I feel like crying already and it's not even practice time yet :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:

I started crying again when I watched that ESP video  you posted of his SP. He is just so stunning.

here I am, planning to sleep early today but then saw this rabbit stream and now cannot sleep, cos I want to see Yuzu practice. I should take a nap, it will be another hour or so till Yuzu's turn.

I don't think it's as simple as this. For example, what about Nathan's family? They could have done a lot to protect him from the media hype.

It will be interesting to find out (and I'm pretty sure we will) what was going on behind the scenes between family and coaching team. So many last minute changes--layouts, costumes, boots.

Mhm, I agree with this.

NBC is a network, it does its thing. There's no doubt that they hyped him out beyond belief but on the other hand, there's no doubt some of that required willing participation by Nathan himself. I know he wants to go to med school and we know how expensive all of that is, so he'd probably been eyeing all the sponsor and commercial things as one of the ways to get through that in the easiest way. That makes sense too but on the other hand, where were the real adults in his life? Both his team, and his parents, needed to be there to balance it all out. Media commitments are a huge drain, especially for those who just get dumped into the middle of something big like he had been and I would not be surprised at all if it was a massive shock and a tiring distraction. This is why things need to be monitored properly. His parents probably have little experience with this type of media fame levels, though they should posses some life experience, but Raf and the co certainly know better. Then add the constant rotating of layouts, which is another question for Raf, why so many quads, etc. So overall it's a bit of a mix of all things here and the blame is probably shared through all of them, including Nathan himself.

sorry but I'm dying with someone trolling with the sound on the rabbit live :smiley-laughing021:

huh That reporter from the Globe just emailed me and said Yuzu scrapped the 4-5 quad plan and said yesterday that he's doing only two.

I am willing to bet my foot that he's wrong. Did Yuzu say something so momentous and we all missed it?

2 seems a bit too much...

No, he didn't. Sigh. These people ... I believe they misunderstood that bit about only using 4T and 4S potentially, which is two types of quads. Of course they haven't a clue what they're writing about so ...  probably hasn't a clue you can do a 4 quad program with just those two.
