It's just the short so there's not much I can say, except: wow. Yuzu delivered a breathtakingly beautiful performance on a beautiful stage and no one can take that away from him. Ever. No matter what the results will be, this was a moment.

I think we all really did not know what to expect but that was beyond beautiful, Chopin is absolutely the greatest choreographed (and performed) program in history, and absolutely fitting for this great stage. He looked relaxed but he mostly NAILED it in practice, which I know means nothing so it didn't improve my anxiety levels. But then, wow. He looks so confident and so stunning in this layout. Almost feels like he could do it in his sleep.

Strangely I don't feel all too happy yet, because it's just a short, and anything can happen in the long, as it has before. But at least he's not trailing, which is the most important part. You can't win in the short but you can lose. And he couldn't have done a better job of not losing.

That being said, I don't understand why the scores were so stingy? I was expecting PBs or at least SB for these clean skates because -- hello -- Olympics, but I don't get why Javi is only 3 points better than Shoma...I don't get why everyone seems to be underscored except Shoma? Sorry :/

If everyone skated clean, this was about the order I expected, except maybe Nathan to go 4th and Boyang at fifth. And then Nathan happened >_>

I'm not surprised by the score gap being smaller, but am a bit happy that the judges were okay with tossing out PCS above 47 for Yuzu, even though he skated first. That PCS made me so happy, because he didn't get hampered by skating order, which we feared (guess having Patrick go ahead of you helps). And his PCS was higher than Javi's-how often does that happen especially when Javi is clean? Guess even judges though going for a 49 would be a bit farfetched?

This is the most beautiful photo I've ever seen...

What do you think works better for Yuzu: "I want to win" or "I want a perfect skate" approach? From what he said after the SP, it is more likely he wants a perfect skate for tomorrow.
