March 30, 20233 yr I have a question about GIFT: I understand that the ICE STORY consists of his inner journey, but has a universal meaning too. I can't help but feel that i don't understand some of the metaphorical pictures he used. Like: I know the light of the sun makes it possible for life to thrive. The moon does not contribute to it directly but is important anyway. But what does it mean for the story, for Yuzu? Maybe it's a cultural thing? Is someone willing to share their impression or thoughts about GIFT with me?

It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that had such an impact because we were not prepared for it, and because of the timing of it - a turning point in his life and ours (as fans), a truly cathartic experience after all he had suffered. I would call it, from an anthropological point of view, a rite of passage. Such things are, by definition, unrepeatable.

March 31, 20233 yr Oh wow, this is a dream come true... will be signing up for sure. And I definitely think Disney+ are telling us with this how happy they are with the results of the original stream, I don't know if or when we will find out the numbers but they wouldn't be doing this unless they were satisfied that the result will be really popular.

March 31, 20233 yr Yay for Disney plus The twt fan campaign and people completing the feedback forms about what programmes that they would like to see on Disney plus for each country must have revealed that there is a global audience of sizeable numbers per country that Disney plus is available. Wonderful news for Yuzu and Gift. March 31, 20233 yr OMGOMGOMG!!! Diseny+ is the best streaming platform ever! Not only my family decided to sign up for D+ literary two hours before Yuzu announced the D+ stream for Gift back early Feb (then I moved to the Worldwide payed stream), but now he makes me happy that I really bought a yearly plan there! (and I even discovered all my past faves tv shows but that's another can of worms opening, really I don't have a free minute now, I digress I know...) So so so happy we are going to see Gift again WORLDWODE!!!!!!!

But I believe Yuzu can come up with more once-in-a-lifetime experiences - they will be different, because of everything you list and also because he is still learning about show production (!!! can you believe it?) but they will be special in their own way.
March 31, 20233 yr @nekodearu @TallyT Gift will always be special, not just the incredible skating but also Yuzu revealing his thoughts and feelings, both reached the audience and spoke to their hearts. The goodbye skating and Yuzu's passionate speech from his own heart was a unique moment. Seeing it will always be precious. That sort of spontaneity is not repeatable. Yuzu will undoubtedly bring more creative genius to the rink and present it to us in the future. This is only the beginning of this fantastic journey and the best bit, we will all be invited. Each show will be wonderful that is for certain. There will be loads of superb performances to come. From a practical standpoint, Global livestreams and worldwide viewing will appear in some form or other, these businesses must be looking forward to the prospect of paying customers as much as fans want to see the content. Thank goodness these distribution platforms have listened to feedback and fan campaigns and will give fans what they want.
