As for Japan skating the team competition, I think it's a good thing and Yuzu wants it too. Team competition is a week before the individual competition and skating the team SP is not as bad as skating the team LP as it's a couple days before the team LP. Yuzu did it last time and nailed the SP again in the individual competition. IIRC they (i.e. Brian) blamed the bad LP performances on the press conferences the day before that went well past midnight, leading the top 3 (Yuzu, Patrick, Javi) to have subpar performances the day after. They hopefully won't fall for that mistake again.

ugh 4 falls... that was a rough skate, but the audience was so supportive

Shuran!!!! That was really good, one hand down and a pop, but she did her job and was skating with such a bright smile

not a fan of the music (second half in particular) nor of the dress, but it works well with the more upbeat 2nd half
