a tendency to overact, so sometimes I'm just like: Maaaan, I was supposed to cry here, but you made such a tragic face that it became a complete LOL now and the whole atmosphere is ruined because I'm unable to concentrate on the plot anymore. I am personally not much of an Lee Joongki fan but to be fair I don't know much about all these actors personally. His Iljimae was iconic but I don't remember enjoying any of his later works sorry to say. LOL What trash is he filiming again? That's ok, that's love was amazing!! It had so much depth. It depicted mental illnesses in a realistic yet cheerful way. The actors were all great, the characters were lovable yet imperfect. It had me crying my soul out. It's definitely far far up my hypothetical fave drama list. Seriously, Gong Hyojin always chooses the best dramas to participate in and makes them even better. I'm sad she hasn't done one since Jaelousy incarnate. (Another absolute fave. That one was legendary.) I think Just between lovers wasn't a super popular drama as the cast didn't have any big flashy names? But the actors were all still amazing. It was heartbreaking and yet heartwarming. I totally recommend it.
