I'm not a fan of Nathan either but now I just want to give him a huge hug!!! :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:  Now I wish Nathan has a Mao moment, where he gives the fs of his life despite losing the chance to podium.

And Raj, remember when Nathan won CoR ? You hugged him so hard and was more excited than he was about his win. Where's all that now? So I guess you were happy for yourself and not Nathan then? Sorry for the mean tone but Nathan doesn't deserve this. I hope he can see that while some are tearing him apart, many acknowledge his raw talent and are indignant about the unfair media treatment. :tumblr_inline_mzx90enaUF1r8msi5:

He was just sitting there like a grumpy toad and Nathan looked so disheartened and confused. :/ I have no idea what kind of interaction Nathan responds to, but that just seemed so cold.

A lot of things they've already said in the podcast we've translated months before, but of course, it's always a pleasure when people listen to them, and they have the chance at explaining these FS rules that are so abused and ignored these days...

There is a part of my brain that hopes in speaking out, they do get to influence some of these stupid judging things. The rules are there, quite a bit can be interpreted to be more flexible and expansive to account for the quad wars. Apply the steps rules, really differentiate between skaters GOEs etc-this is all critical next season when we get the giant GOE boost to -5/+5. You want guys to be cautious about when they start bringing in new quads, apply the damn rules. Award clean, textbook technique, and we'd get less wrong technique that further hurt skaters. *sigh* anyways....

He needs it...I hope between this afternoon and tomorrow morning, he discovers the joy of skating and realizes there is nothing to lose for him to skate for fun, rather than a medal.

If he's got the 4Lo back properly that would be ideal. Otherwise... Sacrifice a 3A for four quads, or sacrifice a 4T for two 3As, I don't know. Which explains my nausea in anticipation of practice in a few hours.

The encouraging thing is how he hammered quad after quad in the early practice yesterday. It seems like his stamina is quite better than how it might seem from the RT's.

I think it depends on how much he practiced this layout with 5 quads and Loop in the summer. If he really practiced it a lot at the time, then it might be worth a shot. But I don't think he wants to repeat a "4Salchow fall" a la Sochi.

Yeah, if he feels confident and it behaves in practice, he might go for it. I think we'll get the four quads. But I don't want to sacrifice the second 3A.

Well, in Italy, they might really influence some people - outside of Italy, it's harder, but still possible if their team and also FS fans like us work to share and translate their content.

For example, they talked about the difference between Boyang's and Aliev's 4Lz. They said that Aliev's Lutz is actually a Rittberger, exactly like Shoma's Flip. So, actually, Shoma's Free should contain a REP mistake, because technically he jumps two Loops, two Toeloops, and two Axels.

You'd think there would be a bunch of Eurosport ones, but oddly enough, I just cannot find any. It looks like it didn't air live on Eurosport in the Netherlands, at least, and I haven't seen any coverage of it so far. It probably did air at some point... jee the Dutch public telly one). They had Jorik skating, surely they'd have covered some of the figure skating.

Holy hell, it's on now, now, now!

At least BESP! BESP 2!

"Here is the AMAZING Spider-man Yuzuru Hanyu"

Lol how did they even guess he was gonna do 4Flip??? How can they be that ignorant, knowing they comment EVERY competition throughout the year?

Yeah, they seem to be missing. I have CBC, French CBC, NBC, BBC, Match, Telesport (Yulia), Russia 1, NBC web (the split screen one), KBS and a couple of Japanese too. Oh right, and the German 1 television, I just grabbed that one.
So basically most but TAT, RAI and Eurosport.

I downloaded one that I assumed to be Eurosport bcs it got the E symbol wih the star on bottom right but it got no commentaries :P (my favorite kind!)

Seimei will bless the ice tomorrow so I'll bring myself to bed now :moon94: 5 hours to sleep until practice

Do the commentators do ANY research?

4F-3T planned at the beginning for Yuzu? Nate beat Yuzu twice this season? What?

why do they think everybody's gonna do 4F-3T as first jumps? they said the same for Nathan.

don't know what happened to the quality of these BESP commentators. do they get their memories wiped out or something.

I think they are lost cause so I just let their voices to get from one ear to the other once they start talk about stuff like that xP

Men in Black style. Because the space kitty alien is skating after all.

Finally, they called a 4F and it turned out to be one. Say thank you to Shoma, commentators.
