Looks like he's playing safe and letting 4Lz go for this competition ... but the 4S? Is, just, the 4T enough for a good result?

The 4Lz is on his FS PPC, so he'll probably attempt it. The 4S is gone since the Olympics. 

Honestly, for Mikhail, it's best to try and be clean because he gets good GOE and PCS. So whatever allows him to have the better chances of not being a mess. 4Lz and 2x4T in the FS, even if he falls on the 4Lz, are better than 4Lz (fall), 4S (fall) and 4T....

Ladies are such a joy to watch. Toth’s AC/DC program is so cool. 

I keep on thinking I won't be a nervous mess during this WC because a lot of my babies aren't here (Yuzu, Sui/Han, Mai), but looking at the time schedule and realizing I see ladies SP broadcast in less than 1 day...I'm suddenly very nervous. Also, why more nervous watching a broadcast than watching live? I wasn't even this nervous during the live ACI Seimei-pancake-fest.

I approve. It would also be much easier to choreograph stsq without just forgetting about the music because how many people can really keep up with a tango on ice?!

Late to the thread, but still, can't wait for worlds to start! Guess with all my favs out, it'll be a different kind of excitement for me. While last year I watched with chocolate and a bit of alchohol, this year I'll have chips and soda lol. 

 

For the men's event, I just hope Boyang continues his streak of doing well at worlds, with whatever position on the podium. Between Nathan and Shoma, I'd probably want Nathan to win. To be honest, I'm not ready for a new world champion with jumping technique flaws that I'm hoping the new rules will acknowledge. But well, the practices notes seem to bode differently...

 

As for JPN men's spots, I actually don't worry about that at all. Like JSF's Kobayashi-san said, "we've relied on Hanyu-senshu for so long, it's now time for the younger skaters to shoulder their responsibilities." Also to be realistic, it's basically Keiji fighting for his own spot next year. Neither Shoma nor Yuzu, or anyone else, will be affected.

 

As for the other 3 disciplines, I hope to seemy favorite programs skated beautifully - La Terre Vue du Ciel, Moonlight Sonata, and 007. 3 spots for JPN ladies pleeeeeeeeeease!!! And Wakababy change back to your old 007 costume pleeeeeease! That one was gorgeous while the new one is .

I have the same feelings regarding broadcast and watching live, and my theory is that when sitting in the arena you have a sense of reality, that real people are working hard to get their things done, while through a broadcast it just feels more like uncontrollable fate or doom... Also, the real-time hustle and bustle provides a healthy distraction.

 

(btw, we have the exact same fs babies! Sending a big mental hug

Pretty much...because healed up Yuzu and Shoma are likely to get spots. There's no debate there, the only variable is who gets that third spot, and I hope Keiji shows up at worlds and does a good skate. I don't expect GOE or PCS candies, but a clean Keiji should be able to more than hold his own.

 

Technically I like myself a Wakababy too. Dance I preferred V/M just a tad more. This worlds I'm less invested, since I'm not expecting a lot of candies for JPN ladies to begin with. I only want good clean skates from Wakaba and Gabby as redemption skates, and if both skate clean, they can land top 6. Dance, I like the Italian team so I'd be glad to see them medal, and otherwise, I like Weaver/Poje (sat next to them at ACI and got autographs n_n).

I saw tweet that she fell - on a 3Lz3Lo3Lo. *smh* Mad.
