I am suddenly really worried about Wakaba :slinkaway:

If she is not in, what's the point :tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw:

I'm 80% sure that she will make it. We have only two more GPs to go. In France I really don't see Sotskova on first or second place (with Osmond, Zagi and Mai in competition) and if she gets bronze than Wakaba will be in because her scores are higher. And in SA Ashley needs to win against Polina. So I see her chances really high.

But maybe it's just my dreams. I cant see GPF without Wakaba...

Oh my goodness... I just finished watching NHK ladies... they were as bad as COC was good. Seriously, Evgenia skated as slow as molasses and got scores for that?, Carolina couldn't jump and just glided around to get rewardd, Satoko couldn't jump, Polina jumped well but was not that interesting otherwise (another mime fan she is, I guess), Mirai was good... I thought everyone at the top at COC were better than what we saw here. Sheesh. Glad I didn't bother to get up to watch it live... I think SC was better... or maybe I"m just feeling really salty...  reputation scores for the top 2 today, to be honest...

@liv I dont think Evgenia was slow. Yes she wasnt perfect but she still managed to concentrate and did two 3-3 in the second half which knowing that she's injured was very impresive. She was overscored only maybe in IN and Composition pcs score because her transitions, SS deserved high marks. If you look at the protocols you don't see that she was given unfair GOE... and even if you give her lower PCS she would have still get high scores....

I know she'll get high scores, she out transitions everyone to the point where jumps are transitions for the transitions, but I still felt she was slow. Her JO and COR performances were far superior to this one... and i don't mean the two errors. Spins were very slow, moving across the ice was a burden... last time I saw her I thought, wow, a performance I actually like from her with good speed and flow (apart from her season 1, which I liked as well) but this one was a poor cousin to that one. We know she's hurting, but is it an actual injury? Pain and injury can be 2 different things.

She’s limping and taped and Max said she has trouble with ligaments in her foot (or was it both feet?), I’d say an injury is the reasonable way to describe it.

Just popping in to say I'm so proud and happy for Polina for achieving 3rd place in her first senior grand prix :8430721: I must say this might be the only redeeming thing about the NHK Trophy this year for me.

Only know of this now. Stop this ligament injury solidarity! :59227c768286a__s:. If walking is being a challenge, I don't want to imagine what skating with that felt like. She has an iron will (same with someone we all adore). Russian Iron Princess indeed!!
